Day 25 was going well, then I fell off the wagon.  Not sure where I ended up but I stayed there the rest of the day, and all of day 26.  Diet was a mess.

Hydration was a mess, didn't work out to speak of either day.  Did some light walking, but that was it.  Shame and guilt.  I'd rather not do this all the time.

Day 27 of 42 of my second challenge.

Back on the wagon, and paying for my transgressions.

I did both the upper and lower body lifting circuits and did day 3 of week two of couch to 5k.

I drank 8 pints of water.

I ate 1240 cal, 16g fiber, 161g protein.

Fingers crossed for Monday.

Ok, gearing up for the next challenge, but I need to reset.  With scheduling changes in my life now and coming, I'm looking at a 6 day per week, twice a day schedule.  Off on Sundays.  I'm looking at starting every day with a pint of coffee, followed by the dynamic warm up, followed by drinking another cup of coffee while walking the dog.  I intend to ride my bike to work every day that it isn't rainy or wet when it is time to leave for work and when I come home at lunch.  I also intend to do the break circuit of walking and stairs at around 11 each day that I'm at work.  Monday through Saturday I intend to work out right after the dog walk in the morning, and once right after the kids go to bed at around 9pm.  Mon, Wed, Fri will be running in the AM and devotion\reading in the PM.  Tue, Thur, Sat will be lower body lifting in the AM and upper body lifting in the PM. 

 

For non-exercise activity, I need to maintain devotion to my To Do list, there is a lot of stuff around here that needs to get done.  Also, I plan to do something with each of my three kids for at least one hour of one on one time with them, each week. 

 

Diet plan is to track my intake and shoot for daily intake of max 2000 cal, min 20g fiber and min 180g protein.  Also need to be drinking 8 pints of water per day, but if I'm completing this workout schedule, that shouldn't be an issue at all.

 

If I can do all of this, it is really going to suck at first, but it should get easier and I should see pretty dramatic results.  I have a big family gathering coming up in the latter part of July, and I really want to look substantially different by the time that rolls around.

Day 1 of 42 of my third challenge

I drank 8 pints of water, fell 190 calories and 11g protein under goal, so 8 points out of 10 today.

I got 2 pts from AM study, 1 pt for the break circuit, 2 pts for 2 round trips to work on my bike and 2 pts for my evening run.  7 workout points today.

I didn't work on the garage, but I did wrestle with the kids (WWF style), because they love it and hound me for it constantly.  So nothing toward the 19 hours today.

Day 2 of 42 of my third challenge

I drank 8 pints of water, ate 1805 cal and 182g protein, so ten out of ten today! 

I do need to focus on getting the bulk of my calories in during the business part of the day. 

I got 1 pt for the morning warmup, 2 for morning leg workout, 2 pts for two round trips on the bike, 1 for the break circuit and 2 more for the PM upper body workout.  8 pts on the day!

Again, I let the kids help me with 2 little maintenance projects, but nothing toward the greater 19 hour goal.

Day 3 or 42 of my third challenge

I drank 8+ pints of water, ate 1550 cal, and 179g protein, so 8 out of 10 points

I did my warm up, studied Ezekiel 3 for 40 minutes, made 2 round trips on the bike (busted another spoke), did the break circuit and ran\walked 2.5 miles tonight.  8 pts out of 8

I didn't put any time in on the garage or family stuff because of other stuff and excuses.  Times getting short.  I'll have to hammer it tomorrow and Friday and Saturday.

Day 4 of 42 of my third challenge.

I drank 9 pints of water, like an overachiever, ate 1695 cal, and 196g protein.  10 for 10.  Boom.

I got up and did my warm up, did my lower body workout, rode my bike to work twice, did the break circuit and did upper body lifting tonight all with high intensity.  8 workout pts.

And they felt awesome.

I spent an our tonight playing "Blokus" and "Chutes and Ladders" with the kids.  Not one on one time exactly, but I'm counting it.  1 hour in.

I drank 6 pints of water, ate 2345 Cal and 190g protein.  2 out of 10 points.

I did not do the dynamic warmup, but I did read Ezekiel 4, and bike to work and back once, it was raining in the afternoon.  I did the break circuit.  I did not go running.  4 pts.

The wife and I have a good long talk, she really likes to talk.  1 more hour in.

I ate 1893 cal, 174g protein and drank 8 pints of water.  So 9 out of 10 points.

I did my dynamic warm up and both lifting workouts.  5 points.

I also put 5 hours in on the garage.  5 hrs in.

Today I drank 8 pints of water, ate 1697 cal and 156g of protein, so 9 of 10 points.

I did the warm up, so 1 workout point.  Off days are nice.

I put 1 hour in on the clean up in the garage.

 

So, totals for WEEK 1:

Day 8 of 42 of my third challenge.

I drank 8 pints of water, ate 1670 cal and 167g protein.  10 out of 10 points.

I did my warm up read Ezekiel 5 and 6, biked two round trips to work, did my break circuit, and ran 2.5 miles.  8 workout points.

I started building a cabinet for the garage.  1 hour in.

I killed both of my weight workouts.  Did the warm up, put 2 trips in on the bike and did the break circuit.  8 points.

We had a friend over for dinner, so no time put in on projects.

Day 11 of 42 of the third challenge.
Diet went poorly today.  Normally, I'm able to track pretty closely, but we had a catered dinner tonight with one of my favorite dishes.  Pretty sure I blew calories by at least 400 for the day, even though I took it easy this morning.  Carbs were high, too, so I was way low on my protein intake.  overall, awarding my self 0 out of 10 for diet and hydration today.

I did all of my workout things today, but I cut the running in half because it hurt a bunch and I'm tired and weak.  I brought an excuse instead of a hammer.  7 points.

I had the dinner which took most of the evening, so no project time.

I'm going to bed early today.

Day 11 of 42 of my third challenge.

Today was the yin to yesterday's yan.  Everything was awesome!

I rocked the diet.  8 pints of water, at 1660 cal, and 169g protein.  10 out of 10

Did all the exercise things and WAILED on my two lifting cycles.  All lifts were higher than normal reps.  8 workout points.

I even put an hour in on the garage.

Its amazing what a good nights sleep can do for a guy.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were a write off in terms of diet and hydration.  I did some working out on Friday, but certainly not all of it.  I did however, put in massive time in the garage project and time with the family this weekend.

Final results were that I failed on Challenges 1 and 2, but with 22.5 hours logged on Challenge 3, I got one A.

Resetting for a better week three today.

Day 17 of 42 of my third challenge

I drank 7 pints of water, at 1790 cal with 156g protein, so 8 points

I did all of the workouts, except on of the bike rides, since I was driving to the burbs to pick up another 90lbs of plate for the weight room downstairs.  7 out of 8 points

I did about an hour of work on the garage, mostly getting stuff ready for the garage sale the wife wants to have.  1 hour logged.

Ok, day 21 of 42 of my third challenge.

I logged all of my food today, there were no pinches of cheerios or just 2 chips or a cracker that totally isn't a serving so it doesn't count.  That bad habit needs to end if I'm going to be able to get anything out of the data that I'm keeping.

I ate 1405 cal with 152g of protein., I drank a gallon of water.  10 out of 10 today.

I dug into Ezekiel and did day 1 of week 6 of c25k.  I didn't ride my bike due to rain.  I'm reserving the right to do 20min on the eliptical on a non-running day.  I got 5 workout points.

I put in 30 minutes with my eldest daughter working on a mask that she made.  So .5 hours logged.

For the 2nd day in a row I didn't cheat on my food logging.  I ate 1514 cal and 149g of protein and drank a gallon of water.  10 of 10 on first goal.

I did all of the workout stuff, I need to adjust the rear wheel on my bike again.  But I will not bring an excuse.  I will bring a hammer.  8 workout goal points.

We had a friend over for dinner so no time was logged on projects.

I drank a gallon of water and ate 1500 calories with 166g protein 10 for 10.

I did all of my work out stuff, but my run was pretty weak.  I walked more than I meant to.  still 8 points.

I logged an hour on the garage project.  This is so slow going.  1 hour.

today I drank 7 pints of water and ate 1530 calories with 148g of protein.  9 out of 10 points.

I didn't ride my bike due to rain again, so I'm going to try and do a 2nd day on the elliptical, I also didn't do the warm up.  So 5 out of 8 workout points.

Had some other stuff going on tonight.  Logged no project time.
