MAIN QUEST: Lose Weight Feel Great!


To hit my goal range of 125-135 and do it in a healthy way!

Goals (diet and fitness related) that will help me achieve Main Quest:

 

1. 21 Day Fix eating plan - Make sure I am eating ALL my calories, because I haven't been and it's slowing down my weight loss!

A: 36-42 days
B: 30-35 days
C: 25-29 days
D: 20-25 days
F: <20 days
Ability to earn 1 CON point.

2. BeachBody Workouts - a different 30 minute workout each day, with one rest day a week (which I will count). I can substitute running or a weight lifting workout at the gym, just as long as I am working out for 30 minutes each day! 
A: 36-42 days
B: 30-35 days
C: 25-29 days
D: 20-25 days
F: <20 days
Ability to earn 3 STA, 3 STR points, 3 DEX points.

3. C25K - Since I am not working right now, I am not walking near as much, but I am doing a C25K, so I'm changing this!
A: 16-18 days
B: 13-15 days
C: 10-12 days
D: 6-9 days
F: <6 days
Ability to earn 2 STA point.

Side Quest 1: Work my business
I want to replace my income, so I really need to work my side business hard!

I also want to help as many people as possible along the way!    :)

I'm really going to try hard to keep up this time! I always have such good intentions lol So... yesterday our power went out for SEVEN HOURS! There was a big storm and lighting struck the ground and made a big hole... right where the power lines were spliced underground! The crew worked hard through the rain and the power finally came back on at 11:15 last night! So, we had Taco Bell. YUCK! But it is what it is! 

 

I did week 1, day 3 of C25K yesterday morning and then I did Pilates later. My eating has been on point, except for Taco Bell, but I got steak nachos and I counted my 21 Day Fix containers, and I didn't go over by much! I also still lost weight this morning, so I'm happy about that! 

 

Um, on June 21st, I leave for Florida. Lost story, but out youth group needed one more female leader to go, and they said it would all be paid for, so I accepted. We are driving from Kansas City, MO to Orlando. We will be stopped in Atlanta to spend the night on a church floor, then we are staying at the Orlando World Center Marriott!! I am super excited!! I think we are also going to Disney, which X and I have never been to! We will be driving to Nashville on the 28th to sleep on another church floor, then back home on the 29th! I have already staked out the fitness center as well as the running trail at the hotel. My intention is to continue working out while I am there... but we all know how vacations go, so I will do the best I can!

This is my first challenge with thw adventurers. I can tell you and I are going to be friends! Similar goals, similar ways of tracking stats. I love the way you structured your rewards. I had done something similar but only by waist size and then never accomplished any of them. I think I may borrow that.

I had done something similar but only by waist size and then never accomplished any of them. I think I may borrow that.

Hey Scout, you got this! Oh and it looks like you will be driving right through my neck of the woods :)   I'm right between Nashville and Chattanooga on I-24.

 

Awesome!! If it was just me and my family driving, I'd say let's meet up!! But a church van full of youth probably won't be on board! ;)

 

Ok!! Day one!! How does everyone feel!? I am actually feeling great! The rain is gone for a bit! My friend and I were not able to do C25K outside on the track today, because it's official: they are working on the track this summer!! BOO!! Soooo... she went with me to the Y and signed her family up!! So, we did C25K inside today and have plans all week for either running or group classes!! Yay!! I'm so excited to have someone who wants to do group classes with me!! :)

 

Schedule for this week:

Monday: C25K, HABIT tonight (Hips, Abs, Buns, Inner Thighs)

Tuesday: Zumba in the morning, my friend has bellydancing in the evening, so I will probably work out with hubs in the evening

Wednesday: C25K in the morning, Body Pump in the evening

Thursday: Strength training class in the morning, Zumba in the evening

Friday: C25K

 

As for the weekend, I am not sure yet, probably go for a run/walk out at the state park or the fitness trail. 

We would be doing C25K at those places, but she has 3 little girls who wouldn't be able to keep up!

BOOM!! Did the HABIT class today! It was tough, but I need it!! Also did C25K! I was worried since this is week 2 and the runs go up to 90 seconds with 2 minute walks... I was FINE! Seriously, I was worried for nothing! I mean, I was a little winded towards the end, but I was really surprised with myself! :)

 

I also realized today that I have lost 27 pounds. That's nothing to take lightly... now I just need to keep working harder!!

Did Zumba this morning. Loved it! It's fun but hard!! Dripping sweat, which is good! Came home and ate brunch and am now doing laundry.  I live such a glamorous life! ;)

Haha! I love Zumba!! So, let me see... yesterday morning I did C25K, 90 second runs, I am DREADING next week with 3 minute runs!! ACK!! Then I had Fit Club last night and we did the new ShaunT dance program called CIZE. He breaks down an entire dance routine and you learn it as you go. This one was 45 minutes and I was dripping sweat! The program isn't for sale yet, but if anyone is interested in trying it for free, let me know! It's way too much fun! A lot like Zumba!

 

This morning I went back to the gym and did a strength training class. It was HARD! But so good! I probably picked weights that were a bit too heavy, because my shoulders were so sore, but I think that's probably good! Also, we used those bands you put around your thighs... and my band snapped! The trainer just said, the bands are old and worn out, go grab another one. I was embarrassed lol but I am so glad the second band didn't break, I would have died from humiliation!! After the workout I went and sat in the hot tub, because damn it, I earned it!! LOL 

 

Came home and had some oatmeal with banana and yogurt and chocolate Shakeology with almond milk. My eating schedule is all jacked up because I don't want to eat before I go work out, because I would rather not puke!! So, I wait until I get back from the gym, but that puts me eating breakfast around 11:00-11:30... then I don't eat lunch until around 3... when the hell am I supposed to eat dinner!? I did grab a Luna bar before I went to the gym this morning, since class was at 9:45, I didn't think I would make it. 

 

I have Zumba again tonight! Woot! I am loving this working out twice a day! And I am so glad I have a friend to do classes with!

I am down to 191.6 lbs. I wish the pounds would drop quicker! I know, I am building muscle, blah blah blah, but I am 5'2" tall... 191.6 is not a good weight for me! Fucking drop weight already!! :)

UGH!! So much for having a friend to work out with the rest of the week! Her husband came home today and said let's go to see your family, so instead of leaving tomorrow after running, she is leaving today before Zumba! BLAH! Oh well, I am just going to have to go by myself, because I won't let someone else's excuses be MY excuses!!

I did NOT go to Zumba last night... no because I didn't want to, but I am selling a motorcycle helmet and this woman wanted to come look at it, and she wanted to come at 6:30 pm which meant I could not make it to Zumba and back in time... then at the last minute she cancelled and decided she didn't want to look at the helmet! WTF? So, I just vegged and watched a movie instead. 

 

I did get up early and go to the gym to run, so did Week 2, Day 3 of C25K. I didn't have a running partner, and I did it anyway. I think that counts for something lol Then I did 80 squats (I am in a 7 day squat challenge on FB) and stretched, went grocery shopping and am now home. I have no motivation to do anything, so all I have done so far is take out the bathroom trash. My apartment is a wreck. I need to get some motivation to clean it!!

Pretty much did nothing yesterday after I got home. We went shopping last night for groceries and hubs father's day gift, which was a fishing pole, and I got us all fishing licenses today. We also needed to get some air mattresses for our Sturgis trip, and so I could take one on the youth Florida trip, since part of the time we will be sleeping on church floors. And there went all our money... lol not really, but we have to pay $600 to the place doing our credit repair this week, so we are again so short on funds! I am so tired of being BROKE!! Hubs has a great job and we should be doing fine with money, but then things like that come up, or we have to pay for something for one of the boys in college, and we can't ever seem to make ends meet. I am paying the bills on time or ahead of time, which is good... but now I have like $24 in the bank to last 2 weeks. We do have a little in savings, but only like $130, and I would rather not touch it. Not really sure how we are doing this Sturgis trip, but I am sure it will work itself out! I am also starting to declutter, which means I have things I am selling, so every little bit helps there too!

 

Why can't I just be independently wealthy!? ;)

 

I am taking the boys to the pool today. (I am using every penny of that YMCA membership! LOL) And then I will be doing meal prep for the week, which basically means I will be making mason jar salads... We bought avocados, but forgot to buy the rest of the stuff for guac. DUMB!! 

 

I will probably do the resistance walk in the pool today and count it as my workout.

I overdosed HARD on Taco Bell a while back. Haven't been able to go back ever.  My ex and I tried their breakfast.... all of their breakfast.  Back when the waffle taco, country crunch wrap supreme, etc. Like 6 or 7 things.  Trust me, if you never want Taco Bell again and want to severely punish your guts - wipe the Taco Bell breakfast menu.  About 30 minutes later when you feel like you're going to die, you know you won't have it again.

Haha!! I don't care for Taco Bell much so it's not a big deal to me to give it up... but it's cheap when your power is out and you can't cook! ;)

 

Let's see... Friday I did go to the pool and did 10 laps in the resistance pool! 

 

Today I got up early and went to Body Pump, and then did C25K right after! OUCH! lol But I did it! It was my first Body Pump class so I stuck with light weights, and still felt it! I am on week 3 of C25K! I don't think I have ever gotten to week 3... I am not sure I have ever made it past week 1!!! Week 3 is a 90 second run, 90 second walk, 3 minute run, 3 minute walk, repeat! And I ran the entire 3 minutes without stopping or dying!! I feel really good about this! :)

 

Tonight X is supposed to have 2 baseball games as long as they don't get rained out. Which is why I did Body Pump this morning, instead of HABIT this afternoon. I'm glad I did! I need to do measurements soon... I have a pair of goal jeans I want to get into before we go to Sturgis. They are size 11 and so freaking cute! Kind of skinny, cuffed at the bottoms and "destroyed" with little wholes and shreds! Love them! I can't wait to get into them!!

 

Eating has been fine, except for scrap club yesterday! I leave for Florida on Sunday for the youth conference. The gal that was going (the youth pastors EX) is talking shit about me behind my back... saying I shouldn't get to go, blah blah blah... there is no reason I shouldn't get to go! I did fundraising, my son is going... I just wish she would talk to me instead of talking to my friends about it. lol

My husband has been off for the last 4 days so I have pretty much accomplished NOTHING!! lol Not really, I mean, I have worked out, but I haven't cleaned my apartment all week and X and I are leaving for Florida on Sunday morning for 9 days!! UGH! tomorrow I have to do all the laundry and pack and make cookies/snacks for the trip! Plus, my oldest son and his girlfriend are coming up! It will be great to see them, but I need more time!!

 

Tuesday: Zumba

Wednesday: PIYO and C25K

Thursday: Nothing - we went fishing all day! lol 

Friday: C25K

Saturday: I am sure I will be doing nothing but laundry!!

I came across your thread while searching for others doing the 21 Day Fix.  I just ordered my pack (a Beachbody enthusiast friend convinced me to give that and Shakeology a try).  It looks like you've had some success with it!  I'm looking forward to starting when it arrives.  I hope the challenge continues to go well for you!

We had an amazing trip!!! I will try to post all about it when I get some time! 

 

I came across your thread while searching for others doing the 21 Day Fix.  I just ordered my pack (a Beachbody enthusiast friend convinced me to give that and Shakeology a try).  It looks like you've had some success with it!  I'm looking forward to starting when it arrives.  I hope the challenge continues to go well for you!  

 

I love the 21 Day Fix! It really helps so much with portion control!! And Shakeology really helps keep my cravings under control! On my 9 day trip to Florida and back (from Kansas City) I didn't gain ANY weight!! We ate out every day for lunch and dinner. I took Shakeology and had it for breakfast! I also kept up with my running and ran 3 days in Florida! I am so proud of myself for doing that!! Now that I am home, I am getting back to the grind lol 

 

I hate coming home from vacation... it just puts me in a huge funk! :( But I did get back to working out, so far this week I have done strength training and ran twice. I will run my last time for the week tomorrow morning. I am up to 8 minute runs at a time without walking, but tomorrow C25K puts a huge wrench in my plans and is asking me to do a 20 minute run without stopping!! WHAT THE WHAT!?? How can it go from 8 minutes to 20 minutes in the same week!?

 

I am removing my Florida week from my workout tracking, because I don't think that would be fair to myself! I walked a TON, so that helped... one day I walked over 20,000 steps! Almost 10 miles!!

I can't seem to make myself get here and log stuff!! I have been making jewelry, working out, running, etc. 

 

Monday: Pilates and C25K

Tuesday: Zumba

Wednesday: Body Pump and C25K

Today: we took a rest day! 

Tomorrow: Long run on C25K - 22 minutes straight

Saturday: we might go do Zumba and might do some strength after...

 

I am already looking forward to the next 6 week challenge... I think I am going to work on handlettering, which is something I have been wanting to learn for a long time! I will be doing Couch to 10K after C25K! I am thinking of doing Dave Ramsey's program to get finances on track.

Have you heard of YNAB? Its a budget program with some similar prinicpals to DR but not as strict and limiting in terms of getting on track. I love the software and highly recommend it for anyone looking to get thwir budget on track.

 

Yep, I had the software a few years ago and didn't use it lol I'm listening to the audio for DR while I am running and I am loving it so far. The thing is, I KNOW what I need to do, I just need a push, I guess. lol And to be brutally honest, I won't be saving any money until after our trip to Sturgis in August. After that I have grand plans! ;)

Ok, well, I guess that's it then... 

 

1. 21 Day Fix eating plan - Make sure I am eating ALL my calories, because I haven't been and it's slowing down my weight loss!

B: 30-35 days
Ability to earn 1 CON point. I am giving myself 1 CON point for this, I think I did a pretty great job!

 

2. BeachBody Workouts - a different 30 minute workout each day, with one rest day a week (which I will count). I can substitute running or a weight lifting workout at the gym, just as long as I am working out for 30 minutes each day!
Changed this to compensate for vacation. 
C: 22-25 days
Ability to earn 3 STA, 3 STR points, 3 DEX points. I am going to go with 1.5 on each.

 

3. C25K - Since I am not working right now, I am not walking near as much, but I am doing a C25K, so I'm changing this!
A: 16-18 days
Ability to earn 2 STA point. Did it!! 2 STA!
