RedPandaOne Posted July 26, 2015 Report Share Posted July 26, 2015 Alright. I've been here for a year. Nothing has progressed. In fact, I even gained 10 pounds. That makes 38 pounds gained in 4 1/2 years. Maybe I was trying to do too much all at once? Focusing too much on exercise and not enough on diet? Time to take a step back and reevaluate. This challenge will be like I've never tried losing weight at all. Forget everything I've learned and start from the start. So, here we go! 1) Track AND measure all food. I'm fine with tracking, but I think I've become off on what my serving sizes actually are. Time to break out all things measuring, and measure the sh*t out of everything. Even take pictures to post (if I remember) so people here can weigh in on what they think. 2) Do a streak of no k-cup chai lattes. Basically just see how long I can go without them. I'm going to see if I can do a streak instead of saying "only x amount is allowed per week". If I give myself an allowance, I will use it. But I don't want to flat out ban them. So, just see how long I can go without them and build off of that. 3) Get off my ass and exercise. It's just become so hard since everything started going downhill a month or two ago (see battle log). So, do ANYTHING at least twice a week. If I have to overcome my desire to sleep just to make it twice a week. Do it!! and a bonus 4) Do something once a week that makes me happy. It can be as simple as coloring, playing a video game, or going to the movies. Make life awesome. Always keep fighting. Try not to fall into that pit, I own my happiness. I was pouring my breakfast this morning and was like "I did say I was going to try to take pictures of all my food. But my phone is upstairs. Not going to walk upstairs to get my phone just to take a picture of cereal. I have 6 more weeks. It's the same everyday. No biggie!". And it's true. I have the same thing for breakfast every. single. day. I also plan on working out when I get home tonight. And if not tonight, tomorrow morning. This is usually my off week, but since almost every week has been my off week for the past 2 months, I need to get back into the swing of things. It would just be so much easier if I were someone who liked working out. Even when I was I was going consistently, it was never something I looked forward to. I typically go to the gym, and by the time I hit the cardio room around 7:30 the "real" news is over and all the bubbly fake news is on. It's mainly just sucking it up and doing it. And getting to bed slightly earlier. I think it was quarter to 11 by the time I shut off my light and went to sleep. Make it so I can't let others down. I did enjoy the group classes that I took. I'm sad my hula hoop girl moved, I loved that class. It's so boring doing it myself. And all the classes I want to take at the gym are while I'm at work I just printed off a whole bunch of recipes that use watermelon. My mom and I might try some this week. Would have done more but the humidity is like walking through soup. Ugh. Instead of setting my alarm for 5:30, I set it for 5:50. I realized I didn't need as much time in the morning when working out at home because I didn't need to factor in any driving time. Duh. Today is my progress check-in with my supervisor and manager. Hopefully they have realized that I work better without all the extra supervision and those issues were just a small bump in the road. Or hopefully they just finally let me go. But I don't know if I'll have time on Friday. Damn. I'll just get up and do it." And I will let you guys know how the meeting goes. Like I told my mom, I will still be celebrating if they let me go. They are a major reason why I've started seeing a therapist. You really shouldn't hope every morning to get into a car accident so you can go to the hospital so you don't have to go to work. T-minus 2 hours. My ipod knew I'm stressed. It played Jurassic Park - the 8 minute long version - on my way in. It's my stress song. It also played Men in Black last Thursday or Friday after a long stressful day. Had me bouncing and dancing in my car. I think I'm just hoping so much that they will that I've convinced myself that they will. Only things left to grab are a couple pictures I've left out, a couple coasters, and my protein powder. Everything else is in my purse or in the box tote that I keep under my desk for my purse and blanket. Gah! I really wish this meeting was earlier in the day, which makes me think that since it's not until almost noon they are not letting me go. They'd just want to get it over and done with. I would like to make hula hoop practice a more purposeful part of my day, do you have any flows or special moves you practice? I wish I had a class I could take a couple of time to get started, but right now it's just me and my sparkle hoop and youtube videos, and it's hard to focus for longer than 5 minutes at a time. Had one job mess up, and they didn't like how I handled two others. Nothing went wrong with them, they just saw that with my other issue and decided to get hr involved. So I've been under review the past month. Today was the check in to see how I've progressed. Need to go another month.After almost 7 years here for a job that was only suppose to be 3 months, I'm just tired of all the bs. And more and more is happening. I need out, but can't get out. Which has led me to try my pet sitting venture. As for hula hooping, I don't do much. Just basic side to side and then front to back. I spend 5 minutes on each, going in natural and unnatural direction. So 20 minutes is my minimum. I try to throw in some squats when doing side to side and backwards lunges when doing front to back. Halos too if I'm feeling up to it at the end. But I'm like you, I get bored. I need that teacher to keep me focused. I usually set up Netflix and watch something to keep me entertained.
