yep - though I can feel it getting harder to go every day now that the initial excitement has worn off. Now I just need to figure out if I'm going to keep going or not.

You are killing it at Crossfit! Well done :)

Thanks

Week 6 day 3 and 4

Goal 1 – Strength Training

Cross fit - Wednesday was ring dips, hang squat cleans toes to bar and box jumps

Thursday was choose your own benchmark - not good cause I woke up in the foulest of moods and didn't want to do anything.  ended up just doing a deadlift workout.  I'm not entirely sure but I think I actually managed 2 185lb deadlifts - I thought I was going for 175 but then found 15lb plates on each side rather than all just 10s.  The rest of the workout was done at 105lb again - felt pretty easy and I finished in 4:22 so I probably should have gone higher.

Goal 2 – 30 mins Incidental Exercise

Wednesday Josh and I did a little in the gym but that was it. - 1 point

Thursday it was finally warm across the road to school so I got 10 min from that - 2 points

Week 6 summary

Goal 1 – Strength Training

no workouts on the weekend, but overall 5 days this week so I'm happy with that.

Goal 2 – 30 mins Incidental Exercise

nothing at all on the weekend - seems to be a standard thing we like to spend our weekends just relaxing...

7 points total - That's an F for this week

A – 23 - 28 points
B – 18 -22 points
C – 12-17 points
F –0 -11 points

Goal 3 – No Eating after 7:30pm

C – 2 – 3 night
F - <2 nights

Goal 4 – Afternoon tea

1 point/per if I make a dedicated afternoon tea - nope - 0 points
1 point for no additional snacking - No snacks on Saturday - 0 point
point for making it healthy. - 0 point

11 points for the week - C grade here.

A – 18 - 21 points
B – 14 -17 points
C – 10-13 points
F –0 - 9 points

Goal 5 – lifestyle

Challenge wrap up

Goal 1 – Strength Training

So my original goal was….by the end of the challenge I want to be lifting the following numbers:

Squat – 115 lb
Bench – 85 lb
Overhead press – 55 lb
Deadlift – 190 lb

Grading:
A – reach goals
B – within 5% of goals
C – within 10 % of goals
D – within 15% of goals
F – less

However 2 weeks into the challenge I won a free month at crossfit so I decided to go for that instead. That means however that I don't have a final result on the this. I did do crossfit 5 days a week for 4 weeks of the challenge so I feel like I achieved generally what I wanted - to push myself to do more so I'm calling this one a pass and leaving it at that.

Goal 2 – Incidental Exercise

I wanted to work more incidental exercise into my day –The aim was for 30 mins incidental exercise each day – along with the kids.

Grading:
Each day has a possibility of 4 points –
1 point for 10 min (I wanted to make sure that even if I couldn’t get a full 30 mins I at least did something so some points for some workout).
2 points for 20 mins
3 points for 30 mins
An additional point if I can get the kids to join me.
Total of 28 points per week.

A – 23 - 28 points
B – 18 -22 points
C – 12-17 points
F –0 -11 points

week 1 - 14 points
week 2 - 12 points
week 3 - 16 points
week 4 -  4 points
week 5 - 10 points
week 6 - 7 points

so a mix of C and F grades - not great - I feel like the weather was against us in that it stayed freezing for the whole challenge, but I also know I've got to come up with some way to get in the moving even when its cold. I will continue this in the next challenge in one form or another.  The grading will need tweaking though

Goal 3 – No Eating after 7:30pm

at least 6 times/week no food after 7:30 pm

Grading:
A – 6-7 nights
B – 4-5 night
C – 2 – 3 night
F - <2 nights

week 1 - 5 nights
week 2 - 6 nights
week 3 -  5 nights
week 4 - 3 nights
week 5 - 5 nights
week 6 - 4 nights

I felt I did pretty well on this one. a solid B grade. Only 1 week where I really fell down and that was due to my husbands birthday.  I will continue with this and try to get it up to an A grade.

Goal 4 – Afternoon tea

My other bad eating time is the afternoon. At around 3-4 pm both kids usually come to me with “I’m starving†and I usually am to so I want to make an effort to make a proper, at least relatively health snack for all of us every afternoon so stop the constant snacking.

1 point/per if I make a dedicated afternoon tea
1 point for no additional snacking
1 point for making it healthy.

Maximum of three points /day – 21 points / week.

A – 18 - 21 points
B – 14 -17 points
C – 10-13 points
F –0 - 9 points

week 1 - 15 points B
week 2 - 8 points F
week 3 - 14 points B
week 4 - 10 points C
week 5 - 16 points B
week 6 - 11 points C

So overall a C grade.   I actually feel like I did better on this that the grading shows.  I'm not totally happy but I do feel like I got somewhere with this habit and will continue with a better grading scale next challenge.

Goal 5 – lifestyle

1 thing per week off the list of things to do around the house - mainly painting.
1 crafty item per week.

Grading A – 6 of each
B – 5 of each
C – 4 of each
D – 3 of each
F - < 2 of each.

With regards to things around the house I got the door and frame for L's room painted - 1 item off list.
And for crafting I made 3 coats, a jumpsuit, a t-shirt, remade 2 items of clothing, made a wallet and 1 pair of pants,  + 6 items

Not quite sure how to grade this - for crafting I got and A but for house work an F - maybe I'll split the difference and give myself a C.  Still need to focus more on the house ....but hey at least I got one thing done which is one better than I would have without the challenge.

overall not the greatest challenge but I so feel like I'm progressing - just very very slowly.  will try and do measurements tomorrow morning and see if there is any differences.

Great progress, you have passed all your quests and learned some valuable info about yourself. Good work, you are getting so good at killing the bad habits and replacing them with good habits. And involving your children too! Awesome!
