By half-way through his watch he'd been having trouble keeping his eyes open. Just when he thought he'd finally gotten acclimated to the snoring of his newest bunk-mate, they had been re-routed to intercept these vessels. The anticipation of the possible fight ahead had given him trouble sleeping, and forty-five minutes ago he'd been calculating how much sleep he'd actually gotten over the past three days and wondering whether it was worth going to sick call. Now the adrenaline was pumping, and he was no longer feeling tired. But he was still having trouble focusing. Can't win for losing, sometimes. As the target plowed through the waves, turning to evade faster than he'd have thought something that big could move, he set up the shot and fired. As soon as he did it he felt an exhilaration, satisfied that the shot would go straight and true and hit the carrier well. He'd probably feel bad later on, thinking about the people who died, but that's what talking to the chaplain was for. He began lining up another shot. Quote Link to comment

The Submarine is still in sight and has surfaced for an unknown reason.
