conditioning day:  20 min run on treadmill, ~2 miles

As usual sqwats were the hardest of the big 3.  ugh

added some shoulder mobility work - havent had any issues with my shoulders since I started doing this regularly.

I like it when the weights dont feel as heavy as you think they should.

 

Also, it looks like I have a 2 week work trip to Switzerland coming up the last 2 weeks of the month.  Trying to find a gym there where I can drop in for a reasonable fee (not easy there) and actually has proper free weights (also not easy there, all of the gyms I have looked at on past trips are mostly cardio based).  Otherwise this challenge will be ending next Wednesday.

Completed my Heroes of Hoist lifts today!

 

BW = 260.8lb/118.3kg

 

Squat 1:  335lb/152kg

Squat 2:  365lb/165.6kg

Squat 3:  385lb/174.6kg <--= 20lb PR fuck ya!

 

Bench 1:  315lb/142.9kg

Bench 2:  335lb/152kg

Bench 3:  345lb/156.5kg <--- 14lb PR fuck ya!

 

Deadlift 1:  405lb/183.7kg

Deadlift 2:  465lb/211kg

Deadlift 3:  475lb/215.5kg <--- 13lb PR fuck ya!  Also, this was the only lift I felt was in danger of failing - it was a REEEEAAAALLLLY quick lockout at the top

 

overall:  1205lb/546.6kg

 

still annoyed at my (relatively) poverty squat

And, based on the proportions of your lifts, I wouldn't say your squat is impoverished, I'd say your bench is rich.

 

I'm the opposite. My bench and deadlift fit the usual proportions, but are poor relative to my rich squat.

 

Your squat and DL seem proportionate to each other. But you bench almost as much as you squat.

It helps that I finally feel like I have enough confidence in my squat and DL (re: the balls) to really go after higher weights

Challenge Summary:

 

Since I wont be able to do any heavy lifting for the next couple weeks, I decided to put the final updates in now.  I will still continue with my normal schedule with that the hotel has to offer (DB's, leg press machine, press machine, and a few others that I will see if i can adapt).

 

Challenge Goal 1:  Smashed my PL goal of 1100 (previous high was 1035) with a 1205 total during the Heroes of Hoist virtual competition!  

 

Challenge Goal 2:  Successfully accomplished, mainly by fast walking with a 40lb weight vest on.

 

Life Challenge:  Epic fail  :nightmare:

 

Long Term Weight Goal:  I seemed to hover right around 260 - it is time to really focus on eating a cleaner diet (re: STOP EATING CHOCOLATE).

 

 

Now on to the next challenge, which will be brainstorming goals for the next NF challenge    :nonchalance:

Nice job! The lifts were epic. And that's what counts. Also jealous of your rucking, I tried to do some of my own but only made it out once.

 

How to be social among the warriors:

1) Post food porn.

2) Post brotastic gifs/memes

3) Make fun of @mattyboy7one8 by '@' mentioning him and what a giant pussy he is on other peoples' threads.

Yea, no #3 will get you at least an additional 50-75 posts/replies. The vast majority will be to join in on the mockery, and the rest will be lolz.
