Easy chicken recipe

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a fairly quick and easy recipe for chicken breasts that will go good on top of a salad. Any suggestions? I have never cooked chicken before, so I don't know if that helps or hurts.

Thanks!

Grilled is my favorite as well. Thank you for the links, I found the stir-fry one before but I didn't know how good that would be on a salad. I'll have to give them all a try though.

Also sorry for the misleading topic title, I should have said I was looking for an easy recipe... Sorry! :flustered:

I'm going to be the odd (wo)man out and say that I pan fry mine- with no breading and a little bit of olive oil (if there's extra it's removed at the end). I'll usually add different spices- garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and either crushed red pepper or the Italian spice mixture. Sometimes I'll cook small onion pieces with it and eat them together. I tend to cut it up before cooking, which helps it cook faster, and that might help it on a salad too!

THIS! Since I don't own a grill (apartment wont let me have one) I just chop up my chicken breasts throw some salt, pepper and other spices and throw it into a pan with some olive oil or basting oil in it. super easy and quick!

I dont use any other method unless I am making something specific such as chicken cutlet curry (Coccos ichibanya style if anyone has been to Japan-land) or fajitas or a stir fry.

Same!  Except that partway through cooking I add lemon juice for some extra pizzaz. I don't have the patience for baking (and I don't have a grill).

You should invest in a George Foreman Grill. They are one of the greatest things ever invented. Same results as a conventional grill, with out all the hassle. My roommates have one, and I use it all the time. I love it.

I actually have one of those, but I tend to use it for my turkey burgers and forget about it otherwise. I've also yet to find a grilled chicken recipe that I'm a fan of :/

I have started just marinating chicken in a salad dressing for a few days then grilling it. I use a mango chipotle vinegeret, and it is tasty. Goes great on salad too.

I'll have to start looking into that! I'm not a dressing person, but as a marinade it could be excellent. Thank you!

I use a 1 cal spray maybe 5 times covering the pan, so minimal oil, and just cut and fry my chicken, add anything else into the pan as and when
