I hope to be updating this on a recent base. So today: Food:breakfast: oatmeal berry smoothiesnack: 1 cup of raw vedgies (carrots & bell pepper)lunch: vegie (paksoi, bean sprouts, mushrooms) stirr fry with soysauce for flavour, leftover sausage and half a cup of brown rice snack: 125gr of blueberries snack before workout: 1 rice biscuit with pbdinner: poached salmon with asparagus "Ã la flamande" (cooked eggs with herbs in butter. BeaVer Posted June 24, 2015 Author Report Share Posted June 24, 2015 This morning my muscles weren't feeling so soar after my workout yesterday… until…after 1,5 hours behind my desk at work i got up and oh my the stiffness So yesterday it seemed like I ate too much fat so I did my best not to have the same results today.I'm also having a bit trouble with protein intake and today I've been doing some research for protein rich food and I found some snacks I can eat instead of just veggies or fruit. Normally I have greek yoghurt for breakfast, but since I'm out I've already put it on my grocery list Today's food:Breakfast: oatmeal berry smoothie. Instead of using water I used milkSnack: 1 bellpepperLunch: steamed salmon, asparagus and snack tomatoes Snack: 125gr blueberriesDinner: Some cooked mixed veggies and bunnyrabbit meat (I used no fat to bake the meat or cook the vedgies)Snack: apple slices with pb Fluids:2 cups of tea8 glasses of water1 glass of soda (it was a treat and it was the last bit in the bottle ) Exercise: 4,5km walk on an average pace Today I should've eaten a bit more, but it's sometimes difficult to eat more because the food fills me up pretty good and I simply can't eat more. My legs were very soar today, I could hardly do steps… I almost decided I'd better go for a walk, but things got a little better and I did the workout anyway. Lunges were the most difficult and I only did 10 per set. To compensate, i did a 30 second plank in my second set.I'm actually very pleased with myself, because normally, the soarness is an excuse for me to give up Food today:Breakfast: A multigrain tortilla wrap with homemade guacamole, smoked salmon and eggsSnack: WatermelonLunch: Bunnyrabbit meat and lots of veggiesSnack: appleslices with pbDiner: Tortilla "pizza" with taco filling, mushrooms and an egg sunny side up. fluids, 8-9 glasses of water, 2 cups of tea Tomorrow and this weekend there won't be any specific exercise, but i'm not going to sit on my lazy arse I'm also going out for lunch with the colleagues tomorrow and saturday with the bf, so I will have to be extra picky again with what i'm going to eat.I'm probably not going to update this weekend, we'll see…Weekends are always the worst when it comes to food, too many carbs, too much fat, not enough protein and over all too many calories. BeaVer Posted June 29, 2015 Author Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 I did bad… very bad… Someone please give me a slap in the face! last goals:- Make good lunch choices for tomorrow and saturday check!- Not too much carbs meh - max 1 alcoholic drink per day (fri, sat, sun) meh My first goal wasn't that hard. I think I did quite well on friday: grilled shrimp with a side salad and a small portion of mashed potatoes. Saturday was more of a brunch than lunch, so i didn't do so bad either. Toast with mushrooms, apples, bacon and brie with a salad on the side. Today no muscle pain at all, so when I'm going to do the bodyweight workout again thursday, I going to do my very best to do 3 sets this time. It was way too hot to go for a walk, I made some iced tea instead And the wife of one of my colleagues brought ice cream and i had one of those (a snickers icecream bar, one of my favs). I did it the complete beginner bodyweight workout, 3 complete sets! and a 30sec plank.I'm quite happy for myself, since I was a bit lazy yesterday. Food today:Breakfast: a very refreshing cold mangosmoothie with oats, milk, greek yoghurt and a bit of lime juiceLunch: Quinoa with tomato, cucumber, green onions and fetaSnack: an appleDinner: Carpaccio Drinks:not enough water, only 2 glasses or so. I had 3 glasses of my homemade ice tea and 1 glass of soda. I had better portion control but I should've drank a bit less.But I had a very lovely weekend and that's also important. I'm not losing any weight, but i'm also not gaining. Also I believe my legs are getting firmer. I also didn't go for that walk, because I went for groceries instead At least my fridge is full again Bought lots of bacon, hell yeah! Today I ate:Breakfast: a kiwi smoothie with mint which i didn't enjoy, because somehow I put too much mint in it and the whole thing got a bit bitter in the blender, eugh… I'll have to tweak that.Lunch: a salad with some veggies and half an avocado, 1 whole boiled egg and one egg white.Snack: an appleDinner: Veggies, potatoes and bunny rabbit. It's how i keep things fun I guess (the food pictures) Not eating enough is this very bad habit i developed when i was too focused on losing weight and the thought that "if I eat too much I will gain weight!". And now it has the result that I'm sometimes just not hungry enough to eat more. My walk was a bit rough though. Weather was not so good and the only flat shoes i have that are comfortable enough for walking are my sandals and I didn't wear them because of the weather. So i wore my everyday shoes instead… my sneaker wedges… I do waitressing wearing them, so if I can wear those for that I can also wear them for a 4.6km walk. One word… COBBLESTONES! A lot of 'em! My walk was fine, but it was a bit rough, trying not to break my ankles Luckily I did much better in the kitchen Today I ate:Breakfast: Greek yoghurt with raspberries, flax seeds, chia seed and quinoa puffsSnack: A boiled eggLunch: Boiled potatoes, veggies, bunny rabbitSnack: A yellow submar… euhm… i mean nectarineSnack: 2 pieces of mozzarella with some prociutto wrapped around itDinner: Salad with gray shrimps, smoked trout, tomato, cucumber, carrots I drank 2 cups of tea and lots of fluids. Alsoooo… I've lost 700 (1.5lbs) grams since the beginning of the week. its the first weight loss in weeks! I had no alcohol the entire weekend, apart from the 2 gin tonics I had at my friend's, so I call that a win. But I pushed trough, did my workout and improved my plank from 30 to 40 seconds. yaaay! And I also started steaming my fish. Makes a huge difference. As for today… I just got home… its 10pm and I haven't had any dinner so I'm very sorry to inform you guys that I have no food pictures today.I barely reached 1100kcals today:Breakfast: Greek yoghurt with raspberries, chiaseed and flaxseedNo snack, I had a meeting.Lunch: leftover dinner and watermelon for dessert Snack: Mozzarella with prusciutto I had 2 cups of tea, lots of water and 1 glass of wine. Tomorrow is the last day before my vacation and we are going out for lunch with the colleagues. We're going to eat burgers at this gourmet burger thing. They also offer a "no bun" option, so I'll see what i'm in the mood for After that we are going for a bike ride, do some sight seeing I guess The bike is the reason why I'm home so late. I had to get one at my parents house and the tires were flat. I'm on holiday now so there will be less posting and probably (and yes, I should be ashamed) less healthy posts. Last friday I went cycling with the colleagues and I biked about 20km. Enough to "compensate" for the good food and the drinks we had along the way…I know, I know, it doesn't work that way After that I drove to my bf and we had oh so delicious sushi. Saturday was a very lazy day. I had some crackers with homemade crab salad and we had pork and quinoa salad for dinner. No idea if I ate anything else… cant really remember. Also had 2 gin tonics. Sunday was carb day… I had 2 breakfast pastries for breakfast, bread for lunch and very delicious homemade chicken wings with again… bread. Monday we had a bit of moving to do. My bf moved in with me and now my hallway looks like it belongs to a hoarder… I'm serious, how many junk can someone have! I had enough exercise from cleaning his place.Foodwise was not so good. I started well with bacon and eggs wrapped in a tortilla, but since we were not home, we made a few unhealthy choices. I had raspberries and mellow cakes for lunch (mmmmmm, mellow cakes) and we had 2 bags of oven bake chips and a bottle of prosecco for dinner. The good thing is I didn't gain any weight the past days, but I'm not going to keep up with all this unhealthy food. I can't handle it So I'm going to leave those unhealthy days behind me and start well again today.
