Lifting stuff up and putting it down again

Front squat

Doubles up to 72.5kg

The past few sessions I've had a sharp pain in my right knee when I hit 72.5kg or thereabouts and had to stop. That's only about 75% of my 95kg max. Nothing much has changed in my training so I'm at a bit of a loss. I may have to cut the weight and frequency back a bit and see if it sorts itself out. I usually squat every third or forth day working up in trikes, doubles and singles to a daily max.  If anyone reads this and has any ideas I'm all ears.

Where is the pain on the knee? I used to get it on the front of the left knee but realised it was because i was breaking at the knees first which prob irritated the patella. A few sessions of box squats fixed the form in my case.

Sounds very similar. I feel it under/across the front of the right knee cap. I'm usually ok at breaking the hips just before knees but it could be something changes as the weight gets heavier. I'll check it out. Thanks for checking in.
