I’m so, sooooo sick of being called tiny. I’m going to get big.

My deadlift WILL hit 225 by the end of this challenge.

Body goal (semi-joking here):

Quest #1: LIFT BIG

Typical week:

M: Deadlifts + upper back accessory

Tu: Rest/cardio/yoga

W: Lower body accessory

Th: Bench Press + accessory

F: Squats + accessory

Sa: Upper body bodybuilding

Su: Rest/cardio/yoga

 

Quest #2: EAT BIG

Follow the plan! Submit my nutrition for the week to my coach every Saturday. Try my best to meet daily macros, minimize alcohol, and minimize restaurant meals. Continue with the grading system I’ve been using.

 

Quest #3: RECOVER BIG

No computer, phone or TV past 9:30 on work nights in hopes that I can be in bed by 10pm. (4x/week)

Sauna 2x/week

Foam roll/massage/ tissue work 6x/week

 

Life Quest

clean-all-the-things-via-hyperbole-and-a

Daily: water plants, take out trash/recycling as necessary

M: dishes – done AND put away – and clean sink

Tu: vacuum

W: bathroom - counters, toilet, shower, mirror

Th: kitchen - counters, stove, etc.

F: sweep and mop floors – kitchen, bathroom, entryway, laundry room

Sa: rotating. Clean each thing once throughout the challenge:

  • upstairs bathroom
  • organize bedroom closet
  • vacuum, clean, and wash car
  • clean out kitchen appliances: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, toaster oven
  • organize pantry
  • clean/organize bedroom dresser (aka jewelry)
  • build bench

Su: meal prep, laundry

 

The goal is to do the thing on the day, but really as long as it gets done every week that is fine.

 

 

 

Might have some impromptu trips/vacations during this challenge so I will adjust accordingly.

Sometimes I don't know if the recovery is from all the lifting, or all the eating.

I was deadlifting on Monday and squatting on Friday as well. Had to change it up cause the squat day (which also had RDLs) would kill my legs for the weekend.

Oh and I'm in, cause I was one of the people who called you tiny.

So now you are organizing your adulting by the day? How... adult-like  :D

 

I'm impressed, I need to do something similar.  Looks like an awesome challenge!

you have more adulting potential than I, I think

 

I was doing the one adulting per day thing and I got real lazy with it. Like windexing the mirrors 3 days in a row lazy just to check off that I did something.

Hopefully this way all the things will get cleaned instead of only the quick and easy things.

 

I found the secret to weight gain. Eat a giant bowl of favorite sugary cereal, but instead of milk, you use ice cream. I would like to point out that this discovery was unintentional...

My belly hurts just thinking about that.

 

5 days of lifting a week sounds awesome!  Maybe you can deadlift the next person who calls you tiny and see what they think then?

I honestly truly have no idea what that means.

Workout is not written down but involved:

TRX rows

pushups

incline bench

DB lateral and front raises

Wide grip pulldowns

Cable Chest Flyes

Close grip bench

Face Pulls

Tricep rope pushdowns

decline situps

22 minutes on stationary bike, 4.26 miles

Foam roll

Sauna

 

Kind of a mish-mash of 2 workouts due to the holiday and weird week.

Also looks like the "weekly plan" for workouts will be a little different. Coach likes changing his mind. Volume will be a lot higher though. Like, stupid high.

 

It's 9:26 and I'm going to bed now. Soooooo sleepy.

Hi! Thought i'd following along for the getting big! :D And maybe all that adultness will rub off on me.. The only thing I do regularly is dishes because otherwise the flies will kill me.. how do you get away with doing them once a week? :o

By volume, you mean deadlifts for 5 sets of 10 with 135 or 155 or so, right?  I thought it belongs with bulking right there with high volume food.
