Adventurer and Scout Accountabilibuddies Mini Challenge

Guidelines:

-- choose 5 other rebels to work with during this challenge. Here is a spreadie to help organize your group of 3 Scouts & 3 Adventurers. Put your name and goal work on the left. Pick a column and name your group if you like. You will be helping each other with a goal or staying motivated so similar goals is often a good way to group up, but not a requirement. Once you're in a group, cross off your name on the left.

-- decide on the goal you want to use in the mini (it can be a group goal or each rebel has their own goal to work on).

-- decide on amount of feedback and questions each rebel would do per week/challenge (i.e. ask each person one question per week and keep dialogue going as it fits).

THEN... during the Challenge

-- give feedback and advice as asked for.

-- receive critical observations so your rebel group can help you find good trends you can expand upon and see weak spots that might trip you up during the challenge.

** Obviously respect is the ultimate requirement here.

-- once a week post on the mini threads in Scout and Adventurers (one report for the group posted in both places) and tell us how things are going.

-- check mini threads for suggested activities to help spur you on to greatness!

Okay, let's do this thing!!

Have a great challenge everyone!

Reward for completing the mini: +1 Charisma.

So hi all.

I'm looking for consistency in my time management. I'm also adding on the abolishment of sugar junk food in my life.

I'd be up for similar goal hunters or folks that might want to help me find ways to improve my daily to-dos.

Thanks in advance.

Hey all!

I am looking for someone to help me stay consistent and motivated with exercise. Sometimes life gets in the way and you lose motivation once you miss a time or two...

I think it would be great to have a team that helps me focus on success despite the road bumps that come up.

I think we would be a good fit as my goals are the same. I also might need some support with time management but it's also part of motivation.

Howdy :)

I like to exercise -- most of the time,  but I am really bad about being accountable for my food choices throughout the day.

example from today: I really want coffee -- because coffee is currently my religion (ritual before class or lab -- get coffee) -- go to the convenient campus starbucks and drop $6 on a mocha b/c the baristas have no idea how to actually prepare iced coffee -- (they do not know how to make a good mocha either) -- anyway, that was a poor choice for added sugar and finances

things like this, and many more examples, plague my life right now and I need to stop them -- Make a stand for good coffee or none at all!

(working on logistics for getting iced coffee while at school without going to the starbucks and without buying a thermos -- only two weeks left!)

Hello all! I could also use motivation and accountability- I've just added strength training into my regular running routine, and while I've got the running down, I may have some trouble sticking to (or making time for) the strength training.

Okay, looks like we got some folks who need some matching up. We are short some Scouts so I think we can open it up to any mix of Guilds to get to six. So hop on board somewhere that has what you want to work on. If it's full, start another group. I think free-for-all at this point is the best way to get this party started, yeah?! LOL

If you're already in a group, ask around and see if you can help/motivate the others to get signed up!

important:

***when your group is full, make an accountability thread for you all to work on during this challenge.****

I'll check in after a bit. Cheers!

Okay, everyone. Let's get the Accountabilitibuddiies threads up.

This experience will give you a lot of practice on the site and how to communicate with each other in several ways.

You will become the Masters, I will remain the Servant.

wicked paraphrase of "The Police"

             1.         Get one started for your group. If you would please start the title with A&S Mini that would be great so i can track you down easier! You can fill in the rest of the title however you please.

             2.         When you get one started - share the link in each mini thread as needed to get your teammates joined in. If more than one is made for a group, just let me know and I will delete the extras.

             3.         Make some decisions. What's the focus of your group? 1 goal, 3 goals, motivation, tracking, etc...

                  a.    How much info do you want to share? There doesn't have to be a rule here, but if you're feeling iffy about the content (TMI stuff) but want to talk about it, then use the Spoiler box so that folks know that going into that box means you have agreed to the risk. Some folks handle other people's stories just fine, some get triggered. SPECIALLY useful for the group working on awkwardness!

                  b.    How often do folks think they should post? Don't overdo it, this isn't your main challenge, but you'll want enough that the conversation stays fresh and everyone gets a chance to chat about their stuff and give responses as they can/want.

             4.        Make a short post once a week onto the mini threads (a post for week 1 is NOT required). It can be the same for both threads.

             5.         Be respectful to yourself and others.

Okay let's get this party to the next level.

Is it too late to get on with a group?  I'm hoping for a group to keep me accountable for my training

You are welcome to join my group. We are focusing on Race Training and Motivation. Just click the link I posted above and post something.
