I fell off the face of the earth 2 challenges ago and I apologize for that. We went to Sturgis for vacation and came back and immediately went back to work, and everything got crazy after that. I am pretty sure I am back up to 200 lbs. I know that it happens, but it shouldn't. I will weigh on Monday morning. 

 

We moved into a HOUSE!! That's great news! We have an actual stove and oven now, so I can cook as much as I want! It is a 4 bedroom house with a garage and big back yard and I am in love with it! :) Coming from a 500 square foot apartment without a kitchen to this place is just amazing!! We also got a cat!! She is a sweetheart named Clover! A friend was getting rid of her because they are moving, so we gave her a home and we are definitely her people now! :)

 

My thyroid is all out of whack as usual... only my old doctor completely overmedicated me, which I told him he was doing but he wouldn't listen, so now my numbers are hyperthyroid, but I am not losing any weight and I am still exhausted. I only went to a new doctor because I found a lump in my breast, so I went in and she checked it and said yes, there is a "mass" there... I HATE that word, it's so super scary!! :( But anyway, I had a mammogram and an ultrasound and they said it's "probably" benign (UM, what? What is that word!?? Probably!? UGH!) and I have to go in for another mammogram and ultrasound in 6 months. Anyway, doc did labs:

She doesn't want to change my thyroid meds, even though the meds have basically destroyed my thyroid. She wants to keep things the same and check again in 2 months. She put me on Calcium and 8,000 units of vitamin D per day for the next 8 weeks! That's a lot of D! (That's what she said!! hehe). Anyway, my body hates me and it makes it super hard to lose weight, but I am going to do everything in my power to get healthy and stay alive! 

 

I am still gluten free. I bought the stuff to make egg muffins and mason jar salads this week, and I'm still drinking Shakeology every morning. I am trying to decide if I want to go Paleo again and stop sugar all together. I just feel awful an I feel like I am killing myself slowly. It needs to stop! I'm reading a book about a specific diet for thyroid disease, so I want to see what that recommends before I decide what exactly to do! 

 

I don't really know what goals I want to set this challenge... I know I want to lose weight. That's a given. But I feel like what I have been doing has not been working. However, for simplicity sake, and the fact that I am coming back after an absence, I'm just going back to these basics. I might change this depending on how I decide I need to eat for my thyroid problem.

Since moving in the first of October, I have unpacked a lot, but I still have boxes to unpack, and office/craft room to set up, a cleaning schedule to get to, etc. Let me see... how can I track this?

-Daily cleaning (dishes, laundry, litter box, make bed, pick up, wipe down)

-Weekly cleaning (This is on a daily rotating schedule)

-Unpacking or declutter (work in one room or area every day)

Yeah, I know. I've been dealing with my thyroid issues for a long time. I'm not sure I wasn't hyperthyroid as a teen before I became hypo. Now my labs show me as hyper. But my symptoms are hypo. It sucks.

I'm going to have to go follow your thread! :) Finding a mass is kind of terrifying! And waiting just sucks. So stressful. But it really was a wake up call. I need to be taking better care of myself. I'm only 41. I have my whole life ahead of me!

Weight: 200.8 ugh! I knew it was going to be bad. I can deal with it and before you know it, the weight will fall back off!

Breakfast: chocolate Shakeology, PB2, almond milk, 1 egg muffin

Lunch: mason jar salad with chicken breast, yogurt dressing, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, and lettuce; sheep's milk yogurt (my 2nd son works at a cheese kitchen where they make sheep's milk cheese and yogurt, it's amazing and all natural/organic!!); apple and peanut butter.

Dinner: grilled bbq chicken breast, baked sweet potatoes and onions in olive oil, grilled corn on the cob, sheep's cheese stuffed grilled jalapeños

Workout: 21 Day Fix Upper Fix - it's been a while, but I did it!! :)

I did have some trail mix after work, before my workout. I needed something to get me through. I was lightheaded a lot of the day and had a headache at the end of the day. It might be my body getting used to all the vitamin D.

My husband hates me!!! Lol not really, but he heated up some homemade queso and chips, so I had a few chips with queso because I couldn't resist. He knew I couldn't resist!!

No pop today!! That's a plus!! I went off of it for an entire year, and then started drinking it again. Ugh! So, I've made some rules...

- I can have EITHER a glass of sweet tea or a cup of coffee, however I want it, each day... But only one!

- I can have pop once a month. At work we get Sonic drinks brought in once a month, and it's a nice treat, and if I'm not drinking it all the time, it will actually feel like a treat!

- other than that, it's water or herbal tea without sugar.

So, in case you didn't know, the KC Royals won the World Series last night! I'm from the KC area, and the school where I work decided to close tomorrow for the parade... So I'm not working tomorrow. Hoping to get some stuff done around the house. I'll do CIZE, but obviously won't be doing Girls on the Run.

Thanks! :) Yeah, thyroid issues just suck!! I am hoping she just refers me to an endo. I feel like, because I read so much, that I know more about thyroid stuff than my doctors do. lol

Day 2... not getting much done. UGH! I am doing fine on my eating, but it's only 11 am lol Working in my office today. Woo.

Breakfast: Chocolate Shakeology with almond milk and PB2, egg muffin, cup of coffee (now I have to just drink water the rest of the day... what was I thinking??)

Lunch: salad like day 1, apple and peanut butter

Dinner: taco Tuesday = tacos with hamburger, homemade gluten free fry bread, fresh salsa, avocado, and shredded cheese

Snack: had a little leftover queso and chips

It was kind of a sucky day. I started a bunch of stuff but didn't finish anything. By the time I was done it was dinner time and I hadn't done my workout. I WILL make it up later in the week but I'm pretty pissed at myself and the situation. (Hubby took PTO so he was home all day and for some reason I never get much done unless I have the house to myself...)

I did manage to make some stickers for my planner.

Day 3:

Weight: 198.2!! Yay!!

We have a late start at work today so I don't have to leave my house until 9! Yay!

Breakfast: egg muffins, chocolate Shakeology with almond milk and PB2

Lunch: salad like day 1, apple with peanut butter, sheep's milk blueberry yogurt

Dinner: it's leftover night, so I had some pasta with sauce and cheese, part of a pancake, and a cup of coffee... I might have some chicken too lol

I did my workout!! Woot!! It was Lower Fix, so leg day! It hurt but I did it! My arms still hurt from Monday! O.o

So, not only was today a late start day so my schedule was jacked, we also had a fire drill. Fun fun. I came home and cleaned the kitchen. I also put my resume in for the manager of the cheese shop where my son works... They are opening a retail space and need a manager. I wouldn't be supervising my son, and he wanted me to apply, so I did. I figure whatever happens, happens. I'd love to actually use my MBA... I'm going to work on a scarf tonight while I watch a little TV.

Oh geez! Sorry guys! Had an insanely busy last part of my week with my middle son's 21st birthday and my 23rd wedding anniversary. I stayed on track for food for the most part, but not with working out. I will do better this next week!!

Monday:

 

Breakfast: vanilla Shakeology with PB2 and a couple gluten free oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (these are my downfall today...)

 

Lunch: salad like day one, but added dried cranberries and that made it so much better, sheep's milk maple yogurt, apple with peanut butter, and a couple more cookies. WTF? I cannot stop eating these cookies!!

 

Dinner:

This brisket (it wasn't really brisket... it was cheaper roast something or other...) that my husband grilled... it was AMAZING!! We also had baked potatoes and corn on the cob. And a couple more cookies. I made the cookies over the weekend and they are gone now, thank God!! What the hell!? They were like crack!

Sorry guys, I have been sick. :/ Sinus crap! UGH! I hate it when I start working out and eating better and then get sick, it's seriously not fair!!

I think I might try to kick sugar again... I always feel like crap when I am including sugar in my diet, especially the large amount of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I ate recently lol

Yup, I've been thinking of kicking the old sugar habit again too.  Just tracking stuff again, I've seen how much sodium I have been taking in too.  Crazy stuff.  I just need to make my foods, and not used processed stuff :)

 

UGH, same!! I hate that I KNOW what I need to do... but then I do something stupid like make cookies! LOL 

 

I am STILL sick... this sucks! Pretty sure it is a sinus infection. Had a fever yesterday off and on.

This is soooo true!!

 

And I am STILL sick. I decided to stay home from work today and just sleep, which I did until after noon. I got up and ate and am trying to get a lot of fluids, also started a different medication to see if it will help. So far, I DO feel a little better, so hoping this new med kicks it! 

 

Worked on Christmas presents this weekend since I was stuck at home sick! I cut these with my Cricut from white vinyl and stuck them onto chalkboards I purchased. I am making all our gifts this year, which I love doing! The red one is for my mom since her kitchen is red. The other one is the rest of the ones I am doing for other family members.

I am working on stickers for my Etsy shop today, since I am sick and can sit on my couch and do this while watching Key & Peele. :) 

 

Oh!! I almost forgot my BIG news!!! We bought a car this weekend!!! My car blew the engine so we needed something new, since all we had were my husband's car and his Harley, and it's getting cold, so he needs his car back! It was so painless it was crazy! As most of you know, our credit is an issue. We have been working with a place to hep our credit, but our credit scores kept going down... however, recently they are going up, so anyway we got a much better interest rate and payment than I thought we were going to get! YAY!! Plus, they took my shitty little car that blew the engine for a $2000 trade in so we didn't have to have a down payment!! YAY!!
