New recruit :-) joking 6 week Challenge!

Hi fellow recruits. I am new to the forums so bear with me :-) I am a 51-year-old gal who is wanting to level up nutrition and fitness. I am still navigating through the Academy, and all the awesome information it has to offer.

Main Quest– to lose 6 to 10 pounds during the course of this challenge; thereby increasing my health and wellness :-)

Goal 1-MOVE-scheduling a walk;minimum of a mile, 3x-4x per week.

Goal 2-LUNCH-plan ahead and pack/bring my lunch 4/5 workdays.

Goal 3-SWEETS- to not eat any unplanned sweets/candy at work ( The location of my crappy eating ).

I plan to use my fitness pal app to track my food along the way as well.

Welcome Shelle. Glad to have you with us.  You should check out the campus tours and the accountability groups. 


You might notice that someone has added a tag to your post.  This is not to box you into a corner but rather because your goals or lifestyle have links to the guild you've been tagged and we'd like to bring you to the attention of one of their guild ambassadors. These ambassadors will be able to offer you advice, encouragement and support on your goals.  You don't even have to wait around for them to come introduce themselves to you, you are more than welcome to pop into the Adventurers' board and introduce yourself to the guildies there. I am also around to answer any questions that you might have so do not hesitate to PM me.

Hello Shelle!  How has your challenge been going so far?  


Work was all kinds of trouble for me for quite a while.  I have a couple people that always want to share and this this drawer of junk.  I mean all processed and sugary crud.  Always offering.  Temptation right there.  They also stock the fridge with 2 cases of soda...no joke!  I always pack lunch too.  It helps so much.
