Hi everyone, I'm a few days late but I'm here.

I worked hard last challenge on improving my time management.  I made great progress, and want to continue on this idea.

I plan to establish a minimum level of fitness for everyday.  So if work/school/family etc get in the way and my whole day goes to hell I can always hit at least my minimum.

I want a preflight checklist of sorts, that needs to have every box checked before bed.

So my goals this time will all be towards that end.

Lets raise up those stats

wile-e-coyote-5356.jpg

1a. walk 7.5k steps ( My minimum.)

I usually beat that before I leave work, but tend to not walk as much on weekends.  This my minimum and if I can't check it off at night, I will have to go for a walk.

Keeping track using habit app

1b. Minimum PT

I want to do a short session of calisthenics at the moment I plan to do air squats, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, and jumping jacks.

I am thinking this will be a 5-10 min thing done whenever the day permits.  If I can't check the box before bed, get it done...

Tracking using a habit app

1c. Wizerscises while at work, with a sprinkle of stairs

Simplified this means I will do 10 air squats for each restroom break while at work.  Along the same lines, I won't take elevators at work.

I will be tracking these on my phone using a habit tracking app that will allow me to keep track of them as I go.

2. Eat under 2k calories + vitamins

If I stick to my planned food this will be easy. Take my vitamin D and multi.  I will also use the app to track this info as well

3. Stretch at work

Start my work days with stretching, simple 5-10 min session.  Again tracked with a habit app.

Life goal: Complete one house chore each day.

I have been gaining a lot of momentum lately doing things through the week, which has freed up more of my weekends for fun.  I want to keep it up and do at least one thing each day.  Will track using my habit tracker as well.

This plan is my fail safe, sorta speak.  If I can make these items a no questions asked habit, then even days when I can't do anything above and beyond I would still maintain minimum level of fitness, nutrition, and productivity that I would be happy with.

Above and beyond I would like to get more serious work outs in, my lifting mainly.

So that is my plan,

raise up my worst days to increase my overall average sorta speak.

  1. "Wizercise" is my new favorite word

3. Its lovely, and was a collaborative effort from fellow assassins in one of my past challenges.

When I saw "wizercise" in your last challenge thread, I went to the Google, expecting to find it on Urban Dictionary, but instead I saw your January challenge thread within the first few results.  I found it both hilarious and practical.

Excellent approach with the "maximize your baseline" goal.  It really will set you up for success when the princess arrives. And in the mean time, you're racking up big points for our HabitRPG team!

Also, the baby shower pics are amazing!!

Ha ha ha.  A lot classier than piss ups lol.

Yeah habitRPG is fun, the game aspect of it is nice, the rewire app I am testing is a bit easier to manage/update/check.

Thanks, yeah my mother in law rocked it hard.  I am lucky to say that my folks as well as my inlaws both accept me and my wife for the nerds we are.  They even have began to join in.

My mom loves Groot lol.

Here is some of the bad news.

Its hot! very hot.  So I don't want to be outside, and I don't want to walk around as much at work.

But so far I have been able to get my minimums done.

So I work in a power plant, and we make  ~2500 degree fireball and produce electricity.

7ffRn8ml.jpg

Picture from one of the boiler viewports.

This is cool, but the downside is the building is usually 120 degrees.

So the amount time we can spend inside is limited.

The problem in summer is that the outside here in Florida is also hot!

So when I need to escape the boiler building's heat I can step out into the Florida sun

Last night I was going to take the dogs for a walk when the sun went down, then it was 91 degrees lol

But we get swarmed by mosquitoes, its just kinda yucky out here.

Remember to check the floor temperature for your dogs! Too hot for you, too hot for them!

very true!  We are very careful since bulldogs are heat sensitive.

We walk them in shade, and bring water.  Also out walks are usually only a couple of blocks.

Also got a cool down pool for them if they want.  And a ice cube treat when we get home :)

Wee 1 recap.

100%!!!

Been a while since I can say that I was 100%  rock and roll.

Things felt easy this week.

I was in the zone.

tumblr_mj8ljf07iy1riuta9o1_500.gif

The highlights

1. went to eat at an Italian restaurant and ate healthily.  I ignored the pizza, pasta, garlic rolls, and ordered some grilled meat and veggies platter.

They brought out a small grill with some coals under it and sat it on a table next to me.  totally cool!

I ate well for a whole week!  I always have such a damn hard time with goal.

2. so many chores done.  I installed a new dishwasher, fixed the fridge, built a closet organizer for the baby room, bought new shoes, and tested some firearms related products at the request of the designer.

My chore goal really helped me be productive

Riding high into week 2.

Hope everyone has a great week

Still strong.  I had my first missed checkmark yesterday.

It was my step goal.  I only had 6900.

I am in the middle of my plants budget review for next year.

This is the first time going through it as the maint manager, meaning I am responsible for the planning of ~15 million.

It is stressing me out a bit more than I would like.

I was working late yesterday and didn't get home till 8:30, forced my pt and stretches.

did minor chores, mail, trash bit of tidying etc.  (almost didn't count that either.)

then ate dinner.  took the dogs for a walk and it was hot and buggy so we didn't go far.

came back in and saw that I had 6800 steps (too much pc time at work, stoopid excel sucking away my life.)

I made the decision to just go to bed instead of walking the extra steps.

The spirit of my check list goals is to keep a minimum level of fitness, nutrition, and productivity even when life is hard.

6/7 isn't bad but I really should have gotten those extra steps in.

Don't beat yourself too much, if you skipped these few steps for some TV watching or another time wasting thing, I would have taken out Judgemental Cat for you, but sleeping is important!

Walk a bit more today if you can!
