I feel like goals for weeks like the one you're looking at should not be your regular challenge goals, but more things like:

 

- Did not eat lots of extra food even though it was there and it was free

- Went for a walk at lunch/did some stretching at lunch

- Meditated on the train

 

You do what you can, right? :)

Helloooooo from Washington DC!

(OK really Arlington VA.)

Trains were late and timing a little off and o checked in at around 1130. I'm tired! The conference starts tomorrow at 730ish - it's a full day - and I need to get up and fit in a little work and a little exercise first. Yawns. I picked out my workout so I'm good to go first thing.

But. Starting info, played remotely:

Also last week I didn't exercise much, but still stayed under calories goal.

No exercise today unless you count toting a duffel bag all over train stations, which I am not going to count. BUT my husband did meet me for dinner at penn station and we chose moe's, which might have been the saddest looking Mexican food ever but not the worst for you. So there's that smart choice.

Yes... What we can. I think I'm going to focus on the dinner, especially. That and finding a good breakfast.

Don't get down on yourself if a few things start to slip (but I'm sure you've got this!!). That's a packed schedule for sure.

Yeah it is, ha! I wonder sometimes if I overcommit w fitness because I rarely get down on myself. Law of averages, etc.

Yep! Though, honestly, not often. I've got a lace shawl in progress as well as a mitered square blanket I'm completing with a friend for another friend's wedding in August. And yay hats! One of my favorite FOs is a hat.

Wow, your tracking stuff looks, like, way more ornate than mine does. Probably a sign that you put more effort into the tech side than I do. :)

Anyway, hope you rocked out training before conference got in the way!

Mostly it's all electronic - I have a wifi scale that goes directly to trendweight (the graph)

The calories is using LoseIt, which is pretty simple and I've been sticking with it.

Day 2!

I got up and did my little bodyweight circuit in the room today.

Day 3!

Hotel treadmill. So boring. So I occupied myself by running faster and faster.

I haven't run in, like, 3 weeks, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I planned to just move around for 20-25 minutes. But I ran for a straight 20! So excite!

Also: my heart PUMPS. If I only exercised in the target zone as per the treadmill chart (i.e., 80%=155) I would never run.

This is so amazing.   I cannot smile big enough to show how impressive it is that you are cranking out these workouts in your hotel room, at a conference, with long days.   That's just... it's crazy good!

 

Do you have a paid for subscription to LoseIt, or is what you post all available via the free version?    Gah, I already use MFP, and have used MyFoodDiary in the past, but darn it if the particular design appearance from yours is not SUPER appealing hehe.

Day 3!

Awesome job! And I'm the same way, I've got a low resting heart rate but when I start moving it skyrockets! Then my face gets all flushed and red and people ask if I'm okay haha. Yep just working hard... don't mind me.

I always intend to bring my stuff, but I think I've only ever used it once... networking after the last session of the day always gets the better of me, and I so do not do morning workouts.

I DO have a paid subscription - but I use 3 different tools for the pics. The bar chart for calories is LoseIt, the heart rate stuff is wazoo, and the weight trends are (....wait for it) trendweight.com.

I'll be honest - the only thing that got me on the treadmill this morning was a feeling that if if lugged my sneakers to this conference BY GUM I was going to use them! But I'm so super glad I did.

Thank you for inspiring me to actually do a hotel workout. I was the queen of excuses Monday and Tuesday but today I just told myself if KJ can do it, I can do it too. Thanks for being awesome, friend!

Also, totes jealous about Sleater-Kinney.

I wish you were in Manhattan NY, which is where I thought you'd be at first, and you could come too!

heading out the door from work to hit my awesome conference. I'm pooped! but it'll be totally worth it.

 

I never reported back on pee-and-push-up practice:

 

Day 1: 4x during the day at work. I started to pull my hands in closer and closer. Also I learned that maybe I should drink more water during the day. 40x push-ups.

 

Day 2: in DC for the conference at a client's HQ so I felt funny doing push-ups in the bathroom. I did them in the morning as part of my circuit, but also did 1x while there all sneaky like.

Day 3: none

 

Day 4: today! 5x during the day. so, 50 push-ups. still need to drink more water. I should be peeing more if I'm at work for 9 hours.
