Cu Chulainn Posted September 16, 2017 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2017 16/09/17 Front squat Doubles up to 72.5kg The past few sessions I've had a sharp pain in my right knee when I hit 72.5kg or thereabouts and had to stop. That's only about 75% of my 95kg max. Nothing much has changed in my training so I'm at a bit of a loss. I may have to cut the weight and frequency back a bit and see if it sorts itself out. I usually squat every third or forth day working up in trikes, doubles and singles to a daily max. If anyone reads this and has any ideas I'm all ears. Quote Link to comment

Sounds very similar. I feel it under/across the front of the right knee cap. I'm usually ok at breaking the hips just before knees but it could be something changes as the weight gets heavier.
