Hello all :)

A good place to start would be the introduction section... I went on the chat about a week ago under a different username I believe, saying it was about time I joined the NF forum after following the site for some time. Actually posting got postponed since I had to turn in an assignment today... I stubbornly did get some sleep in despite the pressure and turned it in and had a day and here I am now, rambling away. ^_^

I'm about 160 cm which is 5'2" about, and fluctuating around 60 kg. A few months ago I got down to 54 kg and still didn't look and feel as good as when I had managed to train and eat well and hydrate well and just enjoying it and weighed 58 kg about.

Buuut as it goes I had a rough patch after that and after the momentum wore off, I went back to just being my slightly squishy self. Which is cool but I miss the light feeling I had then. I know I am capable of it.

.... When I give up on it and just enjoy the process apparently, lol. Can't believe just HOW much the psychological side plays a role in how my body works. But it seems that that's a human thing. Meditation for the win!

I just want to feel energized right now and get 'in tune with myself' and stay there. Like water :P

I am always hesitant with tracking calories because the sites and I've tried almost never have the products I want to put in & I always have to think really hard about what a serving is and stuff lol.

Though I do always find it useful for reality checks, to see how easily you can hit the 1800 kcal mark. Makes me aware of how you should choose WHAT you put in your body well.

Today I remembered something I'd forgotten - the thumb rule of not eating more than two fists of food per meal? (Approximate about what size leafy greens etc. would be crunched)

When I felt best, I did body weight exercises mostly and light yoga on off days and lots of stretching. Now I think I want to do it differently with strength yoga instead 3 days and 1 or two off days doing endurancey things - found a 50 minute yoga instructional video with Tara Stiles and it's pretty awesome. I hadn't expected to feel so good afterwards.

Okay I think that's enough of a half introduction half brainstorming post.

TL;DR - Time to get some accountability for my plans.

Hi :) I'm doing good you? I was a bit shy and did write out a challenge by the 8th of June but have been taking the steps offline since it was hectic these past 2 weeks and I assumed I wouldn't manage to do anything remotely to all of the simple goals even. Not the best attitude to joing a challenge with and in a way 'asking' people to keep you accountable I found :)

I'll have questions no doubt! Thanks for the offer

I am fine thank you. Just a bit sick, but recovering quite well. 

 

Well you can still join the challenge. Just calculate till you match your starting date. So how about you start next Monday and you have a 4 week challenge.

Ah good to hear.

And yeah I think I'll do that. I just wanted to warm up on my own without showing the world what a mess I can be when I have to work on multiple deadlines haha!

And just writing on here will be plenty motivation at first I think but that's awesome! You're new too?

Well, you got to fall to get up. Or something like that. Or make a huge mistake to become better. <insert cheesy stuff here>

 

I am sorta new. I have been in sports all my life. But I did something stupid. And things went down hill. Back in 2014 I decided to start battling everything. But I started being active on the forums just a few weeks a go. :D

Hahaha I hear ya at the cheesy stuff. It's how life goes. I am very good at learning from other people's mistakes [emoji14] but there's nothing like making your very own.

Nice. The struggle is everpresent :D I wish you the best of luck.

Let's do our best* and then some more☺

*'best' may or may not sometimes mean just meditating, getting into bed (REALLY/TOO) early and recovering to kick ass the following day. Which is what I'll be doing now ;D

Thus you did a job well done recovering instead of having dragging sickness on like a lot of people do [emoji14] Everything in moderation.

And I'll probably do it tonight, have some compulsory reading to do and that does not make me happy when it's June :) but the end of the battle (though not the war) is in sight!

Hehe some things just suck but there's usually something good and useful to most things.

And yeah got that right. Eye movement, wisdom, patience, ... The list goes on. Veni vidi vici, one page at a time. Or so I tell myself lol

I like tax law. It saved me a lot of times :P I know the basics though. Everything else I'll let the specialists handle :D

Haha I hear ya. I mean, any law area at all and any I'd like to specialise in will require some knowledge of tax law and how to find the information you need...

Now now don't get all Starbucks on me lol. I wish I was! But my interests lie elsewhere. Probably because your brain needs to be on the economics wavelength haha.

I find it interesting as a subject and very enlightening about the why what and how of the market but I can't seem to distill the principles too easily...
