Day 1 of 42 in the second challenge.

I did my 20 on the elliptical and hit 136 calories.

I lifted this morning.

I drank 8 pints of water.

I ate very reasonably.

 

Now we rest.

Day 2 of 42 of the second challenge.

I drank my 8 pints of water.

I did 20 minutes on the elliptical for 131 cals.

I did my leg workout this morning.

Diet was solid again

I took a break at work today and did 30 body weight squats and 10 push ups in a small conference room.

Then I sat there for a while hoping my face wasn't too red before I rolled out.

I've been trying to link it but failing so far.  Tomorrow I should have time to really sit down and mess with it.  I assume it's user error, but I guess it could be IE's fault...

 

Slept horribly last night and it really affected my workouts today.

Day 3 of 42 of the second challenge

I drank 8 pints of water

I did my upper body workout this morning - but most of my lifts were off

I did 20 mins on the elliptical for 121 cal

Diet was good except for eating two of the kids pizza crusts that still had some sauce and cheese on them.  Seriously, I'm like a crackhead for carbs.

Also, I ran out of prunes.  Guess I'll have to hit the grocery store tomorrow.

 

Praying for better sleep tonight.  This challenge is now one 14th finished.

Day 4 of 42 of my second challenge

Got a solid 8 hours of sleep last night.  Awesome.

Got up and did my omnibus lower body lifting this morning.  I'm struggling to finish my last pair or exercises, hang cleans and windmills, like just to actually do the sets.  I'm going to back the weight down a touch when I hit it again on Sunday.  I need to be doing all the sets.

Diet was good, not great.  Still need to buy more prunes.

Drank all 8 pints of water again.

Didn't hit the elliptical at all today.  Will have to do it twice tomorrow to keep my A.

Day 5 of 42 of my second challenge.  It was a rest day for lifting.

I did both of my runs on the elliptical.  134 and 110 calories.  2nd run was uninspired.

I drank 9 pints of water.

Diet had some indiscretions, in the form of summer sausage and crackers.  Probably not the end of the world.

I also snapped some pics this morning for a staring point reference, and planned out my Saturday so that I can get things done and not lose track of the day.

Day 6 of 42 of my second challenge.  EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME.

I drank my 8 pints of water.

I did my upper body workout this morning with intensity.

I hit the elliptical twice to day for 134 and 138 cal. in 20 minutes each.

My diet was fantastic and I feel really good about today.

Today was pretty good!  I got up early, did the warm up and hit the elliptical for 141 cal.

Did the lower body workout before lunch and then fixed the car.

Did the elliptical again this afternoon, but I wasn't watching the readout, and something went weird there, so I don't know what it was worth.

I drank my water, and was all on top of my diet, since tomorrow is the weigh in for the first week of the challenge.

 

We're a full sixth of the way through this one now!  Rock on Rebels!

Day 8 of 42 of my second challenge.

I got up this morning and did my upper body circuit.

I drank a gallon of water today and was good about adhering to my diet plan.  That is getting a lot easier!

I hit the elliptical tonight for more than 20 minutes and hit 140 calories. 

Stretching throughout the day since my neck is stiff for some reason.

Today is day 9 of 42 of my second challenge.

My coffee pot died this morning.  This was an emergency.  It made enough coffee for me to survive the first 2 hours of my day and make it to work.

I did get up and do my lower body workout this morning.  My neck is still bugging me.  Going to try the heating pad while I sleep tonight.

Did my 20 on the elliptical this evening for 121 calories but that thing is messed up too, probably because it's a cheapo and 10 years old.

I drank 9 pints of water today, but I still don't feel very hydrated.

Diet today was rock solid, totally killed that.

Day 10 of 42 of my second challenge.

Off day for lifting, did 30 minutes on the elliptical listening to Beck.

Diet was great.

Hydration was my first serious failure!  I did 5 pints, that's a D for my second challenge today.

Back on the bus tomorrow!

Day 12 of 42 of my second challenge.

Got up this morning and did my upper body circuit.

Drank my 8 pints of water

Put in 20 min on the elliptical for 136 calories

Had some snacks since it was a "treat day" at work, mostly cheese and eggs.

Also did my "break circuit" at work which is walking a fair distance interspersed with stair climbing.

Nervous about the Monday weigh in.

I've been on the elliptical twice for 136 and 129 calories

I've finished my gallon of water

Diet was awesome

I did my lower body work out and it was brutal today

Now we just make sure we don't snack like a fiend before bed.

Day 14 of 42 of my second challenge.  We are now one third of the way though.

Today was good, Diet was strong, and I drank 7 pints of water

I hit the elliptical twice for 131 and 129 cals.  Most consistent I've ever been.

I did my upper body weight routine.

Day 15 of 42 of my second challenge.

Dissapointing weigh in.  Lost 2 pounds.

Tracking my diet now.  It was solid today, I think, but we'll see how the week plays out.

Drank my 8 pints of water

Rest day for weights, did my time on the elliptical and hit 121 calories.  The elliptical needs to be tuned up severely.

Did my break circuit too, and took an extra 6 blocker tonight.

Day 16 of 42 of my second challenge.

I got up this morning and warmed up, then ran (and walked) for just over a mile.  I haven't run in years.  I was awful.  I'll have to keep doing it.

I also did my lower body circuit, and took two mile long walks today.

I drank my gallon of water.

I ate 1050 calories, 142g protein and 12g fiber.

Aggressively tracking food.

I drank a gallon of water.

I ran again and am officially doing couch to 5k now.

I did my upper body circuit today and it was awesome.

I at 1170 Cal, 14g fiber, 141g protein.

Day 18 of 42 of my second challenge.

Today was an off day from C25k, and my elliptical machine is still broken.

I did my lower body workout and it was very hard, suffering serious DOMS from the new running thing this morning.

I drank 7 pints of water today and walked around the zoo for a couple of hours with the wife and son.

Diet today shows 1010 Cal, 16g fiber and 123g protein.  A little light all around.

I'm down another notch on the weight lifting belt.  Yeah.

Day 19 of 42 of the second challenge.

Last night I was struck by the carbivore.  At about 2am, it overtook me and I raided the fridge pretty hard.  Did about 800 calories damage, with little protein or fiber as a benefit.

Today I slept in and got good and rested.  I got up and warmed up, did the upper body circuit, it was tough.  I have a stiff neck\shoulder.

I drank my gallon of water.

Diet was a bit of a fail.  1850 cal, 25g fiber, 150g protein.

I got up and did my lower body circuit, was low on motivation until the end, so-so overall.

Elliptical is still broken.

Diet was good.  1040 Cal, 10g fiber, 128 protein

Day 21 of 42 of the second challenge.

Today was a rest day from running and lifting.  Nice.

I drank 7 pints of water and started fixing the elliptical.  It required welding and is still mostly disassembled.

Diet was light.  900 cal, 14g fiber, 84g protein.

This is the halfway point!

I got up this morning and did the upper body workout

I did a break circuit at work

I did day 1 of week 2 of couch to 5k when I got home.

I walked an extra mile this evening, and I ordered parts to fix the elliptical trainer.

I drank 7 pints of water.

I ate 1290 cal, 21g fiber, 131g protein

Day 23 of 42 of the second challenge

I got up and did the lower body circuit but I was a little late, so I skipped the dynamic warm-up.  That was a poor choice.

I did the break circuit and 2 mile long walks extra today.

I drank 7 pints of water.

Diet was 1100 Cal, 25g fiber, 118g protein.

Drank 7 pints of water

Did the upper body workout, did a break circuit, and did day 2 of week 2 of c25k.

Had a snack attack last night, sometime around 2am.  Don't know what all I ate,, but it was a bunch.

Diet that I know was 1204 Cal, 23g fiber, 131g protein
