TheGreyJedi-Ranger
Princess Leia in the Star Wars books- So much Jedi Her daughter Jaina is pretty awesome as well. And Mara Jade Skywalker. And Aayla Secura from the prequel movies. Polgara the Sorceress from David Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean series. One of the most feared women in her entire world. River Song is amazing and terrifying. For real people? I'd say my great grandmother first of all. She and her sister rode Harleys from Virginia to Florida at over 60 years old and a few months before she died in her 80's her house was broken into and when she was let into the hospital, one of her injuries was bruised knuckles from punching the intruders. Also pretty much every girl I've ever seen compete in American Ninja Warrior. Whether they won or not, getting there was a huge achievement! StillWaters
Serena Williams, anyone? Also, speaking of Toph, her daughters and grand daughter definitely count in The Legend of Korra. Not to mention Toph herself is well into her eighties and still kicking ass and taking names. 1 Quote Link to comment
Hratheceane
I definitely agree about Toph and any woman from Firefly, and Buffy for sure. I have much love for Hermione Granger and her actress Emma Watson. From Doctor Who, I really appreciated Donna and Rose. But when it comes to badassery, my childhood heroine was definitely Xena Warrior Princess. Her battle cry alone was badass enough!! 2 Quote Link to comment

NicTheRugger
Yes yes yes to all of these. I'm especially seconding Zoe, Xena, and Buffy. To this list, I'm also adding Gabrielle (from Xena), because she grew up into a total badass. I also have to add... MULAN. Not just the Disney character, but the real historical figure/figure of legend. According to the legends, Hua Mulan was a natural fighter, and was skilled with martial arts and weaponry. When the army came 'round recruiting men to fight in the war, Mulan enlisted in her father's (and younger brother's) place. (Some variations of the story have her as fighting her father for the right to enlist.) She goes to battle with her father's blessing and serves for twelve whole years without being discovered. She serves in the army and once the war is done, is presented to the Emperor. She is revealed as a woman and declines an offer to be a general, choosing instead to go home to her family. Whether she was real or not, such a badass. Legend found here.
