Thanks guys. I'm hoping I'm gonna be okay now. Don't have another date scheduled, so it may be a little while before I have to go through this again.

 

Goal 1: Eat Like You Mean It

Breakfast: Coffee with almond milk

Lunch: Chicken and waffle, coffee with almond milk

Dinner: Tea

910 calories < 1460 calories FAIL
Try as I might, I just can't seem to muster an appetite today. Guess I'll have to do better tomorrow.

 

Goal 2: Strength for the Ride

Rest Day

Not today

I really like that dragon picture. It is really awesome.

It's one of many that I've found on the internet. I <3 dragons.

 

My fitbit died. And I was on a six week streak of over 100,000 steps per week. I'm bummed.

Today was a little better appetite-wise. I ate enough calories to go over a little bit.

Goal 1: Eat Like You Mean It

Breakfast: Coffee with almond milk

Lunch: Cinnamon Crunch muffin

Dinner: Double Angus burger with cheese

Dessert: Hershey's bar

1700 calories > 1460 calories FAIL

 

Goal 2: Strength for the Ride

Didn't get to this today either.

 

Goal 3: Trust Your Body

Still haven't found a better place to do this.

 

Goal 4: Endurance Tested

Week 4, workout 2.

Since your appetite varies from day to day, maybe consider setting a weekly calories goal next time?  That way you can listen to your body and give it good food when it wants it, but you don't have to forcefeed yourself on days you don't.  And at the end of the week you can meet your calorie goals on average.  Just a thought!

Thanks. I've got to give some thought to my next set of goals. The eating goal got me eating a little more than I usually do, but I don't think it overall served the purpose I wanted it to serve. Hm....

So what have I learned? I've learned I eat really wacky and usually under the number of calories I'm supposed to have on any given day. I'm not as bad a runner as I thought I was, still not stellar, but I can keep myself going for a little while (over 1 minute). My commitment to strength training has been sporadic at best and that's probably because I'm not seeing a lot of immediate results, but that's just my overactive imagination telling me that I should be getting buffer by only putting in three times a week and not even working that terribly hard. I think it is time for something to shift there, but I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to a gym membership to get faster results. 

 

Main Goal: 140 lbs. I made it down to 149 from 159 which is a ten pound improvement. I'm getting closer. Just have to keep on plugging to get where I want to be. 

 

Goal 1: Eat Like You Mean It

I had to make a change to this goal which I instituted in week 3 in order to get closer to having a good grade. It just wasn't feasible the way I originally wrote it. I ended up with a solid B.

24 B +1 Con

 

Goal 2: Strength for the Ride

After a really rocky start, like a zero in the first week, I managed to get off my duff and do pretty well the rest of the challenge. 

9 B +1 Str

 

Goal 3: Trust Your Body

I'm still no closer to getting my feet off the wall, but I'm trying. Overall, it was a good challenge just to see if I would do something that legitimately scares me on a regular basis. I don't think I did too bad, even if I didn't get as good a grade as I could have gotten if I had been more diligent.

27 B +1 Dex

 

Goal 4: Endurance Tested

Also had to change this goal part of the way through the challenge. I found a good alternative though and made excellent progress on Z5K which I have just finished week 4, workout 3.

18 A +2 Sta

I've decided I'm moving over to the Druids for this challenge. I might stay there, but we'll see. Just looking forward to deepening my yoga practice.

Yay.. well done on your challenge.  10 pounds closer to your goal puts you at less than 10 pounds from your goal.  That is great progress, slow or not.  

 

As for strength training, I think 3 days a week is still a good goal.  You need to time to rest in between.  Just try to find some way to give your all.  Maybe you just need a new routine.  

 

I like Tarah's idea of a weekly calorie goal for you.  You may be a bit sporadic but I bet your average is sitting someplace decent.
