Black Daiquiri

::black daiquiri:: NO CAPES!

Recommended Posts

Continuing with my theme to unleash my inner superhero, my main quest will be the same as last time with each subquest supporting it.

MAIN QUEST
Ever since City of Heroes, I have felt like there was a superhero within me that wanted to be let out. Unfortunately, I played the game more than I attempted to transform my body, so that inner hero of mine is still “inner.â€

As such, my main quest is to become my inner superhero: fit, strong, and capable.

Edna Mode (Life Quest)
More creativity! I haven’t written or played the piano in a long time and I want to get started with them again. This is a “once a week†quest, but I want to get at least 100 words written per week or 20-30 minutes playing the piano. (Does not need to be done in a single session.)

Pass/Fail per week (max of 6)

WIS - 2

And, we're off!

I'll be tagging along for this one too. We even have some of the same goals this time.

(In fact I am doing everything in your challenge, some just aren't official quests).

Day 1 - all quests: BIG FAT ZERO

Let's see if I can get something done today. That'd be great.

On the bright side, you only have to do one thing today and you've made a huge improvement.

I just finished one of my exercise sessions for the day, in the middle of my session you came to mind.

I'm doing a parkour fitness course and today was the light session, focussed on mobility and balance. They started me off light, standing on one foot, the other out in front, they proceeded to get harder until I was wobbling and throwing my arms around for balance so much that you'd think I was on a highwire, not my bedroom floor.

One of my favorite things to try to do at physical therapy was this suspended balance board. There are rails about hip height and the board is suspended from those bringing it about 6" above ground level. Trying to balance on that was crazy since it wobbled back and forth (or if you were standing facing the other way, it'd wobble side to side). I never managed to balance on it for more than probably 20 seconds before the wobbling made me grab the rail or put a foot down, but it was definitely a way to see how much I lacked in balancing!

Found a photo of it:

I yoga'd!

(I know - image isn't themed, but flail!)

Also, as part of the mini, between attempting to touch my toes with cold muscles, and trying again after yoga, I went from 4cm above ground to just barely touching with the tips of my middle fingers. Yay stretching!

Now bed.

So, I'm gonna announce even though I feel like it's jumping on the "me too!" bandwagon (for which my sis thinks I'm nuts for thinking, but there's another babysassin en route. And this particular babysassin has me pretty much food averse to everything. As a result, I've been super tired and low-energy, so I'm gonna do what I can do and not worry about the rest.

I will still attempt to do some stretching to help out my fellow assassins on the nerdiprise so I can touch my toes before my belly gets so big that becomes impossible. ;) But everything else is up in the air until I start feeling a bit better.

And that's pretty much my status update. I haven't been able to do much outside of the one yoga session this week. /sigh  Tomorrow, I'm taking my teenage daughter shopping at the mall, so at least I'll get some walking in, even if it's not brisk, exercise walking. :)

Love you sister! Let me know if you need any support in just *doing* things :)

I just did this to keep mom off your back. ;) Might make you go for walks with me this next week if temps are not stupid high (and I have some energy in the evenings...)

Congratulations!!!

Thanks!!

Went to the mall yesterday with my daughter for some before school shopping so I got a few hours of walking (and standing) back and forth around the mall. It was a good day, though I was pretty tired. Managed to eat about a fourth of a giant salad from Texas Roadhouse (omg, it was giant!) and then, before we left, we got a bit of ice cream from Whitey's. I ended up getting a completely different flavor than I normally eat. I love black cherry, but yesterday... it was cotton candy. >.> That was weird.

Hoping that this next week is a bit more comfortable so I can do a bit more. :)

Well, hi there everyone.

I haven't done much of anything recently. So much food aversion happening, but not too much morning sickness, so I guess that's been a good thing. Unfortunately, it's left me not eating a whole lot which meant no energy for anything. I think it's passing. Food is becoming much more palatable, so yay that!

As a result, I haven't done much of anything for the past two weeks.

Went for a walk today with my sister. It was hot and muggy and humid, but it was still a good thing. We were out for about 45 minutes.

I am considering changing up my goals for the rest of the challenge because I don't really think I'll be able to hit much of anything for the rest of the challenge and I'd like to be able to say that I "won" a challenge - even if it's just one minor quest. I will probably knock things down to just one or two quests, but I haven't quite figured out how yet. :/
