I really don't know about training hard. Hard for me? Sure. Hard for some of the other guys at the gym? Bwahahah!

There are some veritable beasts in my class, and I mean that in the best possible way. :)

When I grow up, I want to be able to maybe do half the things they can do! 

 

Tsk tsk! Only compare yourself to the person you were yesterday ;) So, keep getting better!!

 

The wrist sounds nasty, though...! Hopefully they can take it off in two weeks instead of three. Sending a lot of healing thoughts your way!

In other news: It appears that my “squishy†left wrist is not only sprained as I thought, but there is a fissure in one of the carpal bones (the Lunate, I believe).
As of this afternoon, I am the owner of a shiny new plaster splint (which, for the record, I hate – and it’s not really shiny, either).
I am supposed to wear the blasted thing for the next 2 – 3 weeks.
Grrrrrrargh.

 

 

 

Well, you KNOW you're working hard .... now it's time to heal and back off a bit.

Yesterday I spent some time imagining how that fissure was closing, how the bone was mending - in my mind it had a bit of nanobot-y feeling to it. :)

Today I'm not in constant pain anymore.

Whatever is at work here (and no matter if I personally like the splint), at least something seems to be working for now. :encouragement:

Just wanted to finally drop on by and say hi  :rapture:

 

Make sure to let that wrist get the time it needs to heal. I second Shepherd Fox on the healing thoughts: sending as many your way as I can. Can you feel your wrist healing even more yet?

 

Anyways, I hope your day's been going well. Keep kicking ass, Swampling! Even if that means resting right now, in preparation for the next battle  ;)

I did some squats and lunges yesterday, nothing too serious, just to ease back into doing something (or anything, really), and I can still feel those today. :s

My paw still feels a bit twingey in certain ROMs, but since I won't be able to see a specialist until April, I've decided to wear the splint (at least on and off) for another week and see how it feels after that. 

 

Considering that I won't be able to talk to someone knowledgeable about his for another four weeks, I will have to come up with alternative plans for movement, because everything I had considered puts too much load on the hands and wrists (Vitamin, Elements, Handstands or more IS...all the fun things. There's only so much squats, lunges, HBHs and planks I can do... :P). 

 

So in a way it's not too bad that I caught a cold and am feeling a bit under the weather. Gives me more time to think about what I want to do for the next couple of weeks. :P

Good to hear from you! :D It's good to take a moment to think every now and then, but I do hope the flu passes soon. Maybe focus on other goals, such as diet, finances, etc?

 

I can't remember if I've ever asked you, but what kind of foods do you eat? :)

Hello, awesome rebels! 

 

I can't believe it's been a week already. :( During this past week I have been drinking gallons of tea and pretty much coughed my guts out 24/7. I don't recommend it. Oh, and I lost my voice some time last weekend. Haven't got it back yet. *sigh*

 

The good news is that my paw could use that time to heal a bit more, since I was not tempted at all to fool around with anything movement related. :P 

 

So - back to work tomorrow, but practice will probably have to wait until the weekend. Somehow I doubt I'll have enough energy for it until then.

That sounds like a bad illness! Sending a lot of healing vibes your way :< It's been a difficult winter with illnesses, but soon it's summer, and we'll be healthy and amazing :D

Okay, not burned, but still battling the crud bug. :P

Still coughing, but at least I have my voice back. Yay! :encouragement:

 

Still no practice, energy levels are still low. :(

I hope to visit with Rosie later today, though I don't think we'll be able to do much. But I haven't seen her for weeks, now. 

 

At least my wrist is feeling normal, but as I am not back to doing anything with it, really, except for the day-to-day stuff, I can't really tell how it's going to feel once I get back to animal movements, IS or KB practice.
