honeybadger
This challenge comes with no fancy theme and some very straight forward goals. Keeping it simple this time around is essential. If I learned anything from last challenge it is that I need to realistic with my goals given my work schedule. So back to the basics I go. Goal 1: Exercise Go to the gym at least 3-4x/weekRun 50 miles this challenge (this could be ambitious but I'm going for it) Goal 2: Diet Keep calorie average around 1350/dayEat pizza no more than 2x this challengeNo candy for entire challenge Goal 3: Be Social Post on my thread at least 3x/weekPost on at least 3 different threads a week Not the most exciting but what can I say...Honeybadger don't care! 4 Quote Ranger/Recruit/Professional Do-gooder Challenge #1, Challenge #2, Challenge #3, Challenge #4, Challenge #5, Challenge #6 Challenge #7, Challenge #8, Challenge #9, Challenge #10, Challenge #11, Challenge #12, Challenge #13, Challenge #14, Challenge #15, Challenge #16 , Current Challenge "The Hardest thing in this world is to live in it. honeybadger
Posting this here so I can find it easily. Ignore the double postedness.... Here are my goals for the holiday mini. I am really going to be playing around with workouts and diet while meeting the basic goals. I am on vacation for weeks 2 and 3 so this will be a good opportunity to test things out. I don't travel for the holiday. I won't be working for weeks 2 and 3. I also have a (crappy) gym at my condo. Basically I have no excuse for not sticking to and improving on my workout routine. Goal 1: Get at least 11 workouts in. It doesn't matter what the workout as long as it lasts for at least 40 minutes. The wheels came off the bus a little toward the end of this past challenge in regards to my diet. I need to get back on track. I want to reduce my sugar intake as a larger goal moving forward and will be playing with this over the next few weeks. Each week of the mini I have 1 event so there is the challenge. Enjoy and participate without over indulging. Goal 2: Log all meals in my food log. ALL meals. Stay within 1350 calories/day except on event days (that does not mean I can eat all the food.) The holidays are not a stressful time for me. Like I mentioned, I don't travel and won't be working. I do need some time to rest and recharge. I also use the time to get some adulting done (doctors appointments and car inspection, etc.) Goal 3: Read, knit, watch Netflix, play with the puppy and go to my doctors appointments. Yesterday was spot on for calories and I kept up with my food log. Sugar intake was restricted to paleo coconut macaroons I made for the first time. Today I still have to log dinner and I know I will be over calories for the day but not by too much. Today was not a great sugar day, but not awful. I took the past two days off from the gym. Plan on going tomorrow. This is my first challenge and I'm already completely overwhelmed with keeping up on the threads. Following to see you make it to 50 miles (amazing!).Welcome! Keeping up with the threads is a beast all by itself. Just do your best. Everyone is so supportive and understanding. I hope I wont disappoint with the mileage... it's going to be tough but I think I can do it. I found that setting a mile goal in the past pushed me more than just setting a goal for the number of runs. Also, your dog. Following for the pup-- I can't even!!!...too cute! I also have a schnauz <3I could seriously talk about my dog all day I love her so much. She is a Schnoodle but %100 Schnauzer in attitude. Interesting goals, subbing . . .Thanks! Welcome. Attach a link to your challenge, I would love to support you in return! Following once again. That is really a much more accurate depiction of me...how did you see through my badass-don'tgiveshit- persona...hahaha Totally annoyed that my baked eggs cups just stuck to my muffin tin despite generous greasing. I knew I should have used cupcake cups. That was just the first round of adulting for today. Still to come-laundry, packing my gym bags for the week*, more cooking, cleaning the bathrooms...and maybe the dog...definitely cleaning myself. *part of my weekly adulting is to pack individual gym outfits in ziplock bags labeled for spinning or running. It makes packing my big gym bag that much easier. AND because I have such bad remembering, I don't have to worry about forgetting socks or bras. I also keep a spare pair of running shoes in the car. 2 Quote Ranger/Recruit/Professional Do-gooder Challenge #1, Challenge #2, Challenge #3, Challenge #4, Challenge #5, Challenge #6 Challenge #7, Challenge #8, Challenge #9, Challenge #10, Challenge #11, Challenge #12, Challenge #13, Challenge #14, Challenge #15, Challenge #16 , Current Challenge "The Hardest thing in this world is to live in it. suzyQlou
I like your simple theme. It is real, and you will get it all done! packing my gym bags for the week. This is such a great idea. One of my biggest excuses to skip a workout is having nothing left to wear. It's flimsy, but my dirty workout clothes drive my laundry chores for the week, and I do laundry twice a week. If I had enough clothes to go all week long, think how productive I would be. And all pre-packed? I would have no excuses left... 1 Quote suzyQlou * Ranger Old Challenges: #1(2015) * #2 * #3(push ups) * #4 * #5(food) * #6 * #7(2016)* #8(nerdiversary) * #9 * 10(animal) * Battle Log * 11(2017) * 12(garden) * 13 * 14(biking) * 15 * 16 * 17 * 18 * 19(2018) * 20(2019) * 21 Link to comment

honeybadger
I like your simple theme. It is real, and you will get it all done! I would have no excuses left...Thanks. I tend to over complicate, over think, over prepare...I could go on...so keeping it simple is a lesson I often revisit. I can't remember when I started my very anal process of packing separate gym baggies. All I know is that it helps. So no excuse also no getting to the gym and realizing that I forgot an essential piece of gear. I do have lots of gym clothes which helps. I don't have a ton of gym socks or bras so that requires that I stay on top of my laundry. Looks like a strong challenge, Honeybadger: just enough to push you but not enough to break you. Thanks! I hope It has just the right amount of push. Day one: off to a great start! Diet totally dialed in. Not sure what the total calorie count ended up being. Tonight's run was tough but I did 3 miles in 29:38 with the last 2 miles at 9:50 each (according to the dreadmill). I ran an extra .25 to cool down. I am going to shoot for 9 miles this week. 2 Quote Ranger/Recruit/Professional Do-gooder Challenge #1, Challenge #2, Challenge #3, Challenge #4, Challenge #5, Challenge #6 Challenge #7, Challenge #8, Challenge #9, Challenge #10, Challenge #11, Challenge #12, Challenge #13, Challenge #14, Challenge #15, Challenge #16 , Current Challenge "The Hardest thing in this world is to live in it. honeybadger
My workout plan for the week has changed. My boyfriend had to leave town for a few days. This means I have to come home straight for work to take care of my furry beastie. No spin class for me. I managed to get a run (2.75miles) in at my condo gym tonight after taking care of the beast. I might be able to get to the gym on Friday. It was quick but I got the miles in and should be on track to hit my 9 mile goal for the week! Come and get me Evicious!!!On an unrelated note. I wore my cranky pants to work today. I'm going to try not to do that again tomorrow. honeybadger
Skipped the gym and picked up some Guinness on my way home. I do plan on making some beef stew this weekend but also needed a good beer! I have the TV all to myself until my boyfriend gets home on Sunday. So tonight I will get caught up on all my favorite shows. I will get my last 3 miles for the week in tomorrow along with a trip to the market (food for me) and the pet store (food for my furry beastie). 1 Quote Ranger/Recruit/Professional Do-gooder Challenge #1, Challenge #2, Challenge #3, Challenge #4, Challenge #5, Challenge #6 Challenge #7, Challenge #8, Challenge #9, Challenge #10, Challenge #11, Challenge #12, Challenge #13, Challenge #14, Challenge #15, Challenge #16 , Current Challenge "The Hardest thing in this world is to live in it. Ran my last 3 miles (30:20) for the week and practiced jumprope. The run sucked for the entire time but I Rangered through. I am consistently getting 2 uninterrupted double-unders in a row!
