stellar
So i am currently reading the paleo solution, and want to do the 30-day challenge as part of the next 6-week challenge.. The only issue I am having is finding grass-fed meat. I shop mainly at chain grocery stores, and have been having trouble finding grass-fed meat. I have no problem finding "vegetarian fed" meat, but not specifically grass-fed. Anyone know where I can find grass-fed meat at a reasonable price? Most of the big chains are available (Waldbaums, Stop N Shop, Met Food, Key Food, Pathmark), and if anyone knows any local places in Brooklyn, NY that would be even better! Also, anyone do the paleo challenge without being strict on only having grass-fed meat? How were your results? Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
Loren Wade
I've been doing paleo for 6 months, with great results, and have yet to eat grass-fed meats. Buy it if you can find/afford it... but it's not going to stop you from getting results if you can't get it. Quote lobro's a druid? twitter | fb Link to comment

I understood that there were a lot of butcher shops in brooklyn, but my 411 may be dated. Quote i don't care what u think of me. unless u think i'm awesome. in which case u're right. I just did a quick check in Localharvest.org and found 10 places in Brooklyn NY that sell farm fresh veges and some have grass finished meats. Go there and see what you can find. Looks like there are some vege CSAs that partner with some beef, chicken and pork producers to have both meat and vege shares. But if you can't find grass finished meats that's ok too. iamwoman
You can also try Trader Joe's. Quote The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered: "Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money in order to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future. He lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived." Link to comment
