So how many miles and how often do you usually ride during a week?

Me... I just bought a used bike for $40 bucks.

What kind of bike did you get? I think they are pretty fun. Only recently started biking a lot. Went from riding my brother's old 49cm fixed gear with only a rear brake to a full on 9 speed endurance road bike with a double in the front. Single speed is way more fun and simple but I feel like I can fly with the other gears.

I ride every day, but most of my rides are pretty short. Something like 50-75 miles a week maybe. Almost all just riding to school, food, or friend's places. Currently I am working on sprints, so I can get used to going fast as well as build up a little power. Longer rides eat up a lot of time for me, so I would like to try to speed down hills.

  I suppose I should fill you in.

 

Faster

Get faster.

Current top speed: 32.6mph for 8 seconds (4/26, <1%uphill, crosswind)

Top goal: 35mph on a flat or uphill for 12 seconds

 

Eat

Eat.

Current: 2-3x a day

Top goal: eat at least 4 times a day and/or 2600 calories a day

 

Ungunk

Stretch/mobilize.

Current: once every other day or so for 30 minutes

Top goal: every day for at least 20 minutes a day

 

Sleep

Sleep.

Current: 2-6 hours a night

Top goal: 8+ hours a night

 

As if I can strava, even.

Oh I just got a KMart special. Something to get me out there at least. When I decide what kind of riding I truly enjoy, I'll invest.

 

How's the food going? I was surprised at first to see the calorie intake, but I reckon you are bulking up.

Tell me you're getting mobilized then at least one of us is doing it. LOL

 

Tell us like it is. How are you doing going into weekend number three?

Did Strava calculate power for you or does is synch with a power tap? It seems like an interesting variable to track.

It calculates it for me but it can sync with a power meter. I don't really care for it since I'm still pretty new to cycling. Strava's guesstimation at power is pretty crappy. Power becomes really important when you pair it with heart rate and non-ideal conditions like wind or hills though.

Hey, Can you explain what you did accomplish this challenge? I see what you wanted for max and where you started, but what happened between those times, besides the eating that you didn't approve of?

I would love to see where your energy went toward during the challenge. No pressure of course.
