Terah
Last challenge I joined the Druids to find my peace with food and my body. I've come a long way and learned a lot. This challenge will be about Intermittent Fasting (IF)I'm not sure yet which version of IF I want to do, so I will probably change it around a bit before I found my perfect fit. My motivation to be healthy and feel great Main quest: Find an eating schedule I can stick to Quest 1: Stick to the IF version I chose for the weekI'm starting with 14/10 (a daily 14 hour fast and a 10 hour eating window)Next is 16/8, followed by 18/6 and maybe even 20/4. And if none of these are a match I will try 2 24 hour fasts a week.Measurement: A = 37-42 days of successful IF, B = 31-36 days of successful IF, C = 24-30 days of successful IFReward: A = +3 CON, B = +2 CON, C = +1 CON Quest 2: Eat more fruit and vegetables (freggies)One portion is about the size of a cup Measurement: A = 108-126 portions, B = 90-108 portions, C = 72-89 portionsReward: A = +3 CON +2 WIS, B = +2 CON +1 WIS, C = +1 CON Quest 3: Workout at least 2 times each week for a minimum of 30 minutesI love zumba so that will be my main workout. My backups are yoga and body weight workouts. Does the book help with that? There is a book, an e-book and an audio book http://www.amazon.com/The-Life-Changing-Magic-Tidying-Decluttering/dp/1607747308 Yes it does. It is hard to explain. Basically you thank the object for what it has done for you and send it on it's way to give someone else joy. Besides that: it is the time the whole family is sitting down together. You should look to how your life is now and adjust your IF schedule around it. It should make your life easier, not more difficult My schedule is now:7:00 wake up, dressing and feeding my kids, do some work in the home (like laundry, unloading the dishwasher, all that kind of stuff you don't need a toddler to "help" you with)8:00 breakfast (will be 9 am as of tomorrow)12:15 lunch (when my eldest son comes home from school to eat)17:30 dinner (ends at 18:00, so my fast is from 18:00 till 08:00)21:30/22:00 sleep My plan is to push breakfast forward to extend the fasting period, until I can skip it completely. Hey Terah! Subbed! Looks interesting! When are you timing your workouts for in relation to IF?Welcome again I've done fasted workouts before and it is not really a big deal. But I'm dependent on the schedule of my gym. I love zumba and they teach it Tuesday at 19:00 and Thursday at 10:00. So eventually my Thursday workout will be in a fasted state. Then this allows me another snack later on (usually the breakfast I already had prepared) or a larger meal somewhere. Some days I am just too hungry and I eat breakfast. and now I'm off to research konmari.
