A&S Mini- Exercise and Diet

I wanted to get this topic started. Once we get everyone in the thread, can you please post your thoughts on the following.


 


A.    What's the focus of your group? 1 goal, 3 goals, motivation, tracking, etc...


B.    How much info do you want to share? There doesn't have to be a rule here, but if you're feeling iffy about the content (TMI stuff) but want to talk about it, then use the Spoiler box so that folks know that going into that box means you have agreed to the risk. Some folks handle other people's stories just fine, some get triggered. SPECIALLY useful for the group working on awkwardness!


C.    How often do folks think they should post? Don't overdo it, this isn't your main challenge, but you'll want enough that the conversation stays fresh and everyone gets a chance to chat about their stuff and give responses as they can/want.

I'm thinking motivation, mostly.  I often need a firm nudge!  But I'm open to other suggestions too!

I'm pretty comfortable with anything here.  I'll need to learn how to use the spoiler box.  What do the rest of you feel?

I agree with the motivation part. I can always use a nudge since I seem incapable of doing it myself some days.

I tend to share a lot once I get started and am comfortable with about anything.

Weekly sounds good to me.  I am normally on the site at least that much.

I mostly need the motivation.  I have my goals set, but I sometimes get sidetracked. (Oh look, a squirrel.  :playful: )

I can't think of any triggers that I would have, so I'm pretty open to whatever level of sharing everyone else is comfortable with.

I think weekly is good.

Oh, no one picked purple yet. Cool. I need motivation. I tend to start strong and then at the halfway point everything falls apart; I need long term support to help me keep going.

Sharing is caring? I tend to say whatever is on my mind, but I'm happy to put it in spoiler boxes in case of triggering things. And I'm nosy, so I like knowing all about you.

Once a day or weekly at least seems good for keeping the conversation going - touching base, making sure you're on track, getting the boost to not give up if your goals have slipped a little.

PINK! I'm taking PINK!


Alright. As for goals for accountabilibuddies, I think motivation and support are key. Crisis management! In past challenges I've been in accountabilibuddies groups who didn't even bother checking anyone's challenge threads. Check the forums, give support, and let everyone know that they actually have someone paying attention to their challenge and they're not alone.


Also, if any of our goals match all-around, then we could do a group goal.

I don't mind sharing anything. Salambander can attest to this. I would be fine using a spoiler box if we would like to write out parameters of what is or is not acceptable, as long as someone can tell me how to go about doing that. I'm internet-stupid.

I think we could post once or twice a week and be fine with it. Or, if you're having a particularly bad day or week, go ahead and post.

How did everyone do over the last week?

 

I'm calling my week a win, though I do need to curb the drinking on the weekend. Too hungover to move today.

 

Also developing shin splints, so I'm toning down some of the workouts this week and probably skipping a couple runs.

Over all it was a win but this weekend I slipped up with my diet. Back on track tomorrow.

I have done well for the last week.  It was helpful that I learned in my last challenge that planning meals and pre cooking everything I could was important for me to stay on track.

I have enjoyed getting to see what everyone else is doing for their challenge.  Having the other members means that I feel guilty if I don't post, so even when I am tired and don't feel like dealing with it, I still try to post at least once a week.  In the past, one of my problems is that I stop posting at about week 3 and then I disappear from the challenge.  This has helped me stay on track.
