Fear TWD...meh? Really?

Nearly the entire episode was a slow, drawn out character introduction. True to unofficial TWD policy, since there was more than one black male character, they did some character culling. Some characters were unrealistically dumbed down to match the slow pace of the script. I had liked parts of the opening scene and the metal detector scene, but other than that, I got very little entertainment from the rest of the episode. I'm not going to write off the whole series yet. It might improve.

You've been jaded by seasons of TWD.  How else was this first episode gonna go? They had to introduce you to the characters and get you a bit more invested in them. I was overly pleased with it, despite it being super slow.

 

Literal lol @ the character culling...they may have introduced two black guys, and killed both off already.  However, thankfully there was no character equivalent to T-Dog.

You forget the principal. There can be only one.

And the main character might be the great ethnic equalizer. That actor is one of the most universal ethnic actors ever. He has played Mexican, Arab, SEAsian, or almost anything brown. No other dark male character is safe while his character is alive.

I'm disappointed that I skipped Shovel DLs. Those are supposed to be my DL volume boosters. I spent too much time fucking around with other stuff, though the efficient use of my time could be improved simply by getting more sleep. The sputtering-out at the end of the day is destroying all productivity goals.

Your lockouts on some of those OHP. I feel like I should give you an applause.

My 3rd 170lb rep of OHP last night was the one rep to rule all reps. I only just barely got over my sticking point and I was losing strength at the same rate that I was gaining mechanical advantage. 10 second positive rep.

I know this feeling exactly!  It is stuck at the sticking point and you fight for it and you fight for it and you fight for it.  As you said, 10 seconds later, it is finally up.
