I did, however, reward my self with another NF tank to be worn at my 5K at the end of the month. I wanted to represent but I have a Tshirt and another tank. I don't want to run in a Tshirt; it will be too hot. And the tank I have is hard to see the NF logo on it. It's the dark grey tank with NF written on it in red. it doesn't stand out. So I bought the pink tank. In the meantime, here is how I did with my planned activities.... Week 1 Itinerary Progress Just so this is recorded.... here is my plan for the week Monday - strength workout. I've decided on this Darebee workout in addition to the PT exercises. I don't have much time though since we have scouts tonight and I am teaching a merit badge tonight and I'm not really prepared. DONE Tuesday - go for a run NOT DONE but SUBBED alternate cardio Wed - Strength workout at home. Darebee workout TBD I no longer remember what I did Tuesday.... Thurs - boxing cardio class at the gym. It will be my strength workout for the week and will take care of the Ranger mini for the week DONE Fri - a run in the morning, work half a day, and then back in the car for another drive. DONE Saturday - I must fit a run into this too. I can go for a run with my sister who will be running her first 5K with me in late August. Did missing strength, moved run to Sunday Sunday - rest day and driving day. And hopefully not repeating yesterday. Me too. If I leave it up to chance I won't get all the workouts in that I want to for my goals. But it would help if I remembered to cross it off as I go. Now I can't exactly remember each day. Shello Posted August 4, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 Weekend Update Saturday was the one full day with family. I did my workout in the morning and my PT exercises. My sister recently had gastric bypass surgery so there were some pretty decent food choices. We spent the afternoon with some little kid activities and a quick 20 minute train ride. It was decided to eat out and we had to go to a place that everyone liked. We ended up at a place with mostly burgers and a pizza buffet. I honestly couldn't decide and neither was a great option. So my son got an amazing burger but had to let me have a few bites - and I got to skip the fries. I got the buffet but slipped him a few slices. I also had access to a ceasar salad so I loaded up with that. I had more calories than I normally would have had but I did pretty well and still ended the day with a deficit. Sunday I had only a quest bar and some milk for breakfast because I was meeting a rebel for lunch. I did go for a run first too. That was a very good decision because lunch was at a buffet place that had an amazing brunch buffet. I loaded up on eggs, bacon, and sausage and some fruit. I definitely over ate and ended up with at least half of my daily calories on that meal but it was almost all protein. According to MFP, after that meal my carbs were only at 11%. I made up for it at dinner though. Qbert and I (my son) had trouble picking out a place on the road for dinner and we were going to grab food at this particular truck stop but we couldn't find it. We ended up at Denny's. Meh. But they have all the calories on their menu which was very helpful. I order a burger and some hashbrowns, logged it on MFP and then ate only half to keep a deficit. Overall, not bad. I got 83% on this but according to the goal I am to train for the 5K 3 times. That half point was technically training for 5K but it wasn't an actual run. A- Goal 2: Sonic Screwdriver For this challenge my goal is to train 17 times. I would like to workout 3 times a week but I'll allow one free pass. 3x = 100%. A+ Goal 3: CICO3a: Maintain a calorie deficit Deficit all 7 days. A3b: I would like to keep my calories from carbs around 30-35%. Average carbs 28%. A+ Total weight lost this week = 0.2 Total deficit 6307. Something is not adding up but I'll continue at least another week for more data.. because data. Life Quest: Money, Moola, clams, bucks, greenbacks, loot. Nothing saved yet. Actually, I spent too much money travelling. I think I need to find him some Iron Man underoos... Or maybe Batman. I like that you give yourself alternative workouts on days where the planned one doesn't work out. Eating when travelling is super hard and I think you should look at situations like this not how often you picked the best choice but how often you didn't pick the really bad choice that you truly wanted. I think I did so much better than the weekend before. I was a little disappointed to not lose any weight on the scale but I could feel the difference. It was tough though! Which makes it that much more rewarding. Lol, when I logged that meal it took up my whole screen....stupid salads! I know. It's tough to log all that stuff made by other people. Shello Posted August 4, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 So I completed the Ranger mini yesterday. I had to run for 10 min continuously. I did make it so now I'll have to make sure I push myself to do that all the time. I was thinking that would help me in the 5K but it actually slowed down my time. I just run slower and then take a longer walking break in the middle. I think from now until the race I'll push myself to run that 10 minutes, no matter the speed, and then try to run a 2nd 10 minutes on the way back. Hopefully the speed will just take care of itself as I get used to it. ?? Actually I had it narrowed down to the Invisible Woman breakfast Slam (blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns) or the build your own burger. The calories from the burger fit into MFP better. Right when I started the 3rd set, on the first sit up I got a serious ab cramp. Ab Cramp?! WTH is that? It's a thing! I swear it. And it sucks. I could do no more sit ups... I did some yoga stretchy stuff instead. Holy moly. Attempt to complete Ranger mini (10 min continuous running) DONE and mini accomplishedTuesday - PT and Neila Rey core workout DONEWednesday - Run. If Ranger mini accomplished - do it again since then I know I can do it. If not, try again.Thursday - PT and Neila Rey lower body strength workoutFriday - family bike ride?Saturday - Run. (See Wednesday) also D&D night returns.Sunday - PT and Neila Rey workout TBD I did the Ripley Neila Rey workout tonight. 3 sets is level I with a minute break between sets. Right when I started the 3rd set, on the first sit up I got a serious ab cramp. Ab Cramp?! WTH is that? It's a thing! I swear it. And it sucks. I could do no more sit ups... I did some yoga stretchy stuff instead. Holy moly. I'm also planning on taking the dog for a walk tonight to up the calories burned. Congrats for the run, Shello! What an accomplishment, I'm really happy for you And that Ripley workout looks super hard O__o Respect!! Despite the ab cramp.
