I could say that I'm in this for the rebellion, but in all honestly I'm doing this for me, my wife, and my soon-to-arrive son. I joined NF only a few days ago, and I also joined a gym. I'm starting slow in an effort to make lasting changes. So, this challenge, I'm focusing on building lasting habits. That's my overall big challenge at the moment. Challenge: Develop lasting habits of health and fitness I'll do this incrementally. This first challenge, I'll focus on not skipping workouts and drinking water. I'll also remove dairy from my diet. These changes are enough to create change in my life, without exhausting me. My goal is to workout every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. My current workouts consist of a 20-min moderate rowing warm-up, followed by the NF BBWW. Goal 1: Hit all 9 workouts over the three week challenge (Oct 4 - Oct 24) I'm also really low on my water intake. As such, I bought a water bottle, and am tracking my intake. My goal is to drink three bottles each day. It's a 24 oz bottle so that's 72 oz each day. Goal 2: Drink 3 bottles of water each day for the three week challenge (Oct 4 - Oct 24) The last area of my life I need to work on is my diet. We eat fairly healthy, but whenever we eat an unhealthy meal, I notice it includes dairy. I've decided to simply cut dairy altogether. Goal 3: No Dairy consumption! The progress bar for this stays at 100% unless I eat dairy, then it falls to 0%. It's brutal, but I can't allow myself any wiggle room on this one! DapperHusband Posted October 10, 2015 Author Report Share Posted October 10, 2015 I thought I'd take a moment to update my progress. the first week is winding down and I feel great. I'm already noticing some reduction in the love handles and I have more energy. On the workouts, I hit all three pretty hard this first week. Yesterday I was dripping at the end so that really felt amazing. I'm a little behind on my water goal by about half a bottle each day, but I'm still getting much more water than before, which is really helping me to stay healthy. The dairy has been easy as my wife is lactose-intolerant. All-together I've been doing a great job on my goals and I'm feeling amazing!
