Your Best Adventure

One of the things I love doing is just listening to other people's adventures. It gives me a sense of wonder, as well as gives me ideas for what I want to do.

So what is the best adventure you have ever had? It can be anything! so long as you look back at it and think, "That was awesome!" it counts. Let's hear all the cool things the NF nerds have done!

I took an epic (solo) roadtrip up the east coast of the US, stopping to visit friends in multiple states and going to states I had never been to before. By the end of it, my legs were bruised from the car seat!

I have a few:

1. Driving across I-80 from Dubois, PA to Alameda, CA and spending the summer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Biggest takeaway story: nearly dying in a Walmart in Nebraska as a tornado ripped by.

2. Spending a semester studying in Lucerne, Switzerland, and traveling a lot in Switzerland and on the British/Irish isles. Biggest takeaway story: breaking two toes playing Ultimate Frisbee before meeting any other exchange students, and thereafter introducing myself as the American gimp (the crutches were a big icebreaker).

3. Driving from Chicago to Salem, OR across I-94. Biggest takeaway story: gushing about Missoula and Seattle.
