Deadlift Victory!

Recommended Posts

So the other week I had my FIRST session working with deadlifts and it. was. awesome. Not only did I fall completely in love with this lift, but I hit 145lbs for my final set and TOTALLY felt like I could have added more weight!!!

Just my little victory of the month :)

I so understand the feeling! The first time I did a deadlift was not too long ago (like two weeks?) and I COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY FELL IN LOVE! The badassery of the movement and how apparently I had great form from the start helped a lot. Love the deadlift <3

A little over a month later, and we had another deadlift day. 5x5. Twelve hours after doing the "Karen" and I completed all 150 wall balls. Needless to say, my body was exhausted, but it was deadlifts and I wanted to PR!!!

AND PR I DID!!! By 20#!!!

Busted out a set of 165 and it was so rewarding. I'm chasing 200!
