Main QuestMaster Firebending

Being the avatar is tough and I've still got a long way to go before I'm ready to take on anyone. This time I'm here to learn how to master firebending! To do this, I’m going to need to learn the firebending techniques and see how far/fast I can go with my fire power. And what better way to train than with the masters themselves; dragons. But training is hard work. It wouldn't hurt to stop by the Jasmine Dragon and have a cup of tea with Iroh. 

 

 
Goal 1  Firebending Training (+3 STR, +2 STA)

CHALLENGE 1: tae bo 3 times a week

CHALLENGE 1: use stationary rowing machine and personal gym/free weights 3 times a week

STR : 3 (A=3, B=2, C=1)

STA : 2 (A=2, B=1.5, C=1)

 

Goal 2 Test out the rocket power (+2 STA, +1 DEX)

STA : 3 (A=3, B=2, C=1)

DEX : 3 (A=2, B=1.5, C=1)

 
Goal 3 Have tea with Uncle  (+3 CON)

CHALLENGE: drink +100 ounces of water per day

Life Quest  Dancing with dragons (+3 CHA, +1WIS)

I wanted to keep my goals as simple as possible this time around. I found out that if they were too specific it was more difficult to reach them and easier to get discouraged.

Hi again fellow Doodly!! Great looking challenge, I love Tae Bo! How are you doing it, is it classes?

 

Sup. It is a pretty rad challenge. I try. 

 

I'm just working out and tracking food.

 

Idk if you mean D&D classes or my irl college classes. 

If you mean D&D then this would be a scout/monk hybrid. i think...

If your asking about the latter, I wasn't in the mood to go tracking study hours for class and idk how many hours I'm doing this semester. plus its gonna get difficult in a few weeks once finals kick into gear.

So...on the walk to Modor are you using a pedometer to track daily walking or just intentional miles like going out for a walk or run? I Think I may have to join you on this journey.

It's good to see a familiar rebel around here.

I'm using both the pedometer and the miles while running/cycling. I have an app that tracks my steps but doesn't do to well when I'm on the treadmill or bike. I checked my steps and exercised miles and I've done an additional +20miles. I can't believe that I've done over 100 miles since I've started. They really do add up. But it's all about the journey not the destination.

time to set things on fire...

DAY 01 & 02

 

 

I certainly didn't hit the ground running at the start of this challenge. Yesterday I stayed up late to finish a project due the next day in class. The only problem is, I slept past my alarm clock and missed the class. I had been so busy doing other homework during the weekend and slacking off that I didn't check my emails until later that day and found that the project had to be a physical copy turned in at class. And I didn't read this until after I had sent an emailed copy of the project. Oops.

And because I slept in late I didn't get to workout either. yuck. And I skipped out on breakfast too. I did have lunch on campus but didn't realize that I hadn't had any coffee that day. But the caffeine withdrawals didn't start kicking in until that evening. yay headaches.

Today was better. I didn't have class, so I slept in, worked out, and had a good breakfast with plenty of caffeine. I've been trying to do homework but getting distracted with the internet. The lovely abyss that is youtube and infinite webcomic has been fun. I feel like I'm shirking my responsibilities because I'm scared that I'll fail or something, but postponing them does just that. It's like some infinite loop of self failure.

And now I'm dreading doing tae bo tomorrow. I only have a few videos of it and all the one's I've tried are boring. The pacing the instructor gives is uneven and the participants in the back look like they don't know what they're doing.  So far I've only been able to make it 15 minutes in until I get bored. It's not that it's difficult. It's just sad to watch.

I know that feeling. But it's good to recognise the feeling for what it is, because then you can work on breaking the loop. *hug* You can do it!

It's a weird feeling, but after I dealt with it I got what I needed to get done. 

I hope I can last through a whole tae bo vid without falling asleep

It's nice to splurge once in a while. I just hope that the rest of the fam finishes the tub off before I start "splurging" again.
