Hello! Adventuring time!

I am finally back and committed to making my life better. Ive been toying with the idea of exercise but had no one to make me accountable. So i am here for support.

I frequently feel like my main quest is compatible with the Druid ways, even though my goals are often more suited to other groups. So you guys are stuck with me again!

 

Main quest:

Rebuilding my life and self development.

As it sounds. I had a tumultuous couple of years! (mental health issues)

So i want to get to know myself, challenge my self imposed limits and build my body back up.

 

Challenge Goals:

1)Start the c25k program, never less workouts than 3x a week(3+xcardio=a, 2=c, 1=f)

-sta+4

2)Stretch daily for 15 minutes+ in order to develop the splits.(7x week=a, 6x=b, 5x=c)

-dex+4

3)Practice clean eating.(Dont eat under 1000kcal, dont buy nutella, reasonable sized desserts etc)(7 days clean=a, 6=b, 5=c) 

-con+4

Life side quest:

Read through the "happiness trap pocketbook" again, and actually practice mindfulness this time! (once a day for at least 5 minutes- 7days=a 6=b, 5=c)

-wis+3

My greatest challenge is lack of discipline. So over the next 6 weeks that will be developed and i will be unstoppable!

Hey Kairiel! I'm a bouncer arounder, too...Druids are a copasetic lot. :) Looks like you've chosen some routes that will gradually increase demand -- all the best as you move into it!

Heya! Very ambitious indeed, but I am sure you can do it. :) As SpeciaSundae said, just make sure you aren't too hard on yourself and don't be afriad to scale down if you find you are struggling too much with it.

 

I can really empathise with your main quest, by the way. My last two years have been horrid, and part of the reason I joined Nerdfitness was that I finally wanted to get a grip on them. I am very curious about your updates!

I love couch to 5k, it's a great programme.

Sorry to hear you've had a difficult couple of years, I'm glad you're putting it behind you and looking forward to improving your body and mind. I'm really bad keeping up meditating, maybe I should have put it as one of my goals!!

Today i dont know if i can count as clean eating. I had cheese and avocado toast for breakfast... Is that healthy?

Otherwise ive done brilliantly with food. Having trouble motivating to do cross-training though. I just feel worn down at the end of the day. 

Maybe if i phrase it differently....

 

*The amazon recruit surveyed the camp at sunset. Her clan-mates were busy around the camp. Some were stretching, others dueling. One looked up as she walked past. "Want to join us for some training?" asked the head-trainer.

"Definitely." She replied. Anything on her quest to become an amazon princess. She readied herself with some heavy rocks for weights, and looked to the instructor for directions....*

 

I've done this video before. How hard can it be?

I've always found it better to get any working out done in the morning. Fresh willpower and energy then, you know? That might help you with your cross training dilemma, maybe!

Avocado toast sounds healthy to me. I also hear you on working out at the end of the day, if you can manage to get a workout in in the morning, it's usually easier to fit in before you get too busy and it can help make you feel like you've accomplished something right away.

ARGHHHH

I thought itd be the exercise that got me.

But the battle of the binge defeated me.

Ive been drastically overeating healthy food, but today it went south.

I needed chocolate so bad i walked to the shop. I got a bag of cookies, a small toblerone, a tub of icecream, biltong and dates.

The guy behind me said "someones got the munchies" and the whole world will think i'm menstruating(or high -i WAS wearing a beanie!)

 

So i am deadly ashamed, massively overfed, and worried that it'll continue this way indefinitely.

But get up tomorrow and try again.... i wont have any food soon enough. I'll go broke feeding this appetite.

at least i threw the cookies out after eating only three....

Good for you throwing the rest out. I find I do the same if I want something (like chocolate), once I'm in the shop I go nuts and buy everything and then eat it all...

What I have to do now is only take a small amount of money (enough for one thing) or have small, single portion things in the house that I can have one of to kurb the crave.

Tomorrow is another day, don't think of this as a set back, just something that happened that you can't change, that you've learned from :)

Today i skipped to week 5 of c25k because i found week three so easy.

I survived!

I also survived my first solitary drive in over a year. Yeah. I'm feeling good.

Still need to stretch before bed. And my eating wasnt as bad today as yesterday, but still not good. 

I'll work on it.

Yeah, next time you get a craving for chocolate and sweets, just pick one and tell yourself you can go get more later if the urge strikes.  The craving should get a lot smaller after a little indulgence.  (Says the person with seven unopened packets of nice cookies; I enjoy buying them more than actually eating them, like the idea of nice cookies is what gives my pleasure.)
