PettyMort
I joined NF in September 2014, with a weight of 84.4kg. Since then, I went down as far as 82kg, and up as far as 89.9kg. Today I'm at 84.3kg. And I'm pretty sure my bodyfat % is way less than it was last time I was here; I am way more toned and way more capable of doing things. It feels pretty damn awesome. PettyMort
I got to 83.8kg this morning! I should stop focusing on numbers. My push ups are still crap so I'll add that as another goal for the next challenge. The problem with losing weight is that I get fewer weight watchers points to spend. However.... Sweet Potato with a slice of cheese melted into it is only 5 points and super tasty and filling! Beardy made a delicious grilled chicken pseudo parmesan last night. Herbs, pasta sauce and a slice of cheese. With steamed broccoli on the side. It was amazing. PettyMort
I think you could probably find one on craigslist, but you should be careful they're not a cannibal. Just completed workout number 46. I started on 47 but feel like it would be better to do that one tomorrow. Did my plank test, and decided it needed to be my biggest number this challenge, so I pushed myself to 90 seconds. Nnnngh. Progress report (weight and measurements yesterday - I haven't pooped yet today, but today it was exactly 84): Weight is dropping slower than I expected BUT I am gaining a lot of muscle and the measurements don't lie, even if the scale does. 2 Quote Level 1 Dwarven Ranger STR 0 | DEX 0 | CON | STA 0 | WIS 0 |CHA 0 Battlelog | NF Character Sheet Template 2.0 (stats system) | NF Character Sheet Template v3.0 (XP system) (File > Make a Copy), enter your own details, track everything in one place. PettyMort
Since this weekend is a non-hashing weekend, I decided to have a little solo hike on the hill behind our house this morning. I aimed for an hour or two of mountain-rambling, just to check it out. I wasn't particularly hungry and figured I'd be back when Beardy woke up and could cook us a nice breakfast/brunch then. Five hours, 3 parks and a lake later, hobbling down the road with blood running down my leg, I took a taxi home from the other side of the city. Two old ladies stuck their fingers up my butt (on two seperate occasions) to inform me that my shorts had ridden up and I was flashing buttcheek at the other people on the trail. One old man farted on me, twice, because he didn't know I was behind him (trying to get past on a crowded path). I stubbornly ignored two "Don't go this way" signs because clearly I know better than the main trail, lost the trail, and ended up hunting for it, giving up and scrambling through underbrush to get back onto the main path. I walked the wrong way around the lake and had to double back and go back around it. I saw a sign saying there were a couple of temples at the top of the hill, so I followed it. It was a very steep hill with a bazillion stairs but I figured it would be worth it to see some pretty temples. They were miniature replicas of temples. I did a fair bit of trail running, but each time I ran it was in the wrong direction, downhill, and I had to turn around and climb those hilly bits again. ... All in all I did about 15km (13.4 on a map of guesstimation without all the squiggles and backtracking and bushwhacking) and it was AWESOME. I think I might do it every weekend, on Saturdays, except the weekend I go up to hash in Seoul once a month. Super excited to find out that the city park (voted the best park in the country) is linked to the hiking trail on the hill behind our house with an awesome hiking bridge over a massive highway. So I can have a nice 7-8km hike any time I want, without paying for a taxi or a bus or anything. I just strap on my boots and go. It was an amazing adventure and I feel no guilt about wolfing down a box of fried chicken as soon as I got home. Next time I will remember to take water and money (the length of the walk would have been less if I hadn't decided to try to walk home when I realised I'd left my money at home and couldn't pay for a cab. When I realised it would turn about 5hrs into 10, I got a cab and told Beardy to meet me outside with cash). So, basically, everything that could have gone wrong did, and it was FABULOUS. 1 Quote Level 1 Dwarven Ranger STR 0 | DEX 0 | CON | STA 0 | WIS 0 |CHA 0 Battlelog | NF Character Sheet Template 2.0 (stats system) | NF Character Sheet Template v3.0 (XP system) (File > Make a Copy), enter your own details, track everything in one place. PettyMort
Ugh. Was all set to make some pasta for dinner, but I think the flavours would be too similar to last night, and besides, I want an epic tuna salad instead. And I left my phone at work, so that prevented me from ordering takeout because I don't feel like cooking. At least my bank card wasn't in it, so I can go buy tuna. Me dum dum.On the bright side, I got up early and hiked for 90 minutes on the hill behind our house. Less of an adventure this time. I learned my lesson. I could happily hike every (sunny) day. Think I might make that my challenge for the next 6 week thing; hiking every day unless the weather sucks. If the weather sucks, then yoga. Maybe I can build up to trail running. I already run part of the trail... I also found a cool-looking bike path through the mountains...
