I'm planning to go to some outdoor concerts this summer... I'd love to have the flat tummy to be able to rock some of these cute crop tops by then!

The biggest thing for me will be wearing shorts and short skirts. I've always hated my knees. My thighs are fine for the most part, but my knees are so chubby compared to them. I am not a huge fan of short shorts or mini skirts, but just to expose my knees and feel comfortable? That is the dream.

Holy crap! $98 for a bikini!!!!!

**shoots off on a tangent** Looking at the "alternative views" for each bikini and seeing the very slim models used, reminded me of something that I wanted to share. With anyone really, but you guys will do. :P

I was looking at the Ann Summers website the other day and when you click on the "alternative views" for some of the garments you get pictures of normal women modelling their outfits. Not just curvy women either, flat chested slim women, busty women, pear shapes, the lot!

Obviously the main picture was still the professional underwear model shots, but it was so refreshing to see a company showing what their clothes/underwear looks like on a normal person for a change.

Sorry for that, just had to share. Normal service may now resume. :D

Well, take it with a grain of salt that Dolcessa caters to the Vegas scene, and many of the Figure & Bikini Competitors. One of my bucket list goals is to do a Bikini or a Figure competition by the time I turn 40. (4 years). So this suit appeals to me.

And having spent 5 years working for a swimwear company and doing fittings and patterns........ we used real people, and many of our models were our coworkers. There is still a crap ton of photoshopping regardless.  (Ive worked in the fashion industry for 16 years.... I'm a bit jaded... LOL)

Wow! That's a very elite sport, there won't be very many people here who have attained that level of physique. Good luck with the comps!

I was thinking that those bikinis were a little "risqué" for taking the kids to the pool... :D

Right now all I want to do is get back into this dress. It was cheap and I was nowhere near my goal weight but I looked good in that dress! With my heels on? please, folk could not handle all the sexyness...and subsequent confusion when this nerd started to talk. :-P  My boyfriend's expression was priceless (that's his comment).

It was the first time ever I felt comfortable wearing a dress that short.

Let me get into that first, then we'll go from there.

I love the bibs!  I used to wear bibs all the time, but when I got with my hubby, he's mom wore bibs all the time, and he told me it reminded him of his mom :( so I stopped...

(although I am NOT that tan)

What I am finding is that it's not very supportive. Good for lifting or yoga, not running. I don't intend to spend top dollar on a bra that isn't very supportive and is only cute -- and I've heard that even the lululemon ones are better for IBTC members and yoginis -- not runners.

So I think I'm now on the hunt for something that straps 'em down AND is beautiful.

I was totally with you ("I want to hike in my sports bra!") until last summer. We were hiking up a mountain, my bf took off his shirt, saw me watching him, and said "If you feel like taking your shirt off, then take it off! It's your body!" It was a huge step in me learning to love my body where it's at now. Dang did it feel good! You can own it!

If I had legs like yours, I'd never take my short shorts off! I mean, I kinda don't anyway. But you know what I mean. Maybe.

Haha, the mirror plays tricks- it's not a very good one unfortunately but it's all I have (The socks are also red and shorts pink so that goes to tell you about the lighting quality too :P) But I appreciate the compliment, thank you :)

I generally don't do goal clothes because I used to do that in my eating disordered times, and it mostly resulted in tears. But I did have some clothes stashed at the back of the closet that were a bit too tight to be comfortable, yet I was too attached to get rid off. Then I finally managed to lose some weight (nothing drastic, just about 10-12% of my total bodyweight) and the next time I tried on those clothes - most of them were too big. So I was a bit annoyed I'd lost the window when they would have fit me :D

Now that I think about it, I don't think goal clothes would even work that well for me. Cause while I'm on an eternal quest to replace fat with muscle, I don't think I'll change much size-wise, since so far my muscle:fat ratio development has kept my measurements fairly the same. I used to think I'll wear tight leggings and shorts and crop tops when I'm [x kg thinner/look like those other girls at the gym that wear them], but at some point I guess I... either got better self-esteem or stopped caring, and now you'd have to fight me to take away my leggings and revealing tops. I still don't have perfect fat-free thighs or anything, but I deem myself "fit enough" to wear that stuff.

Oh! I almost forgot the one instance when I had goal clothes. I used to have what I lovingly refer to as Mighty Boobage, due to no fault of my own, that prevented me from wearing all kinds of cool flimsy summer tops or bikinis or sports bras that weren't basically armor or dress shirts... the list goes on. When I finally decided to get rid off the excess, I spent the time I had to wait for surgery date dreaming about all the clothes I could wear. I've since acquired lots of previously unattainable (or rather, impossible to fit) clothes, and still won't stop rejoicing (to my friends, not, like, in public) how happy I am I never have to touch an underwire again :P

I'm like you @Polaris, I don't do goal clothes.

BUT I do have a look I want to pull off, and I want to be able to do it without my love handles by my side and that's my shirt tucked into my jeans.

Or the dress with belt that goes around the waist. I love that look but never been able to pull it off.
