MAIN QUEST: Lose Weight Feel Great!


To hit my goal range of 125-135 and do it in a healthy way!

Goals (diet and fitness related) that will help me achieve Main Quest:

 

I have managed to GAIN some weight back. I need to get back on track!! I feel like I have always done better when I do a challenge revolving around pounds lost, so I am going to go back to that at least for a while! I am also doing a Challenge Du Jour for workouts, if anyone wants to join me, here's the link: https://www.teambeac...ingRepId=558773. I am working on getting 10,000 steps a day again, and am paying myself $1 for each day I do it, I know that's not a LOT but it buys art supplies!  ;) Speaking of art, that's one of my side quests... get working on developing my art skills! And my other side quest is blogging and vlogging! I am really wanting to step way out of my comfort zone and start a YouTube channel and actually vlog in 2016!!

 

1. #LoseWeight - get to 199 during this challenge

Ok, so I couldn't find my video camera... Since we moved in October. I finally found it and the GoPro so I'm charging batteries so I can vlog. I'm terrified of vlogging but I'm gonna do it anyway!!

Also, I ordered this Copic and colored pencil hair and skin coloring course online today and proceeded to start printing out the 96 page guide... But managed to forget that my printer is set to Max DPI... So this is going to take eons to print lol guess I'll go download the videos to my tablet, and take a shower, and vlog, and watch 100 movies, and... Maybe it will be printed by then...

Chrissy and new years are always a hard time it's so easy to gain back the weight we work so hard to keep off!

I love my fitibt, it's helping me track a few of my goals this challenge too :)

I also went to the eye doctor. It went well except I have floaters, which I knew about, and she said in a year I will need bifocals. I said I wasn't old enough for bifocals and she agreed but said my eyes were old enough lol UGH! I don't want bifocals!!

Can't wait!! :) X goes back to school tomorrow and I go back to work Wednesday. I'M NOT READY!!!!!!!! But my eating will get back on track, so there's that! I more than likely won't hit 10,000 steps today, but starting Wednesday when I am back at work, I should have no problem doing it!

Ugh i feel you I've been wearing glasses since i was 2. Yours look really cute!

I have only been wearing them since I was in 7th grade, but I am blind without them... I just see shapes. I tried contacts, but my eyes are too sensitive, so I deal with glasses. And now I feel like I look weird without them anyway lol

Hi!! :) Well... I'm not doing much photography, but I want to get back into this year, but just doing personal projects. My business was on the upswing when my life fell apart 3 years ago, and I just haven't gotten back into it. I would really like to photograph people and then use those photos for drawing inspiration. We will see.  :)

Ok, so I vlogged. I kind of did it kicking and screaming, because I hate the way I look and sound on video. And I say "um" a lot... but here it is, in it's unedited glory lol

 

 

 

I did my workout and drank my shake! Today's workout was PIYO Sculpt! I am so sore already from that lol

I played with my Copics a bit today, just to get a baseline of where I am before I start in on this class I am taking! It's rough... plus my printer ink does NOT play well with my Copics... boo!! That's why it's all smeary! Blah!! I will be coloring in the bottom image after I finish the class. I did NOT want to post this, but I am trying to step out of my comfort zone this year... I got Copic certified about 6 years ago and then I just kind of stopped working with them... so I need to get back into the groove!!

Oh, I also made an executive decision: I am going to start getting up at 5 am to work out. I don't WANT to get up that early, I am NOT a morning person... however, I find myself too tired and too full of excuses if I wait until after work to work out. So, this is my way of tackling those excuses!!

So this is going to be your Onederland challenge?  AWESOME!

Back when I was doing it a little bit, I recorded on my cell phone that did 1080p, and my digital camera.  Even if you have poor video though, audio is key.  I've been tempted to try to get a little mic/camera setup at my PC.  Then maybe I can do a podcast or something ;)

 

For glasses, have you ever thought about the lasek stuff?  My wife had it done, and her only regret was that she didn't have it done sooner.  I'm overdo for and Eye exam myself.  I've considered the lasek surgery, but my vision isn't that bad without glasses.  Still, I think it is a little worse now, and it would be kinda nice not to have to deal with it.

I have a nice little Canon Vixia Mini, and I think it does ok, other than it's a bit of a wide shot when you zoom out. I have been thinking I might get a nice mic at some point, like a BLue. But that's only if I really start doing a lot of videos and feel I need it!

As for Lasix, I have thought about it. I am not sure if I am a candidate for it or not... my eye sight is REALLY bad, but I thought about checking into it. I just really can't afford it right now. (Or there are other things I want to spend my money on, like a home gym lol)

I am so used to having glasses, I don't know if I would like how I look without them lol

I DID get up at 5 am and work out!! I am sooo glad I did, because I did not want to come home and do it! lol I'll definitely add you on Fitbit!! :) 

So... today was Body Beast Cardio. I don't know what workout I will be doing each day until they post it... when I saw this one I almost went back to bed lol But I did it anyway, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! :)

I also went back to work today. Blah. I am looking for a new job, even though I like the one I have... I need one that is year round now that we have a bigger rent payment and a car payment. Looking for a job sucks. Especially when you don't know what you want to do. I have an MBA in HR and Marketing that I have basically not used at all. I have worked in medical offices and schools... I don't know what I want...and I don't know how to go about getting a better job with a degree but minimal experience. Boo!

My eyes weren't too bad. -2.00 diopters and no astigmatism...

 

Mine are really bad, I can't see anything but blurs without my glasses unless I am right on top of something... and I have astigmatism. Boo!
