I had never done any mechanical work before but didn't have the money to take it to a shop so it was a learning experience. Super satisfying to take care of it myself and probably saved myself $300. This little success has given me some positive mojo towards this upcoming challenge which will be my first. Must've finally crossed a threshold. When I replaced the fusible link it allowed power to pass to the dash but not enough through the main cable to crank. At least I learned a little bit about my truck, it was a cheap fix. An embarrassing pain in the ass lesson I won't forget! Anything else need doing on it?Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using TapatalkThe AC doesn't work, no radio, washer fluid doesn't work, heater doesn't work and a tornado threw the roof of a garage onto it. rollbars saved the cab, grandpa pulled the bed back into shape with a two-truck tug of war. Slapped some olive drab flat rattle can on it and she's beautifully ugly. It's a perfect training truck to learn some basic auto work. The washer fluid would be something i might actually care enough to fix since it serves a useful purpose. That is level grinding for wisdom stats all the way. Until we get into electrical issues.
