Since last challenge was close to a disaster, I have to move on and start over. Additionally I really have to move. From Sweden to Germany.

After the workout on Day 4 my core muscles where quite tired and couldn't support my back anymore. While walking back from a friend's place later that evening I started to get back pain which increased in a way that I wasn't able to put on pants on Friday morning on my own. Half the day I was in pain, the other half the pain killers made me really tired.

 

Anyway, of course I wasn't able to workout or to do any other tasks. I'm happy to report, that my back is already much better, but I don't know yet, if I will be able to work out. Let's see.

week 1 summary:
 
Overall I'm happy with my achievements this week:
 
All missions are progressing as planned, except for the setback I had having this back pain on Friday (and Saturday). Thankfully my back recovered to its usual self (which means it still hurts sometimes, but after moving around a bit, it passes and I am able to do all movements).
 
The mini #1 was done after 2 days and I am looking forward to the next one.
 
I am using the Siu Nim Tau and Chum Kiu of mission 2 as warm up for the workout of the Hero's Journey and put in some chain punches as part of the sets. Or I do them in the morning.
 
The Hero's Journey is Fun. On Sunday I tried to do 2 Days of the Journey, to keep up with the schedule. But instead of 5 sets I just did 3 sets each which I decided was enough.
 
Mission 1 also contained a workout for pullups twice, so mission 3 goes as planned as well.
 
Except for the last day, I did tasks for mission 4 (life qust) daily. I just wish there would have been more packing involved, but I still have plenty of time.
 
Overall an A rating for me and tons of motivation for week 2. :)

week 2 summary

 

Life really tries to put stones in my way in this challenge. (Probably) due to some fishy tuna (pun intended) on my salad on Tuesday evening I got food poisoning. Serves me right for eating tuna from the salad bar. It was a quite interesting experience though in respect of how the body systematically tries to get rid of the poison and how the energy level decreases with every occasion of ... evacuation... err. Anyway, it was also devastated and could barely move on Wednesday morning after a night of... evacuations. But after fasting for 48 hours and drinking water really carefully and in very small doses I started to recover really fast.

 

Up until then I was doing so well this week, but I didn't have the mental energy to jump right back into my workouts, so nothing happened after Tuesday in this regard. I managed to cooked something up in the Yoshi mini challenge though and did some stuff for the upcoming move. That's something good at least.

 

Also I look forward for my workout in the evening. Let's go for week 3!!!

Week 3 summary:
 
This week life was good. No food poisoning, No back pain. Just my own lazyness that I had to fight. It got the better of me on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but I got back on track on Saturday and Sunday. A good conclusion of the week.

Since I am moving away from Sweden, I have to say good-bye to quite some people. That meant this week an afterwork on Thursday (therefore no workout) and a Good-bye party on Saturday (thus no training on Sunday). No excuses for Tuesday and Friday though (well actually I needed to do some "Black Friday" shopping). While I didn't pack any more moving boxes I was pretty busy looking for new apartments and doing other administrative stuff. Also did my WingTsun exercises and the mini challenge. All in all not too bad :)

Challenge over. I more or less didn't do anything the last 4 days, which I had already accounted for. I was sick twice, so I adjusted the numbers down. The results are the following

 

Mission 1: "Hero Quest"
Goal: Play through Darebee's "Hero's Journey"
Ratings:
A - Finished 38 days of the "Hero's Challenge" challenge
B - Finished 36 days of the "Hero's Challenge" challenge
C - Finished 32 days of the "Hero's Challenge" challenge

Yep, though it is not power leveling, there is nonetheless progress. Slow and steady wins the race... ;)
