NightWatcher13
Sorry, haven't been able to keep up with my green text posts like I'd like to (for anyone other than me who actually follows my ADD fangirl story following an immortal khajiit currently lost in a time machine with a madman), but will update it to where I wanted it to be here in my next post. Suffice to say, the TL;DR version is basically that the Doctor helped NW find someone who can help with her current issue - figuring out who the spider at the center of this web actually is. So last challenge went really well for the most part, not perfect but much better than I'd been doing overall last year. But I did realize that I'm trying to address a lot of problems the wrong way; primarily I'm trying to deal with everything with pure brute force, which is my natural tendency - I'll reason it through, develop a plan, then smash the problem with the plan and pure willpower. (I swear, I need a green ring.) Problem is, I need to be dealing with things where they're sprouting rather than where I'm seeing the outward issue; I need to treat the disease more than the symptoms. And that means a lot of mental and emotional work. Yuck. But sadly, brains and brawn won't beat stress and anxiety into submission. Main Quest: Slay the anxiety dragonSQ1: Meditation. Again. I need to set aside time every day this challenge to do this, starting at 5-10min for week 1, but getting toward half an hour by week 6. Scores out of 7/week, +2 Cha, +3 ConSQ2: Yoga/pilates. I need something that's gentle on my body, but going to build the strength that I need for other aspirations later - both of these have the balance of both qualities. I'll also be adding in some BW strength training 2x/week, trying to keep the number low to prevent another injury until my body regains some more muscle. So yoga/pilates 4x/week, strength training 2x/week. +3Dex, +2StrSQ3: Study quests have been failing miserably recently, so I need to be more mindful of making sure that my brain gets its exercise too. I'm going to try to keep the hours low on this so I don't burn out, but I also want to make sure that they actually HAPPEN, since this has been the #1 thing I've been failing on the last couple of challenges. +1Wis, +1ChaLifeQuest: Devotions daily; I need to be focusing more on my emotional and spiritual aspects, and this is a huge part that I've been completely ignoring for no good reason other than I've been stressed and therefore showing avoidance toward anything and everything. +2 Wis, +1 ConCan't wait until spring so I can get my bike back out & work on my endurance (not to mention burn fat rather than gas for transportation), but right now as I stare out my window at all this lovely snow I know that's not going to happen for a little while yet. But it is almost time for me to start getting an indoor garden kit for starting plants But, if you want to see some ridiculous awesomeness in the snow... here's a mini horse pulling us on sleds! Also sorry about the lack of keeping up with my logs due to lack of compy, I'm going to try to be a little more patient this challenge and post most days with food and activity logs 3 Quote Current Challenge: Developing Roots Link to comment
NightWatcher13
Holy friggin crap, I'm in the most productive mood ever... And I'm at work so I can't really do much. These things need to strike at 7 am, when I can actually do something. Oh we'll, I can at least post on here for break.NightWatcher stopped and whirled in a circle upon entering the strange blue box as the door shut behind her, ears flat and eyes wide in surprise."Are you going to say it?" Asked the Doctor as he stepped over to what appeared to be the control panel. NightWatcher just stood and gaped for a few seconds as her mind tried to catch up to what her senses were telling her."Did we just step through a portal?" She finally asked, and the strange man at the controls shook his head and laughed."Nope, just the door into my TARDIS. She's a spaceship of sorts, except she travels through time as well.""A what ship?" But before the answer could come, a sudden shudder rand under their feet and sent the Doctor into the control panel and NightWatcher into the far wall, saved from broken bones by feline agility and landing on her feet before the gravity realigned itself to the floor, putting her on her face. The Doctor looked slightly abashed and amused at the same time, as Watcher looked around herself before standing back up. "Sorry about that, sometimes she doesn't want to go to when I want her to. Especially when it's a place and time we've been a few times, it makes the whole fabric of space-time in the area a bit wobbly." NightWatcher just resigned herself and nodded, silently determining to learn more about this when she had time do do so."Where, or when, are we going?" She asked as he moved a few dials in a seemingly nonsensical pattern and pulled a lever."To find someone who can probably help with your current predicament, you could say he specializes in this type of investigation. But be warned, he can be a bit... brusque." The machine whirred to a stop and he rushed for the door. Watcher followed cautiously, poking her head out to look around."Where is this? I've never seen anything like it" she said, watching as giant metal carriages whisked by."Not too far from where you lived, we're in London, England. It's the when that's so different - cars instead of horses, electricity instead of fire or water. A marvel truly, only a few hundred years and such drastic changes. But still not terribly open minded," he said, handing her an odd-looking hat. She put it on and glimpsed herself in a window - her fur was gone, and she looked like the people she had grown up around. "This will help protect you from... certain judgements." She nodded, her mother had told her that where she had come from they had such problems, a place called Tamriel. The Doctor guided her to a door marked 221B and raised his hand to knock, and NightWatcher asked where she could find a monastary to read about this place."Oh! Yes," the Doctor said, handing her a black object the size of her paw. "This can tell you all you need to know." A kind looking woman answered the door, and the Doctor smiled genially. "Hello, is mister Holmes in?"The old lady smiled and nodded. "He's just upstairs, go on up." He led Watcher up to the room where a bored looking man sat glowering at a book."What do you want?" He grumbled absently, staring at the pages. 3 Quote Current Challenge: Developing Roots Link to comment

Razzy
O_O The mini-horse sled was so adorable, I had to squeeze my cat. SO CUTE! Ah, I see you're quest is to slay the anxiety dragon! You must harvest it's scales and fashion a cloak from them, to wear about your shoulders as warning to all other negative emotions that DARE stand in your way! And then unleash your Thu'um from the highest mountain! Oooh, speaking of power rings, a friend is going to boot up a DC tabletop game and we all have to be villains. My char is apparently going to get this nifty orange ring that turns her into a kleptomaniac. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but it will be fun stealing everyone's right socks. Only the right socks. I must say, your diet actually looks quite good! I, too, must use creamer in my coffee. Until my family magically gets richer and can afford lighter roast, it will continue to be this way. Also -- deer sticks! I laughed when I saw that at first. It sounds delicious though. 1 Quote Battle LogChallenge LogI made a mistake. Link to comment

Go figure right? Oh cool, you're like the only person I know that actually knows about this stuff, which is odd to say because I may be nerdy but I never got into comic books. Ever. I was reading novels and stuff at adult-level when I was in 4th grade, so the comic book thing totally just passed me by. I was told that I will have to do the whole 'creed' slogan thing they do for the rings and I looked up the orange ones. Oh god, why. It's so horrible. I can't say that in-game without triggering a laughing fit from the whole group, I just know it. I have to write a new one up, if the GM will let me. It's so bad. I'm totally writing something new. Will keep you posted. If you think of anything else I could steal/filch/abscond with for loads of random fun, let me know. So far I got right socks, key rings (just the rings, not the keys), shoelaces and zipper pulls. I'll probably upgrade to more evil hoarding later on, but sometimes it's those small, inconvenient things that can be truly diabolical. The pony is named Little Chief? 8D OHMYGAWRSH, IT'S ADORABLE! Knitting is a great hobby. YOU DROPPED A PANT SIZE! TIME FOR REJOICING! That is also one of the first things that changed for me. I went from a size 6 to a size 4. I'm actually happy to say I don't think I'll go below that size because my much of that area has been replaced by muscle, so I am content! Also, when you workout, keep tabs on your heart rate if you can, and see how long it takes for your heart rate to recover -- to drop down to a more 'normal' speed. The second thing I noticed in my fitness journey was heart rate recovery was steadily improving, which is also another great sign you're going in the right direction! *SQUEEEEEEE* Colonel Peanut!
