Quite a few of my friends did the 30 before 30 challenge this year, but I didn't pick up on it until quite close to my birthday.... so I'm going to go the extra mile and give myself a 40 before 40 list!  I have ten whole years to tackle these.

Have visited at least 40 countries (24/40)

Live abroad for 1 year

Climb Mt Fuji

Visit Hokkaido and Shikoku

Ride the Trans-Siberian railway

Ride the Orient Express

Eat Balut

Trek to Kathmandu

 

 

 

Education/Career:

Earn a Master’s Degree

Earn another guide license

Start learning a third language

Work in Africa

Finish & publish a novel

 

 

Health & Fitness:

Run a Marathon

Take ballroom dance lessons

Attend a meditation seminar

Go one year with no ED relapses

Get a full food allergy panel done

Be capable of passing the army fitness test

Take an aerials class

Take a Tai Chi class

 

 

Experiences:

Enroll in a Taiko drumming class

Live in New York

Go hang-gliding

Go sky-diving

See a horse race live

Get a tattoo

Ride a zip-line

 

 

Skills:

Sew a dress

Get recertified and go scuba-diving again

Learn to drive stick shift

Knit a scarf

Paint a painting

Make some type of alcohol at home (umeshu, mead, etc)
