Endor
****************Challenge 19**************** I got some advice from the CEO of a bank recently, it was simple in more ways than one, all he said was "simplify your life as much as possible". I realized last challenge that less is more, focus on the things that you are really interested in and tune out the rest as much as possible. I'm going to do less to achieve more. Goals:L. - Lifting - 3 times a week (PT does not count). Simplify the programming, go old skool, NF Barbell Battalion - Rank 1A.E. - Eating - NO sugar and full Paleo as much as possibleS. - Sleeping - 8 hours+S. - Sober. - Only drinking on 6 occasions during the 6 week challenge. Epic quest: The driver for all of this is lowering my body fat to a point where I can see abs. Right now I'm the lowest weight I have been since July 2013. My lowest weight ever since I've been on NF was 76.4kg and my lowest BF% was 16.7%. These numbers were both achieved when I was in the Adventurers Guild doing tons of walking and body weight/dumbbell exercises from the Rebel Fitness Guide. Walking is undoubtedly a fat loss weapon for me and I will be running the walking PvP again this challenge. That's it, no fancy gif's, no complex theme. Simples. But we are going to review some articles for inspiration.Saint is the main source of inspiration at the moment, what a transformationMonty Python and the Holy AbsProtein and TetrisLook like Ryan Reynolds I will also be getting a DEXA, probably this week. What gets measured gets improved. 3 Quote Endor, LVL 45 Half-Elf Ranger PR and Motivation Log | Current Battle Log Feb-March 2022 Challenge Link to comment

Endor
Good stuff man. I wasn't good at following threads last time, so I may have missed the answer to this question. How is your accident recovery going?Good to have you along again mate, no worries, I know you've been smashed recently. Whiplash recovery is glacial but is progressing, just very very slow. I'm still doing physio and still on painkillers but I'm beginning to come off those too. Long periods of sitting are what aggravate it and slow down the recovery......guess what I do all day?! Ha ha ha, me and Dawsy are king of the crappy dad jokes and I'm not even a dad Less equals more. This is something I've lived by for the last 3 years now! Endor
I've been completely swamped with life and work this week, struggling to keep my head above water at the moment. Barely any free time, just half an hour or so before bed to try to wind down. I'm feeling totally burnt out, to the point where I'm about to just fall down but there is still so much shit to get through I have to suck it up a bit longer. The good news is my unit has been sold, exchanged contracts at 9pm on Wednesday, the whole thing was very high pressure and stressful (we were sitting in the real estate agent's office while negotiations were going on with 2 parties offering one of whom who ended up winning were also in the office) but we got a very good price, about 100k over what we expected so all the hard work was worth it. I still have a lot to deal with getting the tenants out, doing all the paperwork, sorting out tax, discharge the mortgage, deal with the nobhead neighbor, blah blah blah. Also rushing to complete a work project before a new one starts next week and been let down badly by the customer's network engineer who has made ALOT of mistakes, screwed up a firewall, misconfigured cabling etc. It doesn't help that they made him redundant so he's only got 1 week to go either. Anyway it will get done one way or another... Gaaaaah!! I need Hermione's time travel thingy at the moment! Or maybe someone has a tardis I can get a lend of?! 1 Quote Endor, LVL 45 Half-Elf Ranger PR and Motivation Log | Current Battle Log Feb-March 2022 Challenge Link to comment

Wild Wolf
Cool, any tips from your experience along the way will be welcome Also RTCW is probably my fave online team game of all time, that was serious crack for me so dig the name too It was a schaweet team game huh?? I've always had a Wolf themed named and decided to go with Wolfenstein this time because I was absent from the boards for a while. The name symbolized me being "resurrected" back into the forms as something bigger and better than before As far as tips go, take your rest/active recovery days very seriously. I was always so amped about the workouts back in the day that my warm-ups, cool downs and active recovery days were put on the back, back burner. Play hard and rest hard! Also, when your exercising, cut out the BS. Stick with the lifts you KNOW will get you results- no need to add in crap. Same with eating- I stopped getting caught up in all the fads and diets and how many times a day to eat or when to carb load, Lada lada. It's good to do some of that if you enjoy it, but I just stuck to eating when I'm hungry and don't eating when I'm not. I stick to high fat, high protein and moderate carbs, trying to eat veggies at ALL times.I also simplified life activities and switched all my focus on my family, my training and let everything else fall into place It's more of a mindset than anything. Endor
Yesterday I drove down to move my tenants stuff out of the store room back in to the apartment, thankfully nobhead neighbor didn't make an appearance, I haven't told him I moved the stuff out, let him sweat for a while for being a prick. Deposit has come in from the buyer, even if they drop out now we get to keep $50,000 so the stress level around the sale has dropped dramatically. Seems we also got the timing perfect as yesterday the banks put the interest rates up for Investment loans which will undoubtedly cool the market. Got an AirBnB apartment in the city and did some work in the afternoon to try to catch up a bit then in the evening I went to see Blur live in concert. I booked the ticket a few months ago and glad I did because I wouldn't have gone otherwise but they were $130 so I couldn't miss it after paying that. Everyone told me they wouldn't play it but thankfully they did. "Out of time" is one of my fave ever songs and ironically exactly where I'm at right now! The concert was excellent, they played their best tunes and the whole band was in great form, one of the best gig's I've been to in a while. Went to a pub with my friends after the concert but was too pooped to enjoy it so I just went back to the room and hit the sack at midnight. Was hoping for a lie-in but the blinds in this place were crappy so the sun woke me at 6am. Dropped the top down and drove an hour and a half home in the sunshine on a beautiful Australian winter day, clear blue skies and sun shining. Wife was surprised I was home so early, had a cuppa then 6km walkies for the little fella. Such a beautiful track, enjoy! Feeling quietly optimistic about the challenge start tomorrow. I know I said no theme but well there might be a bit Quote Endor, LVL 45 Half-Elf Ranger PR and Motivation Log | Current Battle Log Feb-March 2022 Challenge Link to comment

Endor
Off to a good start, PT today: Strength:5x5 Bench @60kg5x5 Front Squats @65kg5x5 Bent over Rows 2 x 16KG KB's DL - 4x5 @60kg(?)Skullcrusher - 4x10 @ 20kg BarBicep Curls - 4x10 @ 20kg Bar (last set only 5 reps, arms were done) Metcon:Coach decided to treat me to a chipper today. How kind. Not!! 80 x AirDyne (bike) Calories80 x 30" Box Jumps80 x Rowing Calories80 x Air Squats The chipper was really punishing. Working out today confirmed to me the state of my body and mind at the moment, I was in trouble immediately with a 50kg front squat warmup feeling like 100kg. I am sooooo tired at the moment, felt very weak and low energy through the whole thing. I got it done though and actually feel better afterwards. Dirty great plate of bacon and eggs for brekky I know I'm doing less this challenge but I actually think I need to eat more so I've decided to eat more but only more protein based stuff. Extra steak on workout days stuff like that. Need to get a walk in later today with the dog, will be a good kick off for my walking PvP too. 1 Quote Endor, LVL 45 Half-Elf Ranger PR and Motivation Log | Current Battle Log Feb-March 2022 Challenge Link to comment
