DJtrippyT
Captain's log, stardate 41301.1. Today not a good day. It started with the ants. I woke up to ants all over our apartment. Don't know where they are coming from they seem to be wood ants of some kind...not at all interested in our food. It's a mystery. On the way to work I decided to take a different route to avoid what seems to be new crazy traffic and get hit by a car switching lanes without looking (I am fine, my car is drivable but banged up could have been much worse). While talking to my insurance company, realized that they did not have my current address. Updated address and increased my rate by over $40. Finally, once I got to work, I had a meeting with my boss and I might be losing my job (can't go into details. I live in a small community and work in a very small professional community). Things at work are going to go from tense to more tense and potentially ugly it is really a no win situation. Sooo I apologize in advance if I am a little less present from the boards. My plan is to stick to my goals for the challenge. I did not go to the gym mostly because I did not eat all day. Tomorrow will be a better day. arrrrrgh. sending good vibes. I hate when everything goes wrong at once. 1 Quote the year of living trippily So Very Current: Self-Care Previous: Adult Content Brain Weasels Choose Your Own Adventure Woman of Mystery - Worth it Simplicity Spoiler Take it Outside II Take it Outside Even More Current: 52 Days Currently Current: 100 Days Current: Queen 2: Electric Boogaloo Queen of the Jungle THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE CHALLENGE Apart six: Amazon (part 5) (part 3: The Wickening) (part 2) (part 1) Link to post

honeybadger
Thanks for the love rangers! Today, less ants. I managed to get to work without incident. I did have to drive past the accident site to pick up my police report. Work is awful...that is just going to be how it is for now. Kobiyashi Maru is most accurate. Well said Tank. honeybadger
Captain's log, stardate 41402.2. Emotional exhaustion at an all time high. However, I am, in spite of all the crazy going down, gonna Ranger the shit out of this challenge. Got to the gym after staying late at work. I explored the strange new world of the weight circuit machines in the "women's only" section of the gym. I did 3 sets of 10 for each machine (6 total I think). I have never done this before at my current gym. I quickly remembered why I never used the machines and stuck with free weights. The goal was to explore, and explore I did. Rangered! I also ran 2.75 miles with 1 mile of speed intervals. I will try to catch up on some challenges before working on my resume. 1 Quote Ranger/Recruit/Professional Do-gooder Challenge #1, Challenge #2, Challenge #3, Challenge #4, Challenge #5, Challenge #6 Challenge #7, Challenge #8, Challenge #9, Challenge #10, Challenge #11, Challenge #12, Challenge #13, Challenge #14, Challenge #15, Challenge #16 , Current Challenge "The Hardest thing in this world is to live in it. honeybadger
Captain's log, Stardate 41502.2. Weekend finally. Can't remember the last time I was this emotionally and physically tired. Looking forward to some much needed sleep. Tomorrow, time to catch up on what people have been doing...call insurance to file a claim so I can get my car fixed...do some domestic rangering...and workout. I might even try some "real world running" this weekend. That would be exploring strange new worlds twice in one week. Yikes. This will depend, however, on how I feel. honeybadger
Captain's log, Stardate 41603.3. Today's workout summed up in 3 little words. Real. World. Running. As you know this is significant because I am a diehard dreadmill runner. I managed somewhere around 2 miles not including the .50 mile walking to and from the park. I managed to avoid the things that keep me from RWR (bugs, biology breaks, off leash dogs, and creepers). Time to figure out what to eat for dinner. honeybadger
Captain's log, Stardate 42204.4. Week 1 is in the books. All things considered, not too bad. Here's what it looked like: Goal 1: Explore strange new worlds- I did this twice this week. Once in the weight room and once with some real world running...Rangered!Goal 2: Seek out new life- I posted on at least 2 new threads but both were in the Ranger universe. With everything going on this week it has been really hard just to keep up with everyone. I will keep the goals as is for now but giving myself lots of wiggle room. Goal 3: I only got 3 workouts in this week, all 3 included running. Again given everything, I am proud that I got 3 workouts in. I'm also proud that I took Sunday off to rest and take care of myself. I think McCoy suggested that Calories well under my goal. Daily average came in around 1250.Still zero candy consumed. Weighed in at 149.5 (I think I'm closer to 150, but it was the first time i've seen anything in the 140s in a long time) 3 Quote Ranger/Recruit/Professional Do-gooder Challenge #1, Challenge #2, Challenge #3, Challenge #4, Challenge #5, Challenge #6 Challenge #7, Challenge #8, Challenge #9, Challenge #10, Challenge #11, Challenge #12, Challenge #13, Challenge #14, Challenge #15, Challenge #16 , Current Challenge "The Hardest thing in this world is to live in it. honeybadger
Woohoo for real world running! There's a lot to be said for a changing view, fresh air, and solitude. Who needs a treadmill? The video only showed up when I went to reply! Totally cracked me up. The run was nice for a change of pace. It was also nice because I met my boyfriend and the kids at the park so it felt a little like family time. Glad you got outside for a nice run. Hope you even liked it. Do you think you'll make it a habit?I don't know if I ever really "like" any run but it was nice. I will try to get outside and run a few more time this challenge before the weather starts to change. I also might run a halloween 5k in October (depending on weather and how I feel the morning of the race) so it would be good to get some road miles in. I used to run outside much more. I had a better neighborhood and work schedule for it. I hate running. That said, I've come to somewhat enjoy trail running.
