Wildross competes and starts camp prep

Well, I'm officially in for getting to 495/405/495 after this meet.  I hadn't wanted to commit, but having met a couple other older lifters, and with the progress I've made....I just need to focus.  I'm above 85% of the way there now.  Plus one of the guys pointed out that I will be officially a masters 3 (60-69) Jan 1 of the year I turn 60.  My birthday is in December.  So I can start competing as a 60 year old when I'm 59 and 1 month (in about 3 1/2 years).  Right now, I'm already above all the records for FL in the MR2, 125+ class.  I think I can beat everything but the deadlift for the MR2, 120+ class.  Larry just set the record at 502.  So I should set some records while I'm over 125 kg, then lose weight and set a bunch more!  I may be able to own the top of the old dog charts...

That's so epic.  I was always wondering how close you were to some records being so damn strong.

Yeah, bit off in my estimations of my maxes. After the 3rd bench, one of the judges told me I was supposed to do my warmup in the back

This!  You made all of those lifts look EASY.  Congratulations on an awesome meet!   Can't wait to see you breaking records :D

Yea...did you even try? I know you hit PRs, but dude, challenge yourself a bit next time.

They all looked like warmups smh. You're a beast.

I'm naturally physically cautious for a number of reasons.  But I may be over doing it.   One thing I always think about, at my age, 6 months to recover from an injury cause I was really challenging myself is probably 9 months or maybe never.  And I don't have that many 6 months left, relatively speaking.  I'll just sign up for another meet, make sure they know I'm going for records and crush them!!

Warriors don't count reps and sets. They count tons.

Yeah, can i rent you next time I move?!

He has moved more times than I have.  I bet he is even more smart than strong and that is important in executing moves.

I"ve lost track...wait, wufkar helped me put together a list of addresses...

My list has 25 addresses since we got married in 1980.  And one more coming up.  Hopefully the last...

Edit: We're almost gypsies..  Course, we've got almost 6 years now living in RV's at various times.  Moving when your house has wheels is pretty easy.

Guess I should drop some workout logs in here.  Not going to start totalling them until next week as I'm playing around with a few different exercises and don't want to be tempted with chasing a total.

Damn. and I thought I moved a lot! Though... not anymore...

Speaking of Wufkar - how is she? How's the foot?  I feel like I haven't seen her around here lately.  I'll go stalk in a minute but figured Pops would know.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! 35 years! That's awesome!

The foot is good; no more boot.  She has a dog now (Bailey, female pit bull/mix rescue).  I don't think she has a current thread on NF.

Actually Chammy probably knows more than I do.
