I went to the fitness center yesterday before work. Pretty similar workout to what I did a few  days ago. I tweaked my knee a little bit doing pistol squats. I'll give it a rest for a little bit I think. 

 

Farmer's Walk: 1/2 mile - 25# kettlebell

Pistol Squat w/ TRX: 3x10

Tricep Dip: 3x15 - BW

Plank: 3x45sec

Burpee: 1x30

2 Mile Run

The ally and I went to the fitness center last Saturday morning. I tried to get a mix of cardio and strength together. I think it worked alright. I left the pistol squats alone to let me knee recover a bit more.

Due to due to an ankle injury I suffered many many years ago, I can't jump rope or have any repeated on/off ankle stuff. 

 

 But I hope to be able to do some pistol squats like you!   Working up towards it! 

 

 I am getting better at running and hopefully it might help the ankle situation.

(and in about 12 years I might be able to match you!). Haha!

I've been doing pistol squats while holding some bands that are hung from the ceiling, but I'm still working on doing them completely unassisted at some point. Maybe one day soon.

 

I'm sure it won't take you 12 years - just keep after it. I've only been running seriously for about the past 18 months.

I had sort of an odd night last night: went to bed at 9:30, woke up at 12:50; watched Rocky IV; watched Rocky V; fell asleep for an hour; went to the fitness center at 6:00. Not a great sleep pattern, but I tried to make the most of it. Steve's post yesterday on NF inspired me to get a fix on some Rocky.

Got in to the fitness center this morning around 8:00. It was pretty dead when I started but had filled up by the time I finished, so I got out of there just in time.

This morning, I got into the fitness center around 6:30. I really liked the recent Nerd Fitness Winter is Coming workout. I thought I'd give it a shot, and hoo boy did it kick my ass. I'd originally planned to make it through all six "seasons" but only ended up going through 3-4. I'd totally recommend this to anyone looking for some spice this winter. I will be adding this to my regimen for sure. - SPOILER ALERT - (In case you haven't seen the show.)

I went to the fitness center after work today. I was really sore last Saturday after doing the Winter is Coming workout. However, I loved it so much that I did it again today, however this time I switched up the last circuit.

Today, I went to the fitness center before work and got another 3.5 miles in on the treadmill. I followed my run in with some push-ups and burpees. I don't know if it's because the fitness center wasn't very warm, but I felt great on my run this morning. I feel like I could've gone longer, but I was running up on time before work. Either way, a really good run.
