I like doing this one here except hands supinated.

Also going back against the wall and starting hands and elbows out to the side like goal posts and then moving up to vertical. Try to keep hands and elbows touching the wall the whole time.

I like to do a whole sequence of this type of movement as part of my warmup.

What are DB RDL's? 

Looks like a good first day really. No more naps should help with bed time!

It actually wasn't terrible, kind of mentally exhausting so I think I felt worse than the stats make me look. Hopefully I can get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight and that should help correct the rest of the week!

 

Ugh...I need to really get caught up on things BUT with the DB RDLs, just use straps.

 

My limiter with them is that I start to lose my breath cause I don't believe in cardio...fuck that noise

I would say I was the OPPOSITE of a punk bitch. Seeing as I had grip issues and still finished all my reps. #bossbitch

Day #2 Update

 

Quest #1: LIFT BIG

Tuesday 9/15/15 Bench Press +accessory

 

Warmup

Bench Press: 4x7x50, 3x5x55, 2x3x60 <-- Nothing. I really felt nothing on these. Way too easy. I like the volume on the lower body lifts, but these need to be heavier for me to benefit at all. I also found a hard time getting my setup right with the lower weights like this. Like I didn’t have enough force helping me set my shoulder blades, does that make sense?

Incline DB bench: 5x8x22.5# <--That’s more like it B)

FM (free-motion) Cable Chest Flyes – 4x20, 20, 15, 15, 10 <-- 15 got to be too much towards the end of the third set, but 10 was not enough :/

Bench dips: 5x15

Lateral/front DB raises superset: 3x12ex8#

 

10 minutes stationary bike

10 minutes treadmill, 6% incline

 

Quest #2: EAT BIG

P/F/C: 185/63.5/184.5 (goal: 180/55/180), A-

 

I was so not even hungry at the end of the day yesterday, but I forced myself to have some cottage cheese and grapefruit after my workout and then once I finished that all of a sudden RAVENOUS. Ughhh hunger Y U SO WEIRD?!?! So I added in a piece of dark chocolate, because dark chocolate.

Weight is up a little higher than I would like 135.0 this morning. It’s not the good kind of weight being up either. I think indulging a little too much over the weekend may have something to do with it (an entire large pizza, cake pops, a donut, a cupcake, 2 glasses of wine, perkins breakfast including an omelette, hashbrowns and 2 biscuits) Gotta reign that in this weekend and get back on the clean-ish train.

 

Quest #3: RECOVER BIG

I spent an extra lot of time doing some mobility and foam rolling after the workout. A little bit of everything. Hamstrings are still super tight from Monday, might give them a little extra lovin today.

I did not turn on my computer at all last night! And I was off my phone by 9:30 and in bed at like 10:08 and asleep pretty shortly after.

 

Week 1:

No computer, phone or TV past 9:30 on work nights in hopes that I can be in bed by 10pm. (1/4)

Sauna 2x/week (_ _)

Foam roll/massage/ tissue work 6x/week (X X _ _ _ _)

 

Life Quest

Yesterday’s task was to vacuum, but since I missed Monday’s task I did that instead. Dishes were done and sink was shined. They still need to be put away which I will do tonight.

Mr. J also took a short break from the playstation to take out the trash and recycling like I asked him to, yay!

Other notable things

  • Mr J’s uncle is supposed to be here visiting tonight so everything is up in the air for tonight depending on when he gets here and what we are doing. Maybe a workout? Maybe not. Maybe cleaning? Maybe not. Maybe go out to dinner? Maybe not. I’m eating low carb today at work to plan for the worst.
  • Need to at minimum water the plants today.
  • I also need to get my oil changed. I will likely do that Friday or Saturday and then do the clean car thing as well, I think.
  • I also need to call my mom tonight so I can use her Kohls charge and 30% off coupon to buy some new shoes. I’m really just writing this down as a self-reminder, because I’m sure none of you care.

I shall call her. I know she goes to Kohls. Do most people who go there get coupons? (I ask, because I also REALLY need new shoes.)

If he has a Kohl's charge they sent out coupons that expire today. she could have an extra 10, 20 or 30% off. My mom got 30.

I like them a lot as well, but always forget because I live 1/2 mile away from the mall and so that is the first thing in my mind.

 

I'm kind of at that awkward stage now though where the juniors clothes aren't really age appropriate, but the women's aren't either. The misses section is pretty nice, but those are mostly 'work clothes' and not casual clothes.

The section of highway 280 I drive through is one giant 7 mile strip mall lol. The two malls/shopping centers of significant size are both inconvenient, so I time most of my business there to coincide with my passing by for something else.

 

Definitely feel ya there. I pull from both, but...truth be told whenever I'm out and it's not for work, odds are I'm headed to the gym at some point, so...gym clothes lol.

Where I am at, every day is Casual Friday, but we do not want our customers to find out.  The guy who pushed the dress up when customers are around is no longer with us, so I am curious if I get periodic complaints when I "forget."  Today, I am in my trash clothes because I am cleaning up the last thing I trashed.  Right now, stuff is strewn about like a dog found something good in a garbage can.

For me, casual clothes = a t-shirt and jeans. These can be found in a variety of clothing sections.  I don't have many 'cute' casual tops that aren't t-shirts. The ones I have I got from the Loft Outlet store near where I work.  I also have some 'niceish' shorts from there.  I don't know what Kohls has with respect to that, I haven't been to one.... since I started college? Jeez that's been a while.

 

Though recently for school I've been wearing nike shorts and t-shirts. Which may or may not be a step down. Idk.

 

For work, I have to do biz casual most days, so I shop at the Ann Taylor outlet (can you tell I work next to an outlet mall?).  Their 'curvy' pants fit me nicely, though their tops are a little... old for me. So I usually wear their slacks and a polo. Or I just wear jeans and a polo. Because I work in manufacturing, and who really cares other than HR? No one.

 

I need new ballet flats, that's why I asked. Do they have cute ones at Kohl's? I will call my  mom, but I don't live close enough to steal a coupon from her that expires today. Oh well.

 

I'd say /threadjack, but I have a feeling it isn't done.

All my proper shorts got side-lined, because #squats I'd say I was sad about this, but I'd be lyin'. The only ones I have left are spandex, and even they are looking a little sketchy, lol. 

 

Kohl's has some good shoes in the few times I've checked out their shoe section, which was a few years ago TBPH. I'd give it a shot, also if you have any other weak areas in your wardrobe, it covers a lot of territory well.

Yea, I don't own ANY jeans that fit me. Not a single pair. Squat chick problems. So the outfits usually default to sweats or yoga pants unfortunately. Which isn't great when you need/want to wear something a little nicer like if Mr. J and I go on a date or something. I need to find myself a happy medium between "ninja turtle t-shirt and sweatpants" and "work appropriate collared shirt and dress pants".

 

I found a pair of boots I liked that I will be getting. The ballet flat game was mediocre, but again, it's not really ballet flat season. At least not in Wisconsin anyways.

There's a bunch of stretchy pants/jeans that get it done for me, even with quadzillas. Embrace the jegging, my fellow swolesisters.

 

I have only found these in kinds with the word "skinny" affixed to them...#no Mom swears she has found some that work this way, I am now curious.
