Sunday 7/5

Total: 16,780

Bench 20x45,10x135,225,2x5x275,2x5x315,1x315
Deadlift 10x135,225,3x315,1x365,3x1x385
Lytpw 5,10,15

Hamstrings are definitely one of my weak points....well just the whole deadlift thing.  Taking it a little easy today.  Right wrist is a bit achy, so stayed away from the heavy bench.  Really worked on keeping the shoulders rotated and tight.

Weekly total: 134,132#

It's possible that not everyone would consider multiple lifts of 315 "staying away from the heavy bench."  But good job adjusting to what your body needed.

Monday, July 6th....week 5 is upon us

Total: 18,300#

Front squat 10x45,1x10x135,5x185,225,3x275,5x3x295
Over head press 20x45,4x10x135
Band pull aparts
Curl press 10x25,30,40,50

Goal was 110,000 per week

Across the 6 weeks so far (2 weeks before the challenge) I've averaged 108,652# per week.  That's getting pretty close, and includes one week of around 80,000# or so.  I'm getting to the gym regularly and getting good solid workouts in...Now to bump it up just a touch for the home stretch, then ease down toward the competition on 7/28.

Oh, as I was doing the first set of the 325# bench, this woman comes over and starts to spot me by helping me rack the bar.  She weighs maybe 140#.  Comes over as in steps into the rack on about the 2nd rep....  I just see hands reach out to grab the bar...   I yelled "No!", then apologized later.   The reps were grindy, but not that bad....

I hate when people do that. Do not interrupt someone mid set or rep.  Just. Don't.

You are going to tear up your prs at comp!

Yeah you are! Awesome Summer Swole lifts!

Are you on like 6 days/week right now? So much weighttt.

My goal is 6 days a week of lifting.  I'm happy with 4 or more.  I've had 2 weeks in a row of 6 days...

How is your body handling the workload?   That's A LOT of lifting!

Fine.  I'm pretty used to it.   However, some days...it's sleep in.  My 5 AM wakeup became 8 AM and no gym. And I feel much better.

Yes but. ...I'd you weren't up until 2am, 5 am would not feel so bad!

Someone told me years ago that to get up early you had to go to bed early. Wise man. Sleep is necessary!

Friday afternoon 7/10/2015.  Took my own advice and slept in 2 days in a row.  Feel much better.

Total: 36,825#

At a new to me Anytime Fitness in Lake Placid, FL, waiting for a friend

Jump rope 50,50,50,50,50
Bench press 20x45,135,10x225,5x275,315,325,4x325,1x325,3x10x225
Kroc row 10x80,90,5x10x100
Bulgarian split squat 3x10x50

This gym had very padded benches.  It was just not safe to do the heavy bench press.   Couldn't get a solid base to work from.

Hadn't done the split squats in a loooong time.  25# plate in each hand, one foot on the bench, 10 each leg.  Very wobbly at first until my brain started communicating better with the balance muscles.

Sort of an unplanned hiatus for a few days (3 days out of the gym!!!  in a row!!).

Sunday ended up being a sort and organize and talk about our life type of thing with Christartist.  All good.

As part of that, I finally stopped diet mountain dew again (never got to a store to get any, so why not keep going).  which meant that Monday, I pretty much wanted to crawl in a hole.   Dew withdrawal leaves me grumpy, depressed, irritable and sleepy.  Other than that..not too bad.

Tuesday I was still feeling the affects.  Actually went "out to the gym"...but never made it.  I feel better now.

Wednesday.. Heavy bench day!!

Total: 21,725

Bike 5 min
Bench 20x45,135,10x225,5x275,315,3x5x325
Lytpw 5,10,15
Bulgarian split squat 50# , 3x10
One legged Deadlift 2x5x25

I was going to deadlift, but people kept using the other station.  I'll do it tonight in Alpharetta, GA.

i know you're just coming back to those BSSs but i gotta say, it makes me feel pretty BA - because YOU are supremely BA - that we're doing the same weight/reps right now on those. even if they are low weight accessories for you ;) i pretty much just die at the end of mine and forget walking.

Thats about what I looked like when I tried them for the first time in a long time last week.  I used 25# plates once so I could balance on the floor.  It was like my brain forgot how to tell the balance muscles how to work.  Looked like I was drunk....  And thanks for all the BA's....
