I'm starting to fall into the "I can eat like an asshole because I train hard" mindset.

Hey, it's better than the "I can eat like an ass hole because I got up off the couch today" mindset.

Ps: Being in said mindset is at least 25% of the reason I started lifting in the first place.

PPS: Yeah, I'm umm. "stocky". I'm a dwarf, we're supposed to be.

Warm-up and skill, burpees, shuttle run, wall balls, other goofy shit.

 

WOD:

 

5 rounds for time of:
 
10 thrusters, #115
20 pullups, green band
30 pushups
40 air squats
Rest 2 minutes
 
Finished in 31:03. It sucked. Basically 30+ minutes of hell.
 
Also one of the coaches invited me to workout with the "competition" team, whatever that means.

That's gotta be an oxymoron

 

I used to hate on kipping before too.

High Bar Squat:

Worked up to a heavy single 90-95% then 70-75% 5x5.

 

Incline Bench Press:

225x10x3

 

Three sets of ten at 65%.

Worked up to a heavy set of five. Back was sore from yesterday's squats.

Definitely not a WOD conducive to us big guys. Probably could've done the bj's faster if I jumped down but didn't feel like blowing out my achilles. Situps suck when you have a gut getting in the way.

Bro I know its a joke. I still think its silly but when your doing 5 rounds of 15-20 pullups there really is no other way unless you're a sub 150 lb male.

 

I'm never quite sure on the internet. That's a fair point about the reps. I guess you have to follow along with the class even though you'd probably rather do it another way.
