The 2015 Heroes of Hoist!

Oh I will! :D When I started aerial I couldn't lift myself off the ground at all and I clearly stuck with it anyway to great success. I'm stubborn.

LIFT ALL THE THINGS!!

Stubbornness is a very good trait to have as a lifter. Welcome to the warriors.

That is to say that what I'd put up will be an insult to the name of weightlifting in terms of form.

Checking in!  If I manage to shake the Zombie Cold, then I can give the weightlifting a shot.

Wonder if I should have a crack at the weightlifting side of things for shiggles.

I was thinking about doing this too. It would add some more weightlifting entries and participation, even though I have no high hopes for myself since I've only ever done power cleans/snatches - never even a jerk.

Plus, I'm in the midst of volume for powerlifting, so anything I do on that front will not be my peak. I'll probably do a couple of singles one day but keep it to about 95%.

I guess I'm thinking way back to the time when "Challenge Winners" used to get swag.  But that was way back.  And have we been sending shirts to lifting winners regularly?  I guess I wasn't aware if that was happening.

yes we have :)

I just did some fairly casual maxing but not in a competition environment and probably won't be going near anything heavy again til January or February. Oh well!

I just started barbell training 2nd week of September, thinking of giving this a shot, just to give me a motivation to keep lifting. Lol

Will also do some casual maxing! (Can't afford to stress the CNS toooo much right now.)

Probably PL and WL both :)

Will there be a spreadsheet with all the results?

Yay, this is here! I missed the one over summer, so I haven't done a mock meet since Valentine's. This was pretty impromptu, and I played things a little conservative.

Squat: 325, 345

Bench: 175, 185, 195

Deadlift: 330, 345X, 345

Bodyweight: 172, Gender: Male

Total: 885, Wilks: 278

Opted not to take a third squat attempt. I had high hopes for deadlifts, after pulling 342x3 earlier this week, but my dream of 365 was definitely not happening today. It's still the first time I've officially pulled (and squatted) over double bodyweight, so I'll take it.

There will be if I can get my phone to cooperate.

But yeah, I think I should be able to manage to get it up today.
