So i finally defeated a challenge after several years. I'm determined to keep that going! 

This is my plan "KICKBUTT:"

 

Life quest:

as always, self development! I'm going to continue to be my best self! 

My new goals are basically the same as my old ones.

 

Goal one: Continue running training. That means hard cardio 3+ times a week. sta+4 (a= 15-18x, b=12-14, c=10-11)

Goal two: Stretch daily. Im going to do the splits eventually! Also my wheel pose needs work. dex+3 con+1 (a=42, b=40-41 c=38-39)

Goal three: 3x strength workouts in a week. 2x arms 1x abs/legs.  I am doing a pushup and chinup challenge so i hope to follow that. chinups only possible on my friday/saturday workout. sadly. str+4. (a=18, b=15-17, c=13-14)

 

Side quest: Shower daily!!!! this may sound stupid but its getting warmer here and i tend to just shower after a workout. So i want to become a normal-good-smelling-human, even on off days. It might also mean i actually wash my hair. Im growing it out so it needs more care. cha+3  (a=42, b=40-41 c=38-39)

 

 

Anyways, i needed to work on strength and charisma stats most so thats what this challenge is for, 

I have to keep up my brain training too unfortunately. ever since being quietly chastised for my lax performance ive been making sure to increase my time on the site. ERG.

My friends were discussing what real-world class they'd be. Apparently they decided im a mage. I can live with that since its pretty close to druid, and they didnt consider druid a class in their system. ITS A SIGN im meant to be here!

 

A nice cup of tea awaits, so its time for me to wrap this up,

Self development is a wonderful life quest and in my eyes highly underrated. Way too many people just get stuck at one point in their lives, and don't even try to find out who they could be. 

Doing the splits is a dream that we share… I just felt it was way too early (as yoga beginner) to put this into a challenge already.

I know the feeling. I have definitely been slacking off this week.

 

Granted, one of my runs was definitely canceled because running during a typhoon didn't sound like fun, but that doesn't really apply to the one I skipped today... or the yoga I skipped. :S

erg! thats all i have to say on day one. My bipolar butt has crashed into an annoying greyness of doom. After the high during last challenge, its especially frustrating. I did nothing yesterday. Not even yoga. I fell asleep on the couch at 8pm because i couldnt move with fatigue. ARGHHHHHHH

Its okay. Ive been through this before. I can work through things and make the most of it.

The plus side is i put in an application for university. I should hear from them within a few months. :D

what would be good is to do my strength workout now. But im so hungry. I should eat first. And put it off until i ignore it again. :|

still no running, only a half hour walk yesterday. Im thinking i'll make a bargain with myself. I'll go run 4x a week for 2-3 weeks to make up the lost sessions.

Keep struggling with "you should starve so your body eats its own fat" thoughts. I remind myself i dont want to lose muscle too.

did my yoga at least! and am going to do legs AND arms today.

You are not boring! 

Walking is better than nothing.

 

A challenge is a challenge, and success depends also on the stuff that does not necessarily make an "entertaining read." Aren't these threads meant to find support especially when things are NOT running extra smooth? I think so.

 

In other words; you are not going to get rid of me. :D

 

I am convinced that you will be successful, and I'm going to stick around to watch it happen. :)

That was crazy motivational! :D

I ended up doing 25min cardio on friday and a strength workout too. 

Mum is dragging me out running tonight which im not looking forward too because its been over a week....

Its arm day, thinking about upping the reps of pike pushups. If i survive.

 

so.... its been 2x strength and 2x cardio by tonight.

stretched(even if just for a minute) daily.

showered daily. 

 

If i do 4x cardio, 4x strength next week i'll count it in the total.

legs and abs tonight. While watching topgear. :D (im in love with James May)

Eating going well. Didnt binge, but had two treats :( (i was out and my recovery worker bought a doughnut so i had to too... and then i found raw vegan caramel...)

Recovery worker was so bad at listening. "i feel anxious and sad but im not sure what triggered it" "why do you think youre sad?" "I JUST TOLD YOUUUUUUUU"

well, i didnt say the last sentence quite like that.

Got a letter from my granny today. It was sad.... she seems to be living like shes dying soon. Reminiscing about our days together and talking about going to heaven. Made me sad. But we had the best of times... dammit im crying now :\ (am i allowed to say dammit?)

So that is my day. I might make dinner soon. I need a hug. :(

Life does these weird things to us, and we sometimes just don't know how to handle them. But then - I think it is great that your granny talks to you about the things on her mind. What a great proof of trust and love, if she shares her thoughts with you! Cherish her letters, and keep them - they are way more than "just letters."

stretching going well, i am now about 4-5inches off doing the splits... and about a foot off straddle splits XD

assuming i didnt overstretch and therefore put myself back to the beginning. again. again. 

I have done one strength workout... but i have a morning one and then arms for tomorrow so im not worried. Except that i am also running today tomorrow yesterday and sunday.... ARGH

making up for my missed run last week. i love it cos its all that stops my depression right now. :D

trying to think of what to write back to my granny. I just dont do anything i havent told her about, and she sure wouldnt be happy to hear "im 100days self harm free"(which i am today!) or "im getting back into my pagan religion" because she doesnt know about SI and is a hardcore christian and doesnt want to hear im "going to hell" or something

so im at a loss. I spent half of today googling "what to write to grandparents" Best ive got is a "remember that time we...."

Also ive been crushing the shower goal! Especially important with the extra exercise and the warmth.

Sounds awfully good with all the physical stuff! :D I can see that it has positive effects on the soul as well. Very good!

 

Congratulations on being 100 days self harm free! This is a huge achievement, and worth to be marked red in a calendar! How about a nice reward, like a good smelling body lotion for after shower... a nice way to being nice to yourself!

 

Granny... Write about simple things she can relate to. A pleasant conversation you had with a neighbor, something that you saw and liked (playing dogs, cats, birds...) or share interesting recipe, even though your Granny might not cook the stuff herself, just tell her about it and convey good feelings! Tell her that you love to hear/ read from her and how much you treasure her letter(s). And why not telling her you've included more sports in your life, or about the splits? Might make her laugh that someone tries to do the splits, but at least your letter is miles away from boring!

Woo! So close to the splits! And good job on the shower goal!

 

I second the day to day anecdotes sort of thing. You can also say something about how you're feeling happier lately if you want to allude to the lack of self-harm without potentially upsetting her.

right now i am "cleaning my room" *snort*

 

My week 2 report....

Also my very-vegetarian diet failed on friday cos i ate parents leftovers.

I got over 30 000 steps yesterday from hiking. :D

I hope your run was more fun than cleaning your grandfather's toenails! :P

 

 

And yeah, parental cooking is often the downfall for starting vegetarians. Sometimes even established ones... last time I was visiting my parents, I noticed some left over squash soup which my dad assured me was vegetarian so I had some, but when my mom came home she informed me there was chicken stock in it. :( Stupid sneaky meat ingredients.

so this week really sucked. 

My mood is slightly better(baseline not depressed, WOOT!)

My therapy homework is going well(i have been using the "worry about it later" technique!)

Ive been keeping up with stretching and showering 

I posted my letter

BUT

My running has been appalling. Really bad. I went once, and ended up walking. I dont know what happened, but 7min into the run segment it was like massive period cramps sans period. ARGH i almost cried. It was still an hour walk so i hope it counts for something. Does this ever happen to anyone? any guess why it happened? Its happened to me before on occasion. It wasnt stomach cramps, it was too low. I think. 

I only did abs and arms. No legs :( I was hoping for hill runs but as i was dying apparently not. SUNDAY BETTER BE BETTER. Eurgh. two betters in one sentence, how hateful.

 

 

Oh, and on top of that my October road trip has been cancelled due to my friend suffering horribly at work with an audit of doom. I'm sad for her and her lack of life right now.

 

I also got one of those scales with a bodyfat guesstimate, and it said 23.5% I'd like to be ~20%. i figure then i wont go below 16% if its massively off and ill be nicely athletic if its right. I would say im 22-23% from looking at pictures. so its as close as me i suppose.

 

Also, i cast a small spell for happiness. next day was when i got told about how i was eligible for direct entry to uni.

 

hope end of week run works better. I NEED sundays run to be smooth.

Ah, period cramps are definitely rough during runs. They're marginally better than developing leaks... but not by much.

To me, it sounds like a lot of successes: not depressed, therapy workout done, kept up stretching/ showering, eligible for direct entry to university, and posted your letter.

The positive clearly outnumbers the negative!

 

Period cramps suck.

 

Have a good start of the second half of the challenge! :)
