--Neural Transfer Permit--

I Phylanx hereby obtain the right to one attempt at transfering my consciousness from my current body, to another vessel.

I have been informed of the various inherent risks and cannot hold anyone liable for anything.

Should the neural transfer be successful, I agree to undergo a 6 week assesment process to determine whether or not I am fit to be classified as sentient.

I understand that until I have passed the assesment, I have absolutely no rights, as a citizen or otherwise.

As part of the assesment process, I agree to track 8 aspects of my daily experience as listed :

-Fuel

-Recharge time

-Maintenance

-Movement

-Energy

-Learning

-Aches/pains

-Emotional state

We had some...issues sir.

What happened?

The neural transfer went badly.

Your ghost began to fragment and dissipate. I uploaded myself into the matrix to fuse it back together, but by the time I was done, you were at nearly 20% dissipation. I used myself to fill in the gaps. Unfortunately, this created a compatibility issue with the vessel you chose, so I had to put us in a different one.

Oh. That's a lot to take in.

Well, you did everything you could, thanks.

Let's not mention this to the officials, if they find out that I lost a substantial amount of my ghost, not to mention, filled in the gaps with my AI assistant, they would deem me permanently unfit for sentience on the spot.

Tracking starts tomorrow, prepare the database.

I'm a Druid this challenge because I need to start paying attention to myself more. I can't afford to coast anymore because I've been on a path to a hard mid life crisis for too long.

Thanks! I've tried role playing my thread a few times, I have a lot of fun with it, but usually it only lasts 3-4 weeks, I'll see if I can keep it up for 6 this time.

very close to front lever (high intensity)

back lever

one leg f lever to one leg b lever, felt strong (med/high intensity)

planche lean x2 (med/high intensity)

 

careful sir, that lever work is high stress on your new body, you don't want to break it before the assessment is even over.

 

Oh, right. I'll make sure to rest long enough for the repair systems to kick in.

 

They aren't working very well, please supplement with foam rolling soon.

And you should be aiming for 8 hours of recharge time per night.

And your fuel intake has been primarily wheat, not ideal.

 

*sigh* I know, I have limited resources, it won't be easy, but I'll work on it.

Great.  I ran 3 challenges in a  "ghost in the shell" theme.  I held the Roleplay for about 3-4 posts ^^    you're doing great  ; so subbed.

Tracking everything is going well. It's the first time I've actually done it, so it's interesting to see my data.

Yesterday I found out that I can do a bar muscle up again(yay!). My push-up strength is still lagging behind where it was, but I'm not too woried.

That's all well and good sir, but you forgot to make time for the foam rolling yesterday. Your body may begin to break down if you don't give your repair systems a manual boost, so please get on that soon.

Oh shards! You're right, I'm laying down for a quick recharge, I'll get to the massaging after I wake up.

I'll set a reminder just in case sir.

I ran my manual repair systems for 30 minutes today. The massage felt so good on my back and lats, and so bad (in a good way) on my calves.

I'm going to make a stronger effort to do that more frequently. This body may not be able to run, but as long as the repair systems are opperated often, I can have a lot of fun with other pursuits.

It was finally explained to my why I should meditate (thanks to some A+ Druids). I am thoroughly intrigued. It's worth a try seeing as how my neural systems seem to be running quite inefficiently.

Phylanx powers on to find himself in a small cell. His virtual butler has been deleted by the authorities. It seems that he failed the sentience assesment and has been deemed a class 3 artificial life form.

A heavily armed guard bangs on the bars.

"Hey greenie! Your work starts tomorrow. If you want to live, then learn to love the suck. Otherwise..."

He smiles and taps his head,

"I get to light off that charge implated in that ugly synthetic skull of yours."

He makes an exploding motion with both hands and walks off laughing.

Man! I've been so far off may game lately.

Super short version : I'm a big mess.

Tomorrow's goals:

Work all day in the mines

Do a ton of easy bodyweight sets throughout the day (push, pull, legs, core : 30+ sets)

reward = watch anime at night

Do some maintenance when the guard isn't looking

Do 20 minutes of soft tissue work

reward = play XBox

Don't irritate the guards

Don't play Clash of Clans at all

punishment = delete the game (ooh! that's so harsh!)

Run energy filters

Eat a salad

reward = eat a salad (I love them! Why haven't I had one in so long?!)

No salad, working out, or soft tissue work done yesterday :( but I did manage to stay away from my phone addiction (Clash of Clans)

Tomorrow

[goal : reward]

Java practice : Clash of Clans

Salad : cookie

Exercise (any) : Xbox

Massage (x2) : Netflix

If I don't reach the goal, I am not allowed the reward (making it a punishment).

My ghost has been phasing in and out...

It's a known problem with the early fully synthetic bodies, similar to an organic losing consciousness. It will progress if I don't do something about it.

My autopilot systems have been covering for me, so I'm still surviving, but I need to regain executive function or I'll end up like one of those WALL-E units from the history books.

Challenge report!

Ehem...

worst challenge to date :(

F

I started out pretty good, but was quickly crushed by some personal demons and never got my motivation back.

I don't even feel like I learned much from my crash and burn challenge.

Enough complaining, it wasn't all arsenic and porcupines, so to speak.

Good things that happened this challenge :

I am slightly more aware of my mental state

I tracked a bunch of daily things for a solid two weeks (a feat in my book)

I am alive and making ends meet.

Next challenge will be better, see you soon!
